  • "Finally, amazing pizza in the west end of TO. A little loud, so don't expect anything different. Think The Nose in the east end. Same idea. Try the kale pizza. So good."

  • "My sister and I have been dying to try Queen Margherita Pizza for a long time and last Saturday we took our Dad and his fiancé there for dinner. Our server Justin greeted us with a smile, welcomed us to the restaurant, answered any questions and made some personal recommendations about the new menu. We ordered all the crostini options except the trout. I was the only person at the table interested in the lardo crostini and I wish I'd ordered 10 (then ran a marathon to burn off the calories). Absolutely delicious. We then enjoyed the pizza and once again the food surpassed our expectations. The service was impeccable and so was the food. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "Showed up on time and my reservation was ready. Wayne our server was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and not afraid to make recommendations. There were lots of options plus changes were accepted and encouraged. Lots of options for non pizza eaters but pizza was yummy and fast to the table. Some desserts for sharing. No rushing us out. Was a great night out with the girls!"

  • "We've been going to this place since it opened since we enjoyed the other location. Always loved the pizza till this time around. The menu changed and when asked what happen we heard they got a new chef. Better quality produce and better flavour supposedly. Well we were extremely disappointed starting with the dough it just didn't seem like it used to and the pizza was very bland. The price is up a lot. The menu has ridiculous new names like the Dominator. Disappointed is all I can say"

  • "My pizza (the one with olives) was delightful, with a bit of heat. Our waitress suggested a house Chardonnay which was only $2 over cost - a great deal and tasty. My only criticisms are that the tables are so close and the surfaces hard, so it is very noisy and crowded feeling. I could barely hear my friend speaking and we had to lean over the table and practically shout t be heard. Also that they are no gluten-free choices and very few offerings other than pizza. If you are not a wheat pizza lover, you have to go somewhere else. I also like that we can walk to the restaurant. There are very few nice choices in the Baby Point area so that generally forces us to go to Roncesvelles or Bloor."

  • "What's inspired QMP's menu overhaul? As an avid/local customer, a 5/5 for QMP is now a 2 :( QMP's strength WAS it's authenticity to true Napoletana pizza, from the chewy crust to traditional toppings. Now, kale? Green olive? Sunflower seeds? Leek? Walnuts? Play with these creations in appetizers. They've lost the way trying to be a trendy downtown-y spot? Menu sections called Snacks, Market, Kitchen? Worse still the self-indulgent pizza names (Tominator, Birdman, JJ Wellington, Chetts, Ash Wednesday??). Reads like a pizza section of a sports bar! Point of using D.O.P ingredients & tipo "00" flour w/ such names/toppings? It's back to Danforth, Ossington, Leslieville for great pizza. Authentic & trendy can marry, but QMP BWV has gone too far."

  • "I've been wanting to go to Queen Marguarita Pizza for some time after having seen the list of all best pizza places in Toronto. The reality is that their food is fantastic! I liked it more than libretto pizza not only for product but for location (only 5mins from my house). The parking was free and that's always a plus. Would definitely recommend anyone to give it a try...I certainly would go back."

  • "A bustling Thursday night at QM was a nice setting to get together with friends over some stoned fired pizza. The service was prompt, attentive and engaging and the new take on appetizers was refreshing. Great changes and the pizza remained very good. The work put into making changes has paid off..."

  • "Preferred the old menu that had more tasty options. My cod and potato soup was bland. Caesar salad had a weird bitter taste to it, like the garlic used was burnt or something. Pizza was still tasty but took awhile to arrive."

  • "The restaurant has a very cool atmosphere and ambience. There were 6 of us who went to celebrate a friend's dinner. When the waitress took our drink order, I just said I would have a water, and she asked if I'd like her to bring a bottle to the table, thinking she would bring a jug or something for the table of tapwater. Instead it was a $6 bottle of spring water... definitely wasn't impressed with that when I got the bill. My boyfriend and I ordered bruschetta to start, and for $7 we were very unimpressed with the 2 pieces we received. Normally when you order bruschetta, it comes with 4-6 pieces, especially for $7!! The pizzas were very good.. I especially love the chili oil. It was a nice restaurant and the food was tasty.. too $$$"

  • "I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for dining. I would recommend that people get take out pizza but I found the dining experience very disappointing. The wine list was very limited and the selections were poor. We sent back our first choice as it definitely didn't taste right. I ordered a "winter greens" salad which was recommended as the best choice and it consisted of iceberg lettuce and 5 slices of a radish. So the pizza is very good, everything else not so at all. Our waitress was also not that attentive and clearly didn't care. Stick to take out here."

