A word from Quattro Restaurant and Bar - Four Seasons Hotel
The Italian word for "four", the name is in line with the architectural design of the restaurant as a large light airy room with glass on three sides. The room is lit dramatically at night and illuminates the front of the hotel entrance. Quattro features Northern Italian seasonal and light cuisine with a fresh Cal-Italian twist at breakfast and lunch. The dinner menu is comprised of contemporary Italian cuisine featuring locally grown produce and artisan products from Northern California farms since opening. Attentive, unobtrusive service compliments the exquisite menu and an extensive wine list which includes predominantly California wines with many boutique offerings and an extensive Italian selection. • "Quattro is a wonderful restaurant for any special occasion. While enjoying a glass of wine, we had the delicious kale and caesar salad with yogurt dressing, lamb chops and pork chops. It was all wonderful. Dessert was amazing. The Bombolini (Italian Donuts)which you dip in a chocolate sauce or caramel salt sauce was great. Presentation of the dishes were very creative and we had a memorable evening. Annie-Rose Chung, the general manager also made sure we were enjoying ourselves and also told us about the story of the sculptures in the restaurant of the Four Seasons."

  • "Our group got this offer from Travelzoo for a discounted dinner package. We enjoyed the fix menu choices for the nite, which included a glass of wine, appetizer, salad, pasta and choice of main course of either steak or fish. my dessert of chocolate mouse was marvelous! All of the items are prepared to perfection with awesome presentation. The service was great!!!!!! from the reception to the waiters and waitresses. Definitely will go back again with or without a discount voucher !!!!"

  • "Food is extremely mediocre and yet pretty expensive for the portion and flavor. This was for a business lunch and it was conveniently located off of 101. I paid $75 for a small beet salad, an appetizer size spaghetti bolognes dish which was supposedly the entree, espresso, and tea! The service was great and a very open and well lit atmosphere."

  • "We arrived by 7:00pm and food was served by 8:00pm by 9:30 pm we had to ask for the waiter to order desserts. We finally finished by 10:00. Very disappointing experience!! Very, very poor service!!"

  • "I've had several meals at Quattro before last night which were beautifully presented and tasted as good as they looked. Unfortunately, when I brought a friend to Quattro's featured "tasting" menu purchased on TravelZoo, the dinner was very disappointing. The food was beautifully presented, the service attentive, but the food was … at best mediocre. The kale and brussels sprout salad was an exception, but the pasta, dessert and other courses not up to the level which one would expect from a restaurant of Quattro's standing. Also, an 18.5 gratuity was automatically added onto the bill. A gentle reminder for a table of two is fine, but an automatic charge was not gracious and not well received."

  • "Excellent dinner! My husband & I used a Travelzoo voucher and were very pleased with our experience. We loved the cocktails. The food was excellent, especially the pasta with clams, the branzino, and the beef tenderloin. We plan to attend their next wine maker dinner."

  • "I had celebrated my husband's birthday with a couple of friends using travelzoo's vouchers. The food was really delicious, I especially liked the pasta with clams and the beef tenderloin. The service was outstanding. They even prepared a special desert plate for the birthday person. Highly recommended!"

  • "Quattro hit it out of the part yet again! Excellent service, amazing food, great wine list, all making our anniversary that much more special. The attentive, but not hovering wait staff is there for your every need. We love their use of seasonal ingredients and how they menu is never the same. We have never been disappointed and you won’t be either!"

  • "This has become the new favorite restaurant of our entire family, from our kids to ourselves. The atmosphere is great, the food is really good. It's a bit pricy but worth it."

  • "The food is actually 3.5 stars, not very impressive but not bad at all. We had the beef sirloin and pan fried sea bass as main course. The sirloin was okay but would be better if more juicy. Disappointed at the fried sea bass, the fish is a little over cook, I think. I have relatively high expectation going in there. The food is decent but nothing that makes me "urge" to go back. Overall, food quality is good with travel zoo's discount. The service is really great though!! I would recommend if a friend ask about this place but would not have highly recommend to friends if they don't ask....."

  • "Quattro is a favorite, mostly due to the food, but that great food is couched w/a lovely atmosphere and delivered by a Four Seasons quality team. Why go elsewhere when they've got it ALL! Also, a nice treat on a pretty day can be sitting on the patio, or if the weather isn't nice, enjoying the views from inside is also nice. If your dog is well socialized, he/she can join you on the patio."

  • "Quattro is trying very hard to be outstanding. My boyfriend and I tried the tasting menu from their TravelZoo coupon. Here's the breakdown: Prosecco - Tasty. Perfect pairing with absolutely everything we had. Appetizer - Cheese with honeycomb and almond. Good. Salad - I actually enjoyed this the most. Kale with romaine. Very good Pasta - Mediocre. Just didn't have the flavor I was hoping for. Main course - I had the Ahi Tuna with pumpkin puree. It was pretty good. Dessert - It was a huge disappointment. The sorbet was too sour unfortunately and masked the flavors of the mousse. Customer service was excellent. Very attentive. Overall, a letdown for the price. I don't know that I would come back."

