We stayed aboard the Queen Mary and had birthday brunch here on the day we were departing. As expected it is an elaborate affair, we went later (1pm) to avoid the rush. The brunch is in a huge, beautiful salon. The endless champagne and OJ were great, our servers were really sweet. The best food options for us were the Mexican/taco section and the breakfast food. We are not big on seafood so that was a big missed section and some of the desserts sadly did not taste as good as they looked but the made to order omelettes were fabulous! Its a lot of money and I don't think its possible to eat that much (we didn't eat at all before coming but were stuffed quickly) so its not worth it for the food but for the champagne and the atmosphere yes!

I expected a brunch similar to the Ritz Carlton. I hoped the dining room would have been more grand but it was very casual and much like a cafeteria with white table cloths. The staff presence was spotty and very slow. A cup of coffee took forever and a refill was impossible. For the champagne drinkers at the table, they were given a top off 5 minutes after the first pour, and never saw another drop. We stacked our plates at the end of the table to get them removed, often with a back up. The food was the saving grace. With plenty of good options, all the food trays full and steamy, there were no complaints from the table. Salad bar and fruit options were sadly lacking and the desserts were the biggest disappointment of the day.

For a group of 4 ladies celebrating a special birthday, this was the perfect spot. The other 3 had never been to the brunch and were very impressed by the presentation and selection of all the foods. All servers were attentive and helpful. It was a "PERFECT CELEBRATION".

The attraction is dining on The Queen Mary; not the Sunday Brunch. Hot foods were mostly cool. Cold foods such as crab and shrimp were slow in replenishing. Most servers and cooks could not or barely speak English. Nice variety of foods but mostly aimed towards Mexican and Chinese foods. Parking cost is outrageous even with a validation stamp. For the money, I'll stick with Sunday Brunch at The Reef.

I would only recommend it for a special occasion and the ambiance of being on the Queen Mary. The food is average and over priced. The only thing the champagne is delicious and free flowing. Our champagne waiter was fabulous. Great mimosas! The staff need to drink a few mimosas and get HAPPY! We thought we had a good table waiter until he began to discuss his tip and the way people don't give enough. And discussed his disappointment about his own people from his country. Then to top it off he had the same conversation with the table next to us. And finally he argued, gave attitude to my son while paying the bill. The staff needs to get HAPPY! From the arrival to the departure. I would not return, for the price not worth it.

The Sunday brunch was delicious and a lovely setting with a great waiter and waitresses, It was our 55 Anniversary so was special to eat and sleep on the Queen Mary. We played Bridge a couple of times on the Q.M. but were unable to get into the restaurants for dinner as there was a long wait. We live in Huntington Beach so it was about time we spent some time on the ship. The bad thing was that we parked under a tree and the ants invaded our car - at least a thousand. But we had a wonderful time.

Was disappointed in the food. Not very tasty, especially the shrimp. Shrimp was defrosted, limp and tasteless. Service was weak at best. Had to track down waiter for coffee refill, water, clear dishes off table. Worth a try, but I won't be returning.

The experience was well worth the price. A great selection of food and pastries, something for everyone's palette. The waiters were constantly filling our glasses with champagne, luckily I was not driving. We had time to explore the ship and visit the shops. The renovation of the dining area was incredible and would highly recommend this as a tourist attraction for anyone visiting the Long Beach area.

The Sunday Brunch aboard the Queen Mary was outstanding, all except the desserts. I sampled maybe eight of the dozen plus desserts, and all but a few were disappointing for a high caliber brunch. They were either too sweet, filling was not made with real whipped cream, or just didn't taste fresh and delicious. I suggest that a new dessert menu be created or a new pastry chef be hired, or both.

This was our first time for brunch at the Queen Mary. It was little hectic getting in to say the least. Jazz festival, cruise ship, Princess Diana's jewels and the like added to the mass of people and traffic. Once inside the room the old world charm at every corner took your breath away. The harp player was a treat to listen to. A quick trip of the brunch tables to view the selections and we were ready to settle down for a great afternoon. The selection of food was excellent. Something for every taste and I made my way through breakfast lunch and dinner. Delicious !!! Service was friendly and fast. We completed our afternoon sipping cocktails at the bar. It was a little pricey compared to other brunches around town but truly enjoyable.

Our Queen Mary brunch was the perfect way to celebrate our wedding anniversary with friends. We were pleasantly surprised by the ease of parking and getting to the dining room where we were warmly welcomed and seated. Our waiter was fabulous and made us feel very comfortable always noticing when a plate needed to be removed and making sure our drinks were full. He even offered to take our picture and was happy to do so. The many choices of food were beautifully displayed and very tasty! Everything we needed for a delightful brunch was provided in this historical setting. It was busy but we felt like we were well taken care of. The music was just right and the ambiance perfect !

Just was hoping for service and food to match the grand setting. Wanted my Queen lady to feel special at $50 per. Food and service were similar to a Las Vegas buffet. Not bad just not above average. The cheese platter was typical...several selections of cheese, none tasted special, and at some point someone dropped a crab leg on the cheese display and it was still there an hour later. And the crab legs were small and average too. My Queen was let down a bit.

The Pasta dishes I think could have been flavored just a bit more but nothing that a shake of salt couldn't fix. The Asian section here got my signature 'Mmmmm"!! All were absolutely delicious and get a solid "A". The Mexican section had some Chicken Mole and Chile Relleno that was absolutely delicious. The usual Breakfast stuff was good and the eggs benedict was surprisingly good; nice hollandaise sauce, perfectly poached egg, tasty Canadian beacon, over all it's a "A-" The Waffles: The good news is - they are absolutely delicious as well as the syrup - BUT a waffle is one thing that can't sit under a heat lamp. This needs to be MADE TO ORDER and the syrup needs to be on the warm side not the cool side, but they get a " B " over all.

We came here after a suggestion from my sister, who enjoys coming here when she is in town. We enjoyed ourselves very much. The food was wonderful. I just wish there were more chocolate desserts. But I am a chocolate lover. A bit crazy to find out where to go since there were so many things going on, including a wedding show. But once at the correct location the rest of what was going on was forgotten. Parking was confusing. The sign said you would get $3 off with proof of restaurant visit. When asking the parking attendant he said parking was only free for the first 3 hours. We had only been there for 2 hours and then were charged for the full price. Didn't understand that. But that doesn't take away from the great brunch!

As always, the Queen Mary exceeded our expectations!! (You'd think we'd raise our expectations!!) What a wonderful ship with a magnificent brunch, free flowing champagne, friendly staff, great harp playing. What a great atmosphere, I always touch the walls & think of all the people who knew this ship in her heyday. It's a little spiritual. The QM does great at displaying time period items that make it all the more romantic. My only complaint, & it's more of just a warning, the3 hour validation ($7) ends promptly at 3 hours, then it's the daily parking rate ($15). I love to spend as much time on board as possible, they sure don't rush you out of the brunch! :)

The Queen Mary is outstanding on the selections of food offered for their Sunday Champagne Brunch. It is a great place to take someone for a special Birthday or Anniversary Celebration as well as Mothers Day and Fathers Day. They start you off with a glass of orange juice and a glass of champagne right away and then you go and can pick from a wide variety of different food tables. The service is great and the champagne refills and orange juice refills are plentiful. A definate must if you have never been and a certain do again treat if you have.
