  • "Waitress was friendly and accommodating. We had 3 generations and everyone was happy and enjoyed the meal and the company. The service was excellent."

  • "This is a solid brunch or lunch spot if you want to enjoy the view of the marina. The food was good but not exceptional. It was very quiet when my party lunched there over the weekend. Looks like a great spot for drinks and happy hour gatherings."

  • "This was my first time at this restaurant. My lunch was delicious, and our waiter was fantastic. It was so nice looking out at the boats on the water, and the four of us could actually carry on a conversation without yelling. I would definitely go back there."

  • "Had a late-ish mid-week dinner here 2 months ago & was impressed by food quality (all 3 courses were very satisfying), portion size, and service. Returned for a Monday night dinner recently & was disappointed by smaller portions & less well-prepared food (comparing apples to apples, as I'm comparing the same menu items as in the previous dining experience). Also, the wine list of wines by the glass appears to have been down-graded. Perhaps these are needed cost-cutting measures; I'm just saying, this patron and her dining companions noticed. "

  • "We loved it. Not only the wonderful atmosphere but the food was out of this world. We have already told all of our friends it's a must see! We'll be back."

  • "It is a small but warm and inviting restaurant with a historic location. Extensive menu,"

  • "Service was fantastic. Very large menu with plenty of choices. It was a birthday party and the cake was to die for."

  • "The Chicken Alfredo ($18.00) was not near worth the price. It didn't have a much of a taste at all. Looking back I would have chosen the ($13.00) Pasta Alfredo in a hearbeat. The dining experience was overall okay."

  • "I have been coming to Quinns for a long time and have generally received good service and good food. This time was different. After waiting for10 minutes for someone to pay attention to us, we finally hailed someone who happened to be the guy who brought bread around. He seemed confused who to call and finally a waiter came to acknowledge us and get our drink orders. The bread guy then came around to drop off bread - now why didn't he do this in one of the 3 times he passed by our table? Somehow the food this time is not how I remembered it, the jambalaya had too much tomato sauce and the fish in the cioppino was overcooked."

  • "Been coming for a number of years. Invariably the food has been excellent with an adequately mixed menu plus some quirky dishes( doohdah). Service is excellent and the beer list includes black porter beer. Not pushy to order nor to leave!. Only drawback is an occasional party which increases the noise level- but this has been only once for us over many visits. nice for 2-6 persons."

  • "Food and Service delicious. Our Waiter was very knowledgeable. Reasonable prices and great ambience."

  • "Like Quinn's for lots of reasons: location; burger; clams. I took a chance & went with the mahi- mahi special. Big mistake. It was smothered in this sauce that pretended to be bernaise. Why is it necessary to cover up a great fish with some goupy offering that overwhelms the senses? With fish I think less is more: tread lightly & stay out of the way. I'll go back, but will stick with the fish & chips"

  • "we've come here ten times in the last few years. Always excellent food and service. But today the things we ordered were just okay. The caeser salad with salmon came with the romaine leaves not separated at all. Turned out to be very dry and very awkward to eat with the salmon balanced precariously over the uncut romaine. would not order this ever again. And my spouse had the roast beef Panini. Not so great. again, all the other food we've ordered has been wonderful - the Doo Dah dishes are excellent and the mussels. Also, the menu's just were reprinted and there seems to be a smaller selection of items. Hopefully that is all that has changed with this great restaurant."

  • "I reserved our table for 12:30 but we ran late. The host was very understanding and since the lunch crowd was thinning, he seated us at a lovely table by the window. Two of us ordered soup, lobster and crab chowder which was excelent. Plenty of seaford pieces. The guest of honor ordered a salad that was extra large. I ordered the fish and chips-the fish was fresh (2 pieces) and the slaw was good and crisp. The other dining guest ordered the lasagna and she was happy with the choice. We also ordered desert, I ordered the cherry topped cheesecake which was very good and my two dining companions enjoyed a warm piece of bread pudding. All and all we enjoyed both the food and scenic view!"

  • "The food was good and better than I expected. The views are excellent, the Alameda Estuary and the Oakland Marina on three of four sides. The serving staff was only okay. The server was not very positive nor particularly friendly. Of course, it could have been an off day. The support staff for the server was very good and almost made up for the server's lack of professionalism. Go for the view!"

  • "Quinn's is a great local establishment that has never disappointed. Atmosphere, good food and the most friendly staff of any restaurant around. We always leave hoping we can come back soon."

  • "We really hoped this would turn out better than it did. It is a very attractive restaurant, and the staff were friendly, professional and helpful. We started with the tomato topped with shrimp, vinaigrette and pesto. This was good, uninspired but good. We both had tuna with ravioli and scallops. This was a special on Valentine's day so we thought it would be good. We were sadly disappointed with our entrees. The tuna was over cooked for us and everything was smothered in a curry ginger sauce that was light on ginger and heavy on curry. The scallops, ravioli and asparagus were quite good, but the tuna was not to our liking. We'll try this restaurant again before writing it off completely, but..."

  • "There aren't many choices of nice restaurants around the Oakland airport and Oakland airport hotels. BUT, sometimes you find a nice little jewel that shines. Within a quick drive north of the airport toward downtown Oakland (15 minutes) is the Quinn Lighthouse Restaurant off of Alameda Harbor. I enjoy the Yacht Club Dining Room on the main floor which has the ambiance of a very nice and comfortable seafood restaurant. Never seems crowded because I don't believe many people know about it. Prices are reasonable between $11-$25 for the main entree; food never disappointed me. Enjoy taking my colleagues there. This is one of my favorites in the area."

  • "I took my mom for lunch on Christmas Day. Ambience was really nice and service was great. I had the crab louis, which had lots of fresh crab. My mother had the surf and turf and enjoyed the lobster and took her filet home. Would definitely come back and sit outside on a warm day or upstairs for happy hour or on a game day."

  • "I really enjoy going to Quinn's. I was a bit disappointed in the service this time, however. We had to ask for cream for our coffee refills and for more bread. With a bill of nearly $100, that shouldn't be necessary."

  • "Great service. Moderate prices. Full servings of wine and a perfect Vodka Martini. Quinn's is our new favorite for seafood & steak dining. The old lighthouse setting is very romantic."

  • "As our traditional Turkey dinner with family was postponed until Saturday after the holiday, we went to Quinn's and had their ham dinner on Thanksgiving. We enjoyed a great sunset, excellent service and a very good ham dinner with pineapple glaze, green beans and mashed potatoes. Quinn's is consistent and has an extensive seafood menu along with traditional American food.Very good beer list and good cocktails from the bar, peanut shells go on the floor of course! We go to Quinn's a few times a year and enjoy the overall experience at very reasonable prices. Hope you enjoy as much as we do! GN Alameda, CA"

  • "We each had a cup of soup and shared their crab sandwich. The clam chowder was overly thick with little flavor. My wife had the soup of the day which was a tomatoe with tortellini. Here again, overly thick and nothing special. We had been assured that the crab was fresh but that seemed doubtful since that day was the first day of crab season and we were there at lunch. We should have trusted our instincts as the crab clearly wasn't fresh. The sweet potato fries were not crisp at all."

  • "I asked if the crab, offered in the Crab Louie, would be fresh. Waitress assured me it was. It wasn't. It was dry and tasteless. In asking, I told the waitress that I would be happy to order something else on the menu if the crab was fresh but she assured me it was."