  • "As my friend was running late, I called the restaurant to tell them that we were going to be late and was told on the phone, no problem at all and thank you so much for calling. When I arrived at the restaurant 25 minutes after my initial reservation, the first thing the hostess said to us was "you're very late". I explained that I had called and she was extremely rude and said that they only hold reservations for 15 minutes (which was not explained to me on the phone). The extremely rude and unprofessional hostess gave me a very bad first impression of the restaurant. So unfortunately, although the pizza was good (but overpriced), I will not be rushing back."

  • "I've been to this location once before and really enjoyed my experince. My second recent visit was a bit of a disappointment. Queen Margherita Pizza - Jane recently changed their menu and I did not like the changes. The pizza was good as usual but I thought some of their other dishes were not as good and overpriced for what you get. We ordered a risotto dish that was way overpriced in my opinion for the size of the dish. I hope they change their menu again soon - if they do we will probably try it out again."

  • "We enjoyed our dinner...... Marguarita pizza. The crust on each on each on each of our pizza was burnt in places though. The staff was great... very friendly."

  • "The pizzas were super salty. Dough and toppings. When we ate here back in January 2014 the food was amazing. I think we will be giving this restaurant a break for a while."

  • "Pizzas themselves were tasty, especially the toppings. Crust was slightly too chewy for my taste, but still delicious. So they got the most important part right. But too expensive - one pizza for $20? It was enough to satisfy me, one hungry full grown man. I would have left feeling I got value if it had been in the range of $15. The ceasar salad was ridiculous - $10 for eight leaves of Romaine with some grated cheese and roasted bread crumbs? Maybe we're getting out of touch. Ambiance left something to be desired. The entryway is still very institutional and not welcoming. I would rather have been unable to see the kitchen. Service was uninspired. A little more pep would have been appreciated. Overstaffed the night we went (Monday)."

  • "Had "date night" at QMP on Jane and had a great time. Service was very good...attentive and knowledgeable but not "in your face" the whole night. The menu at QMP specializes in Pizzas but also offers good options for sharing salads, appetizers, etc. They had recently changed their menu and we shared a few items, all of which were delicious. The wine list, while small, offers a good selection of italian reds and whites by the glass. The pizza, of course, was a standout and on the table of most of the diners in the restaurant. This is a good neighborhood spot and offers a great vibe. Would recommend for groups, families and couples alike."

  • "Not a fan of the new menu! They are apparently trying to more "eclectic" and go outside the "traditional" Italian pizzeria style and I am disappointed. They have the traditional "Margherita" pizza, obviously, but why can't I get a Diavolo? There was a definite lack of pizzas for meat lovers!"

  • "This resto has gone from very good to excellent since they changed their menu. Pizza crust is cooked to a better texture and the combinations are more interesting. The Giovanna is delicious! The servers are very helpful with making choices and service is well-timed. We are pleased to live around the corner so we can go back frequently. You definitely need a reservation if you want to go from 6:00 to 8:00 on a weekend."

  • "This is a laid-back friendly restaurant. Kid-friendly with EXCELLENT service. Sadly the food is bland, some of it arrives cold (when it's not supposed to). Nothing really great about it at all. Don't order anything besides pizza and even then, select carefully. You can go really wrong, really easily. We ordered five entrees, and full appetizers. The only items that were decent were the spicy involto and the cheeky something pizza. Everyone else left mildly disappointed, even the one who ordered the special ( sea bass on fennel) . This is my second visit. Had the same experience both times."

  • "This was not the first time they brought me lukewarm pizza but it'll be the last. The pizza is decent but if it's going to be served lukewarm at this price I will go somewhere else. They also stopped serving the delicious complementary ciabatta bread which was actually a selling feature to come here, not anymore."

  • "We came here for a girls birthday and enjoyed the pizza. Love that you can order gluten-free pizza crust but apparently you need to call in advance. Would be great to see that written on the website pretty obviously so we would know for next time."

  • "They changed the menu to offer a wider selection of non-pizza items. None of it was kid-friendly in nature. Given the amount of filies in the neighbourhood, would be good to offer some kid-friendly items. The pizzas were great as always but the appetitizers were disappointing. Next time we go, we'd forgo the starters and head straight for the pizza."

