Diner Reviews
  • "The brunch on the Queen Mary was amazing! The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. It was a really unique experience to dine on the Queen Mary as well."

  • "Wonderful food, I like the poached salmon and king crab legs (cracked) the dessert crepes and omelets. The harpist played beautifully and the atmosphere was great . We purchased to entry picture and they are a great memento (30 for 3 backgrounds and Queen Mary souvenir. We walked the whole ship and shopped in a few shops. I felt as if we were transported back into time. Note: note for the particularly fussy foodies. The service is non stop !!"

  • "Food is really average to not good, but the harpist is great and that's the value of the lunch. The atmosphere is ok as well, with families and kids, but I would not go for the food, sorry..."

  • "The quality of food was outstanding. We will definitely be coming again! I really enjoyed mimosas and the variety of foods. The staff was very attentive and on point. Enjoyed the soothing music from the musician. She played the harp with such grace that it was relaxing. Definitely very romantic!"

  • "The Queen Mary is a wonderful Sunday Brunch venue. Good food, good atmosphere, and our service experience was excellent. This is a wonderful place to take out of town visitors."
    Dined on 7/20/2014
  • "The selections for the omelet bar were limited - no spinach or bacon! The avocado dip was thinned out with sour cream which made it tasteless. The shrimp was not like it use to be - fresh with tails on it. Service was good!!"

  • "We have been to this brunch several times before this and we keep coming back because of the quality of the food. We weren't disappointed this time either. There was a good selection of items. My favorite is the fresh shrimp and crab legs, but the prime rib was melt-in-your-mouth good too. We will definitely come back again."

  • "We enjoyed the brunch experience at the Queen Mary. We especially appreciated the harp playing gently in the background. We were able to chat and be heard by each other. The food was also very good, although we were not able to eat as much as was offered because we could only eat just so much. We did stay for over two hours and grazed slowly in order to try as much as possible. The staff was very attentive and did a good job. The only criticism I would have was the the orange juice was not cold. It was room temperature. Otherwise everything was very good."

  • "I don't happy with the table I request special table beacause I celebrate my anniversary I give the terrible table I call the day before to the restaurant to do the request"

  • "Our experience at Champagne Sunday Brunch was excellent! The Grand Salon is three stories tall, and when you walk in, you are struck by how elegant the room feels. It makes you feel just like you were on the Queen Mary during her sailing days. There is even a harp player to brighten the atmosphere. The food is wonderful, and set up buffet style. I had a shrimp omelet, prepared to perfection, salmon serpentine, also tasty, and a French Crepe, perfect for finishing off the meal. They also have Italian, Mexican, and Asian food, so there will be something for everyone. The waiters are very friendly, and usually they will meet your needs quickly. It is great to tour the ship afterwards, and walk off the big meal."

  • "Although the harpist was very good, we were too close to her, which made the noise level difficult to hear our table companions speaking."

  • "I have been to the Queen Mary brunch many times over the years. Things were always really good but now it seems even better. Lots of added food options and the quality is really top notch. Prime Rib was GREAT! Love that they have a "kids" section with pizza, chicken fingers and grilled cheese! Service was attentive and friendly from the entire staff, from the hostess to the waiters, busboys, omelet maker!"

  • "A once in a lifetime experience but suitable to go often if you wanted to! Fabulous food, great service and the champagne flowed! Amazing experience and one we would recommend."

  • "The atmosphere is great - you have a view of the water, there is a wonderful harpist playing, and the room itself is pretty. The dishes they serve are the dishes they actually served on the Queen Mary when it was a working ship. The champagne is constantly flowing and the food is delicious! Great experience."

  • "Enjoyed the food and the whole ambient. Having a lady playing the Harp gave a old time cruise line feel. Very cool"

  • "There was a variety of food, full of some hits and misses. They did not seem organized upon check in. The bus boys seems very busy but polite. When finished, we sat for some time unsure how to pay and not able to get anyone's attention. We exited and then re-entered the Lobby to inquire. They found our bill and we paid. Think buffet should not be coupled with the self tour, we didn't end up doing it...and the food not worth $50 per."

  • "Very good service the food was tasty it was a little noisy but expected in a large ballroom."

  • "First, if I had known about the festival, I would not have come up.We were sent in circles because the guys directing traffic assumed that we were all there for the festival. Once we got into the Queen Mary parking lot, we had park for "valet" service. My mother who has a bad knee had to walk rather far on a hot day. The entrance was chaotic with all the people checking out and other people coming in for the tour or the restaurant. Once we got upstairs, the manager asked if we had valet. When we expressed our displeasure about the parking situation, he said oh the festival is only once a year. We were there sat at a table with out silverware. We got up and moved ourselves. We kept having to flag down servers for drinks ( juice, water)."

  • "This place is overrated... I took my family for Father's Day.. For the price, the service and food was just fair. The buffet tables were not clean, rather messy and I had to keep requesting for them bring out food because the tables were empty. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this resturant to anyone.."

