  • "Three course meal was fantastic, service was attentive and friendly but not overbearing, cocktails were divine, wine list was thoughtful and diverse, an overall wonderful evening."

  • "My husband and I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary. We chose Queenie's because we know it's special. The wine list is fantastic. You get the best service in town. We shared a wagu beef tomahawk that was just melt in your mouth amazing. The dessert was a spin on donut holes served in a paper sack with three different dipping sauces. Chef Tim Love is the owner and chef. I've never tasted anything I didn't totally enjoy."

  • "My husband and I dined at Queenie's Saturday night to celebrate the closing on our dream house. We started with the seared foie gras and the grilled shrimp and both were exceptional. My husband ordered the chicken thighs and he couldn't stop raving about them, especially the sauce that came with them. I had the pork chop with a potato and mushroom au gratin and it was fantastic too. Service was impeccable. Another solid hit for Queenie's."

  • "This is a great Tim Love venture with a great bar and good food. Service is fabulous. Denton is lucky to have Queenies!!"

  • "Decadent buffet.....lovely menue....perfect dessert choice.....just enough.....delicious!"

  • "Queenies is a great addition to Denton with the exception of price. A bit overpriced for both the quality of execution with their meals as well as the ambiance/location. 3 forks prices but not nearly as good in either category and with less selection. Portions are decent size though, so splitting a meal makes it more reasonable so long as you can agree on one main course. Desserts were great but cobbler was very small. Definitely recommend the donuts, they were great. Get them with ice cream! Overall, we will be back but only occasionally."

  • "The food was exceptional; such a range of flavors in the appetizers, second courses, and steak. Some say Queenie's is overpriced. It is expensive, depending on what you order, but it is well worth the price."

  • "Whole. Smoked. Salmon. Covered in diamonds of cream cheese, caviar, red onions and chives, people! You can't argue with that. Glorious. Of course they have bagel bits to go with. As well as fruit, gluten free fried potatoes, salads, pasties etc. And you get to pick a main to go with all this. Folks, you want to try this."

  • "Sunday brunch is outstanding. Complimentary valet parking. Food is innovative and fabulous. Brunch includes champagne & dessert. Service for brunch and lunch was excellent and food is amazing. Not your grandma's home cooking; many unusual dishes; but also several standard items. A great mix on the menu."

  • "As fans of all of Tim Love's restaurants we had high hopes going in. All of our issues were with the food. Service was good. Our steaks were very good and the Bucatini was excellent but thats where it ended. The lamb shoulder was inedible, the "shareable" sides were more liek single serving and very average at best. We were there for over 3 hours which seemed excessive to us for no more than we ordred and the price tag seemed a bit much for Denton. I would suggest skipping Queenie's and go to Lonesome Dove Bistro instead. Similar menu but much better execution for the same price."

  • "The food would have been great if my $60 steak wasn't burned on one side. Also don't get the crispy potatoes, they are over deep fried. The cocktails were good though."

  • "This will never be a quality restaurant when the waiter serves men before women, and the quality of the food comes into question (oysters and lamb not good), Honestly have had better food at chain restaurants. On the plus side, after a complaint from us...the server was gracious and we felt like she really cared. The salads were good, the donuts for dessert were good. Both solid, but nothing overly special."

  • "Queenies was new to us and was a totally different dining experience than we have ever had. The building is a quaint size and the decor is beautiful. From the excellent valet service to the wonderful wait staff, everyone inside made the night a truly memorable one. Drinks: I had a side car, my husband had a mint julip and a tom collins and they packed a punch! Appetizers: the house made sausage with mustard and pickles, iberico ham, and foie gras on toast with onion, all were truly excellent. Salad: Wedge, completely delicious. Dinner: I had the whole lobster and my husband had the Dry Age Kansas City Strip, both were cooked perfectly and presentation was beautiful. Dessert: Donut holes with dipping sauce and creme brulee, wonderful"

  • "From the atmosphere to the wonderful food and wine.....this is a great place to celebrate a special occasion. Loved the wagyu beef and truffled mac and cheese!"

  • "Our son is attending UNT and we live in the DC area. It always amazed me how hard it is to find a proper steakhouse in Texas of all places - especially tough in Denton. There are some gems in Dallas, but Denton was a wasteland (until Queenies). My son and I shared the tomahawk Ribeye (22oz AFTER they remove the bone!). It was perfect. The menu was simple - as all steakhouse menus should be - yet there were some unique items that we really enjoyed. The wine list was tight and there were quite a few thoughtful choices that the somm had included to keep things interesting. All and all, it was a great evening. Oh, and the bartender makes a mean Manhattan! The pricing (steep) reflected nonexistent local competition. Yet, I'm sure we'll return."

  • "Maybe I am country, but i was very dissatisified with the way food was brought out, for the prices could have been better."

  • "The food was vert good. And waitress did a very good job explaining everything to us as it was our first time. It is very pricey though & for couples with families and such probably too expensive for a date night but for special occasion. As we our empty nesters we enjoy going out to finer restaurants now more frequently."

  • "Set menu on Valentines Day too limited and food was average. Not special at all for the set price. Cocktail mostly water. Presentation totally dull."
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "Every course of the meal was simply outstanding. The flavors that Tim Love and his staff have created with each of the meals is second to none. This is not a restaraunt for a quiet romantic dinner due to the noice level however our party of 4 had a wonderful experience!"

