We enjoyed a scrumptious fish and vegetarian entree, with memorable lobster appetizers and a favorite Silver Oak Cabernet. The service was warm, inviting and very professional. Overall, I am so happy I have a special go to restaurant for my family and friends."

  • "I took my wife and I here for our anniversary, and I must say that this was some of the best food I've ever eaten! The service was fantastic and the setting wasn't stuffy at all, as expected with some of the upscale restaurants of this sort. Dress was fairly casual and the noise level was actually quite loud, even though there were only a few tables occupied while we were there. I would imagine that, at busier times, the place is quite noisy. So if you're looking for a very quite, private dinner, maybe this place isn't for you. However, that being said, I will definitely return to this restaurant and highly recommend that you try it too!"

  • "Which included a shrimp K-Bob, was indeed, really special! The offer was a six ounce filet combined with 2 shrimp K-Bobs, on a skewer with rice. Our server, and bartender, Phillip, sold us on a great dish, and the chef executed! We will be back, hope to make this venue a weekly experience!"

  • "We didn't know what to expect, but this restaurant came highly recommended. The dress is more business casual (jeans and boots, maxi dresses) but the food is gourmet!! This food is different, not something you eat everyday, and we loved it!! The service was outstanding, attentive, but not stuffy at all! We will definitely go back!"

  • "We weren't too happy with our last visit to Qeenies, usually its great but not last Friday night. Not sure if they got a new cook or what. The lobster cakes were cold, my husbands steak was over cooked and my lobster was so over cooked, it was like rubber. We had to ask a couple of times to get our drinks refilled. We will try Queenies one more time hoping for better luck next time."

  • "Had a double pleasure of meeting, the restaurant's namesake, Queenie, and enjoying the fine cuisine served in this fantastic venue! Enjoyed the Filet and mushrooms again, with the striped bass-both were prepared perfectly! Queenie shared the story of her honor, and after enjoying some time speaking with her, it is easy to see why the restaurant is honored to by named after her! Kudos to both!"

  • "Dont forget the mushrooms as you order your steak. The 15.00 price point may give you pause, but don't let it! There is a flavorful combination of garlic, basil that gives the several different variety of mushrooms a flavor that you will enjoy, either with, or without your steak. There are enough 'shrooms to share. Everything was fabulous this evening, as Phillip, the bartencer knocked it out of the park, with his mixology skills and knowledge of the menu. We will be back!"

  • "Decided to do a Non-steak evening. The striped bass was a big hit, with the fish cooked just right, and a very flavorful combination. I can't say the same for the pheasant, which did had a crusty exterior, as advertised, but the crust quickly gave way to a moist dressing-like texture, the flavor of which, did not really go anywhere. I guess the best way to describe it, is, all dressing, and no turkey! To the credit of management, when they were told of my dislike of the dish, they took it off without any hesitation! Cudos for standing behind their menu! Looking forward to a return!"

  • "I could not believe how good, no, GREAT, the steaks and sides are here. Got the filet and ribeye, mushrooms, and, please do not forget the shrimp as an appetizer. Everything was cooked creatively, and to perfection! Before going here, I thought the capital grill in Plano was the best restaurant around-no more! If you dine here, you will understand why Tim Love is an acclaimed chef-he retains a tight control on everything that comes out of the kitchen. Ate at the bar, and enjoyed the expertise of the bar manager, Phillip, who is very knowledgeable about the menu and the Denton dining scene. This place is the best in DFW!! Will be back, for sure!"

  • "I went with my girlfriend, really excited to be going to Queenie's! We were sat down and had really good service. We had lobster cakes which were awesome. They then served charred bread which was disgusting. It tasted like ashes. We then had steak with 2 sides. My steak was perfect, hers was as dry as could be had been cooked too long. We had mash potatoes, which tasted way too sweet. This might be normal but I didn't like it. And our last item, asparagus, was pretty bland. I feel disappointed."

  • "Sunday Brunch comes with a "buffet". I don't know what else to call it, but it is the understatement of the year. This one-table buffet was a couple of plates of deliciousness including huge prawns, a whole poached salmon plus potatoes, salads, cinnamon rolls and more. I put a note in our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. Without a reminder, they acknowledged the birthday at the end if the meal with a candle on a plate of homemade donuts. Service was excellent! Highly recommend."

The bloody mary bar and buffet offerings were wonderful, and the accompanying entrées were even better. The pace of service was deliberate and a wonderful change of pace from the hustle you and out service that is now customary. Give it a try. "

  • "Our main meal included the Wagyu Tomahawk ($90), Grilled cauliflower and crispy potatoes. These two sides were tasty. The Wagyu steak, on the other hand, was an extreme disappointment. When you order a $90 steak, one would expect to exit the restaurant saying "wow, that was fantastic." We ordered our steak medium rare. We always order medium rare at restaurants and also cook that way at home. We know what medium rare looks like. This steak was rare! Almost still mooing! We didn't make a fuss because we felt it wouldn't be appropriate at a "high end steak house." We were aware that this cut of beef had marbling and fat, but were astonished that almost half of the $90 steak was pushed to the side of the plate. Beware! "

  • "This was a very special occasion for my me and my girlfriend. She was visiting from Syracuse New York and I wanted to treat her to something a little different. Great service and a unique menu did the trick. I personally had the best steak I've had in years. It was the Beef Tenerloin and was cooked to perfection."

  • "We looked forward to Queenies, but left totally disappointed. We selected the omelette & the burger. First the waiter didn't ask how to cook the burger & it came well done. The taste was good, but the bun was too big for the patty. Next the omelette was supposed to be chiles & carmelized onions, but it was spinach with unmelted grated cheese. There was no toast or side with the omelette, & when we asked, he said he thought there might be a slice of bread on the buffet. One choice on the menu was chicken, but it was a thigh! When looking at the above-mentioned items on the menu, the price of $19.50 was way out of bounds. The buffet included 1 vegetable, 1 potato, bowl of sausage, 2 salads, very skimpy compared to other restaurants. "

  • "We drove 30min to eat at Queenie's for my husband's birthday (b/c Lonesome Dove in Ft Worth is his favorite) but Queenie's is closer to us so we gave it a try. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area. We made the mistake of bringing our 2 year old; if you are thinking about bringing young kids I would say get a sitter! ;) Food was excellent but the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is we thought food was slightly overpriced, and also for the appetizers we did the option where you can try one of everything and a couple of the apps were average. Our favorites were the oysters and shrimp. We ordered the pheasant and striped bass and they were both excellent. The pheasant was probably the best pheasant we've tried, very tender. "

  • "Ive been to Queenies twice for Friday lunch and this week I had the opportunity to enjoy the Sunday morning brunch. Wonderful and and a great bargain at $20 per person. The menu choices are unusual and always cooked to perfection. The fried quail and waffles was a favorite. Don't forget the do it yourself Bloody Mary bar. Perfection and a fun place to spend a lazy Sunday morning. And no, I am not employed by Chef Tim Love."