  • "A 12:30pm arrival for Fathers a Day brunch seemed like a reasonable time to arrive and hopefully still enjoy their food selection for $50 per person...WRONG! Long wait lines standing around empty food bins that REMAINED EMPTY after 10 or so minutes standing around like sheeple! My favorite section is the Asian with fried rice and chow mein etc., went up several times throughout our hour plus brunch and even though the station had a meat carver in that area, the chow mein and rice WAS NEVER FILLED! It was hot, dried out scraps of what was there HOURS before. We made the almost two hour drive from Menifee to Long Beach and it wasn't worth it. Friendly OVERWORKED wait staff gets 4 stars, NOT the brunch!!"

  • "Very disappointed with the food that was offered it was all cold."

  • "This was our first visit, with some trepidation, after reading some reviews. However we arrived about fifteen minutes early and shown straight to our table. The food was excellent, hot and all available. Service was great with the table cleared regularly and drinks replenished frequently. Ambience was good, although slightly noisy at times, which drowned out the harpist."

  • "There is more food here than one can possibly eat - or even try it all! It is very good, but not "out of this world". The prime rib was lovely, as were several of the other dishes. Unfortunately I never found the potatoes or veggies that might have accompanied it. In fact there were so many food choices that I might have just missed them. The others in my party enjoyed the omelets, but our overall consensus was that the experience wasn't worth the high price. The brunch only came with champagne - no non-drink alternative which would have been the preference of most of my group. And the crowd was enormous causing waits in line, high noise level, and general confusion. Still, the Queen Mary is an experience - better for tea or lunch though."

  • "What is an omelet without spinach? I shouldn't have to get spinach from another station and and hand carry it for them to add it in my omelet, not for that amount of money. Always carefully think things out! Ask yourself what would I like in my omelet? I know you profit enough money to provide spinach at the omelet station, don't you? Other than that it was an amazing day! As always, thank you"

  • "Thank you to Jesus who was an excellent server! We love going to the Queen Mary for brunch. The lady who plays the harp has been there for years and is amazing to listen to, it really makes the ambience! I would leave the little kids at home, though."

  • "I appreciated the fact that the dessert portions were so tiny. In brunches I've attended at other restaurants this isn't always the case. The dessert was somewhat of a highlight of this particular brunch, and tiny portions means you can taste more. As far as entrees / sides were concerned, there was plenty of food, and it was good, but nothing I would characterize as out of the ordinary."

  • "The variety and presentation of the food was amazing. It was scenic and wonderful to see the old ship. Our biggest complaint was that some of the food was amazing and some of it was terrible. There was no consistency."
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "Not worth the $50/person price. Food not fresh, tastes like frozen meals. Too bad, because the service in perfect. It's hard to stomach that they claim to have an executive chef."

  • "I was looking for a good place for a Sunday Brunch. I had read reviews for the Queen Mary and decided to give it a try. The ship is pretty cool but the food is something that needs some work. I felt like I was at a cheap buffet restaurant. The crab was so water logged and partially frozen, the salmon tasted like mush. the eggs beni was good but had been sitting for quit awhile. the scrambled eggs tasted like fake eggs with no flavor. the cheese and fruit were pretty darn good but how can you mess that up? I went back for more Brie and it was all gone and was never replenished. All the meat ie bacon, sausage, roast beef were very good. For 50.00 I will try someplace else for the food. I would pay for a tour of the ship though."

  • "Dining in the original 1st class dining room takes one back to the art deco splendor and nostalgia from the hey days of this old ship. The champagne never stopped flowing and the food was delicious. There were so many choices in the international buffet menu. The service was great. Our servers were diligent and checked on our group frequently, making sure our glasses were never empty and our plates were moved out of the way to make room for more. There was a peaceful serenity of a harpist's music playing throughout."

  • "We have gone to the Queen Mary several times during the past 20 years and this time I was very disappointed. Just didn't have the quality of food or drink as in the past."

  • "It was a lovely brunch. The moment we entered, the staff was charming, warm, and very welcoming. It smelled delicious and out table staff was very prompt. They offered a wide variety. Traditional breakfast foods such as omelet, sausage, eggs, hash browns, waffles, etc. There was a carving station with ham, turkey, and roast beef. Shrimp, salmon, sushi rolls, a section of Mexican offerings, and a selection of hot Asian foods. There was a salad bar with a cheese plate and of course, the dessert table. I loved the fact that everything was in small portions so that I could sample several things without feeling like I was wasting food."

  • "The brunch on the Queen Mary is one of the best we have ever enjoyed. The food selection was excellent as well as the quality, preparation and service. Other champagne brunches normally serve very sweet inexpensive champagne and very little of it at that. I do not know which winery bottles the champagne for them however it is very good and they are more than generous. The service staff was extremely attentive and fun. We took my elderly parents for brunch and the staff took care of them with kindness and understanding. My father said afterward that he has had brunch many times in the past 84 years however the Queen Mary brunch was the finest one of them all."
