I have been to the restaurant a few times over the many years of it's existence. It is a historical restaurant nestled on the Oakland Riviera. It has a friendly atmosphere and serves good food. Whether you are there for brunch or dinner I have always enjoyed my meal. We sat next to the window over looking the many yachts that are docked near by the restaurant. As the sunset started...It made for a very calming and romantic dinner.

The balsamic vinaigrette is AMAZING! The garlic cheese bread is delicious. About 50% of their food is perfect. For the other 50%, let's have an example, shall we? I don't understand the Doo-Dah at all. Those vegetables do not match the Mexican style accompaniments. It was just, plain strange.

We (7 of us) went here after an A's game for my Sister's birthday. We made reservations for 6 pm but the game ended at 4. We arrived at 4:30 and asked if there was room to sit then. They accomodated us gladly. The service was very professional and attentive. The food was amazing and large portions! We will be going back when in the area!

We found this restaurant when we stayed nearby a few years ago. Now we plan our Bay Area trips around eating here. While close to the Nimitz freeway (880) they are in the middle of a marina with a view of Coast Guard Island. The sunsets can be spectacular. I love their varied seafood menu-from Paella and lobster lasagna to shrimp salads. My husband likes their steaks and the Cobb salad with chicken. We had planned to try some other restaurants this year, but after one try, we plan to go back every night and will have sampled everything I want to try. Do try their mixed green salad, they add a fruit garnish that is always fresh and tasty. There is a pub upstairs with almost the same menu. We have not been there.

After a long day of traveling I stopped in for a quick dinner. I'm sure Quinn's is more energetic on a sunny day when all the boats are coming in. Still, there was a pirate band playing upstairs in the bar. Looked like a fun time!

I made reservations for three but we showed up with four and they were perfectly accommodating. They sat us downstairs in a nice, old-timey room right by the windows overlooking the water. My grandfather arrived ahead of us and got a spot on the roof. He came down to find us and brought us up to his table. I'm glad he did. There are peanuts on the floor, wide umbrellas, beautiful views. All of the portions were huge! None one mentioned if their food was amazing but I think everyone enjoyed what they ordered and they certainly got a lot of it. The upstairs filled up and people were happy to take our spots when we left. We got there at noon and there were just a few people. By 1:30, it was packed.

We were visiting the Bay Area and looking for a place near our hotel. We found Quinn's a mile down the street and were pleasantly surprised. The service was great, the view was nice, and the seafood Alfredo was the best I've ever had. In fact, it was so good that we returned the day after and i ordered the exact same thing! It was just as good as the first time. It was really cool to learn the history of the building also. We will miss visiting Quinn's when we get home. Highly recommend!

This was my first time at Quinn's Lighthouse. We were celebrating a coworker's birthday and it was his suggestion. We had lunch in the pub. I liked the ambience. I love the idea of eating the peanuts and tossing the shells on the floor! Well, we quickly ran out of peanuts. The service was terrible! Our waiter must have taken a break and didn't have a backup. We had to ask other busy wait staff for everything (including set ups after our food came, and refills of drinks). Even though we were celebrating a birthday, we weren't offered dessert. The poor service was very upsetting! The food was wonderful! Everyone enjoyed their choices. So, I will try again and hope the service is better.

Only two out of four meals were acceptably edible tonight. My Mom's chicken parmesan plate was totally unappetizing...dry, bare pasta?!!! My Dad's seafood Newburg was too salty. He has been talkiing about how much he would love to find a restaurant that serves itt again, 'cause you just can't find it offered any more So I brought him here specifically because I know that Quinn's has it on the menu. He got all happily excited when he read it and exclaimed, "I know what I'm having!" Needless to say, he was disappointed. Worst of all, it was his birthday. With Mom not eating her dinner at all, and Dad no longer excited about his, you can imagine it was not a Happy Birthday.

I came here with 3 other women for Mother's Day. We got a table right by the window and were very pleased. Our food arrived promptly & hot, despite it being busy. Went here for Mother's Day, my wife ordered an Arnold Parmer which tasted like it only had tea only. Our waiter didn't seem to agree because he had made it personally himself. So she ordered a sprite, he returned with 2 sprites one for her and one for me. I was drinking Coke. The waiter at the other table made them aware of todays specials. Our waiter never acknowleged our thank you's or mentioned any specials. My wifes food was ok but my omlete advertised shrimp, chicken and sausage. I received 2 small shrimp,1 small chunck of chicken and sausage. I also found mixed in my red potatoes a sku# lable from a local farmer. I didn't mention this to our waiter because he was already upset about the Arnold Palmer situation. I won't be back.

Quinn's is a special place in a different setting. From directions it seemed it may be a little tricky to find but was anything but that. A very nice setting right next to the water with boat slips all around. Even though pretty close to freeway it was really peaceful.Quinn's is really 2 places in one, the lower level is a nice dining area with great views and upstairs is a pub where you can eat peanuts and throw them on the floor and on nice days you can eat and or drink outside. The menu covers a variety of food, mostly seafood and same menu is ordered from at both levels