  • "In a Pizzeria or a Trattoria, you don't get the fancy looking place, menu , in most cases tablecloths and fancy napkins, the menus should be really simple not as expensive as a fine restaurant, and most of all food portions should be generous. At Queen Margherita Pizza, we ordered two risotto with zucca, to my surprise, it was served in huge plates that hardly fitted the table with a couple of tablespoons of risotto in the centre, for $24.00 for the two dishes I really think that it was way overpriced for a PIZZERIA. Joe"

  • "The first thing I loved was the space. High ceilings, open concept. Great view of the pizza oven. The second thing to love about this place is the exceptional service. The staff seem to really enjoy working there and are attentive and very knowledgeable towards the menu. The food though! So good. If the venue was bad and the service was sub par, I would totally go back just for that dough. The apps and dessert were great too."

  • "Been here many times before on a regular night and decided to give the valentines day special a shot. Never once felt rushed and the selection was far beyond any fixed price menu I've ever seen. 10/10 would return for a special ocassion night."

  • "We were frequent diners prior to the entire menu change. Dined there Feb7/2014 totally surprised and most of all very disappointed. Firstly, yes the menu is simple but complicated . The foreign language description on most selections had us guessing. All the items we loved were gone from appetizers to pizzas. The pizzas (not many too choose from) all except margherita were just too sophisticated with raisins ,nuts. Even the little bread that was free is gone now they charge for bread. Lastly the fabulous tiramisu is now smaller in a tiny cup. Very disappointed and won't be back"

  • "We all preferred the old menu to the new menu. We appreciate that we can still get the old pizzas, but why name a new one so similar to the old Giovanni? They brought us the wrong one. We especially miss the old caesar salad and all the yummy appies. It's just not the same and I will not be craving this restaurant like I used to....which is so disappointing."

  • "We've been coming to QMP on Jane 2-3 times/month since it opened. We understood there was a new chef. When we arrived today we saw the new menu. It was like going to a whole new restaurant. We decided to embrace it as such, and enjoyed everything we tried. However, at just under $20/pizza, this is no longer a regular family Friday night option. $180 for our family of two adults/two children was a bit crazy. Love the location, staff and food, but the new menu has been priced out of our snack bracket for the neighbourhood. Too bad! Also, sad to see the end of the fabulous budino, replaced with deep fried dough."

  • "QMP has become our kitchen away from home. Our girls love this place and we love the friendly staff. But, I have to say I'm a bit disappointed in the new menu. First off - no bread was provided to us prior to ordering. When I did request a basket (and charged $4) I was disappointment. Bread was dense and very doughy. Bring back the pizza pieces! The girls enjoyed their Margarita pizza like always! But, my La Scala pizza is no longer offered - I cried inside. I was suggested an alternative (the Tomator?), but it didn't come close to the sweet, spicy bite of La Scala. I guess I'll give another pizza a try next time. We didn't try any of the other new items on the menu - QMP does pizza best and it's the main reason we visit each week."

  • "Not worth the money…took over an hour for pizzas to arrive and they were nothing special. We always get a Margherita to test a new pizza place and this one was average at best. The place was loud, the servers had attitude, and it wasn't cheap. For the same money you could go to Pizzeria Libretto on Ossington, which we like a lot."
    Dined on 2/1/2014
  • "I've bee to Queen Margherita a few times in 2013 and found it a welcome addition to the west end. No more having to go to Ossingto or Queen for really good pizza. I came here w family and w friends and found the service and menu great. They seem to have changes their entire pizza menu so that we're down to 2 options that don't involve kale, nuts or other things not found on pizza. I get the "foodie" movement. What's diss appointing is the lack of interest in making "foodie" synonymous with classic food of superior and local quality. That's what i liked about QM. Back down to Ossingto. And Libretto we go..."

  • "Been here twice now. Had a decent meal but it didn't blow my mind. Shrimp/zucchini app was great. Oil on mushrooms in fungi salad tasted old. Pizza was fine, but not a whole lot of taste and was cold. Perfectly edible though. Crust was good. I'd go back for the atmosphere and because it's the only resto in the hood."

  • "38 dollars for your cheapest bottle of wine is ridiculous. We just got back from Chicago where we fell in love with an Italian eatery and they have a 24 dollar bottle on their menu. We did order the bottle at Queen Margherita but it was a special occasion. We will never order it again as it is simply insane. You should price your bottles of wine so that every table has a bottle sitting on it. It makes the dining experience so much better both for your patrons and your servers. If you want repeat business, get a 28 dollar bottle on your menu and watch how much more wine you sell."