  • "Wrong wine. Steak overcooked. Automatic tip on fixed pri e menu for party of 2."

  • "Best Steakhouse in Denton...... Cool atmosphere and really good food! Mixed drinks were outstanding and beer is ice cold!!"
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "In spite of our reservations for a special dinner, our table was in a stark white tent on the patio with no ambiance and a winter chill. Perhaps a rug over the concrete and few plants could have made it have some appeal or warmth. Although some of the courses were good, we found some disappointing in the set 5 course menu. The scallop and shrimp first course was tasty. The salads fair. The truffle potato side served with the tenderloin was overcooked and had no truffle flavor at all, and the beans served with the flavorless fish were not fully cooked. The dessert also lacked appeal. Overall disappointing for us all especially considering the price."

  • "The food at Queenie's was fine, but not memorable. We dined there on Valentine's evening and chose the three-course meal rather than the five. The salad and entree (lamb for my husband; halibut for me) was fine, but not outstanding. Dessert was a tiny piece of chocolate cheesecake served alongside a tiny macaron. For a $60 per person meal, I expected a more inventive dessert and a portion that was more than a couple of bites. Service was perfunctory and rushed; the guy who took up our plates after the meal sloshed a couple of white beans from my plate onto the table-cloth and either didn't notice or didn't care. The waiter brought the check before we finished dessert. Not a top-notch experience at all."

  • "Our disappoint was in the restaurant policies not the food. Even with reservations, they tried to sit us in a tent that was added on for the evening. We knew there was a special menu with a 3 course or 5 course offering. Our guest and my wife chose the 3 course and I chose the 5 course. The waiter explained we all had to have the same course to keep consistence in the table service. My wife’s respond “you have to be kidding”, he was not. We all settle for the 3 course, the dinner was wonderful. Now we receive the bill, there were 3 of use and the bill had a 15% gratuity added with an additional gratuity line. My normal tip is 20% with additional added for the exceptional waiters. Not tonight, and at this point we do not plan to return."

  • "Overall the dishes from the 5 course Valentines Day dinner was delicious. The initial platter was good, I am not a fan of what they offered, but I was a good sport and ate it for my boyfriend. He really enjoyed it! The soup was good, we just thought it needed to be a little warmer. The chef's surprise was really good, they did a good job with that. It was this deep fried duck sausage dish and it was amazing! My boyfriend got the lamb chops and I got the beef tenderloin. Both were absolutely delicious. Dessert was good, only true issue was the chocolate dessert we got, neither one of us liked it. The wine jello took a minute to have flavor, but it was amazing. The macaron were good as well. Overall a great job. I would go again!"

  • "Enjoyed our anniversary dinner with no complaints!! The staff was outstanding and our waiter was very informative on the history and our menu options. Everything we dined on including the wine and dessert were fabulous! We will definitely recommend Queenie's and will be back for more :)"

  • "We were super excited to visit the latest Tim Love restaurant. As a couple who enjoy Lonesome Dove in the Stockyards of Fort Worth, we expected the same high quality. It just wasn't there - it was overpriced for average food. A disappointment for our expecttion"

  • "We really enjoyed our second visit to Queenie's. The service was attentive, the appetizers were delicious and imaginative, the main courses, and side dishes or superb. Delightful meal and ambience."

  • "Food was ok, not great. The kitchen couldn't keep up with the orders. Long wait between salad and main entree. One steak was cooked perfectly, the other not so good. When it's cold outside, a heater sure would have been nice for customers and the frozen valet guy."

  • "Wonderful atmosphere and very comfortable surroundings with outstanding food served in a pleasant atmosphere. Waitstaff attentive but very respectful of when to be so. Some unusual items on the menu. The sazaracs are to die for just like New Orleans but better! The price is worth the quality."

  • "Tim Love has created another great restaurant. This was our second time and we have now established some of our favorite plates. For the first course, we love the Quail Legs, and the Lobster Cakes are good as well. For the second course, I highly recommend the Gnocchi! The Bucatini is good as well, but you have to be patient to eat it (it's difficult to wrap the large, springy noodles around a fork and the sausage crumbles when pierced with a fork). For the main course, I had the Sliced Tenderloin special which exceeded my expectations! My wife had the Chile Relleno. It was very good, just not as good as the same entree at Lonesome Dove (another Time Love restaurant). Ask for Taylor or Jake, they are both great!"

  • "Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Great food, great wine, great service, easy parking, NO CHILDREN RUNNING AROUND THE DINING ROOM, CRYING OR BEING A DISTRACTION! Not at all inexpensive, but totally worth the cost. We did not expect to find a restaurant like this in a small town like Denton. Fine dining without the dress code. We'll definitely be back!"

  • "The BEST restaurant in Denton by far and could be in Dallas and be packed to get into. Great service, small, intimate setting and delicious food. One of the best steaks I have and I've had a lot of steak at very well known steakhouses. Only opportunity is to offer a steak in a smaller portion size."
    Dined on 1/8/2014
  • "If your a black peppercorn steak person then this is the place for you. All the steaks have a load of peppercorn on them. The lamb is really good as well. The sides are a little to be desired. No creamed corn which is a no no for a steak house, but the yukon puree makes up for it. Be ready to drop some cash it is expensive."
