QuayHip atmosphere, good foodQuay was an easy walk from our Sheraton downtown hotel, towards (but not on) Navy Pier. The restaurant at the back has an elegant, upscale atmosphere and lighting. For some reason, it was quite noisy, even though there were only two other parties there and the floor is carpeted (which is usually quieter). Service was friendly and quick, the menu had good "alternate" choices of small plates, salads, starters and entrees. Nice artsy presentation for the tasty entrees, but portions are on the small side. A great cocktail for bourbon lovers: the High End Retreat (pricey at $12, though). Overall, a good choice in this area.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMSumptuous! With a great experience for your taste buds (food and cocktails are very well done), but focused on all parts of the dining experience equally, Quay exceeded my expectations. Hip and modern, but not overdone or garish, the ambience can be all things to all people; the service, however, is only for making you feel like a king or queen - come to Quay if and only if you want to have a great experience! (Entrees are a-la-carte, so make sure to get some appetizers and/or sides if you want to fill up.)5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent BrunchEnded a Bachlorette weekend in Chicago with Quay for Sunday brunch. Our group of 8 girls had received less than great service all weekend and were so relieved with the excellent experience we had at Quay. No problem getting a table right away, amazing bloody marys, OUTSTANDING food, and excellent service. The atmosphere was very chic and modern, yet the food prices were surprisingly reasonable. I can't say enough, it is my favorite restaurant in Chicago so far.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMI had a group of 13 for dinnerI had a group of 13 for dinner on a Tuesday night and we had one whole section of the dining room to ourselves. Our waiter was fantastic and helped with selections of appetizers and wines for the table. Some very good seafood selections on the menu, the moule frites were amazing with the curry broth!4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful New RestaurantFirst this restaurant is very upscale and modern. We had the five course meal. It was very good and it was a good portion of food. The food was well prepared. My spouse loved the pork belly. The trout was good but nothing special. The food is not average American fare, it upscale and freshly prepared. The house wine was good better than expected. Our server and other staff was very nice. I was surprised our toddler was welcomed and they have a kids menu. I probably would not bring kids on a weekends when it is crowded. This is a great restaurant to bring a date or for a special romantic occasion. They will validate your parking ticket if you park across the street so it will only cost you $10 to park which is great.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMA group of 7 friends wentA group of 7 friends went there after a walking tour. We were all pleasantly surprised by the niceness of the room, the quality of the food and the friendly waitstaff. A good find4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was excellent. WeThe food was excellent. Our server was very friendly & knowledgable on each dish.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMI learned about this restaurantI learned about this restaurant from a show I saw a month ago. I love going to different restaurants. I am a seafood lover. I particularly love the moule frites. I enjoyed all the food I/we ordered. Too bad that we didn't get the chance to try out the dessert because we were just full.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect for a special night outOutstanding food with great presentation and excellent wine. Definitely a place for a special occasion. The only thing that took me by surprise was the $8 bread service. Overall one of the best fine dining experiences I've had in the city.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMYummy burgers!!!Quay was a mixture of eclectic foods! We sprung for a burger! It was very well prepared and very tasty!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLove the vibe here and theLove the vibe here and the food is very good.