  • "We celebrated our wedding anniversary with dinner at Quattro. Truly excellent. Food, ambiance, service were all superb. We have been to parties and events at Quattro, but the restaurant was never on our radar for a special dinner out. Then I came across a TravelZoo 5-course dinner discount. Not only was dinner a great value, but the whole evening was delightful. Highly recommend for a special occasion."

  • "The ambience is OK. It does not have views of anything but its own complex and garden. It does have great daylighting from big windows, but you need to be near then to make a difference. The food was interesting, but not something that ignited your palate. The chef put together interesting combinations, but some were slightly overcooked or lacking sufficient depth. The cost is also considerable for either the quality or quantity provided. The bright spot was the bar which poured excellent mixed drinks and wines. If you are going to spend $200 to $250 dollars, there are better places in the Bay Area to use your hard earned dollars."

  • "I enjoyed trying this restaurant through a Travelzoo special although I wasn't 'wowed' as I was hoping to be. The decor and service is nice. I tried the five course meal. The prosecco was good. The accompanying chef's bite was okay. I didn't like the kale and Brussels sprout Caesar salad so much, but the seeds, pumpkin (?) and pomegranate, and pickled radish on the salad was a nice touch. The vongole pasta was too salty. The 'crown of the rooster' pasta was pretty good. The beef tenderloin was pretty good with the exception of a small portion of it that seemed to be over cooked. I asked for medium rare. The milk chocolate mousse was light and pretty good. The poached pear was ok - tasted like a plain apple pie except it was pear."

  • "My husband and I were at Quattro on a Travelzoo coupon - 5 course tasting menu for 2 for $99. Upon presenting the coupon, the host smiled, "you're in for a treat!", sans coupon snobbery. The meal was perfectly timed starting with a glass of prosecco (included), a creamy cheese and and toast, a kale salad followed by a choice of pastas. The pan fried bass I chose came out just like I fantasized, crispy outside fluffy in. My husband's beef had him quoting the Matrix movie, "I eat this steak and it is juicey, succulent and tasty.." The pear poached in espresso was rich and crunchy. The meal was easily worth twice the price. Quattro made us feel relaxed and well taken care of. Truly one of the best meals we've had in a long time!"

  • "Quattro is a source of consistent and excellent food and service. The waitstaff knows the menu and engage in friendly and authentic conversation. The chef and his team make a wonderful mix of California and Italian dishes with the right texture, presentation and flavors. Friday nights are complimentary corkage which made the meal even more delightful to bring a bottle from the cellar. Even the valet parking team makes the experience better. We always have an evening that makes us want to come back and Friday's dinner continued that trend."

  • "Very convenient place to meet my mother in the Bay Area for lunch. She likes to be treated to somewhere "fancy"--Quattro is perfect because it's easy to get to from the freeway, and the parking was straightforward. This will be my new go-to place for meeting with her!"

  • "We had the Christmas Day menu. It was a mixture of quite good, and decidedly mediocre. Hence the 3-stars. My fluke sashimi was wonderful, and my wife's scallop salad was bland. My smoked rigatone would have been great if it had not had so much salt in it. My wife's gnocchi was excellent. For the main course, I had grouper, and it was dry and relatively tasteless, except for the very salty tomato sauce. My wife's turkey was tastless ("tastes like chicken, or some other non-descript white eat"). The dessert choices were unbelievably vast, just help yourself to whatever you wanted of maybe 30 different dessert choices, and as much as you could handle. Overall, fairly good, great service, and very noisy (because it is all hard surfaces)"

  • "Highly Recommended! This was our 4th year having our holiday office dinner here & it's always great! This year was no exception. Everyone loved the food, & the service was super helpful, efficient & friendly. This year we made one change: we had a room in the hotel. That meant rather than rushing in to dinner & out to your cars, we had the option to snack, sip & visit before & after, which all took advantage of. The one couple that ran late was fine as they got there before we headed off to dinner. It extended the evening and let the group bond more. Often at a big table it's hard to talk w/everyone. This allowed the spouses to mingle & bond a bit beyond the table time."

  • "This is fine for lunch or drinks...but nothing special here. The food was too salty, but the concepts were good. The apple crisp dessert was good. The service was very good...way outpaced the food. The apple crisp dessert was good. The service was very good...way outpaced the food. My friend had the rigatoni and said it was very good. So...it's totally fine if you are in the complex or hotel and need to eat, but I wouldn't go out of my way for this restaurant."

  • "Good but expensive, smallish portions on the main courses. Need a slightly bigger selection on the main menu Very noisy, hard to have a good business conversation, probaly would not come back for a business meal because of the noise. Why can't you get some soundproofing installed?"

  • "We have been regular patrons at Quattro and absolutely LOVE the service and the food. The staff goes above and beyond to make our dining experience perfect each time (especially when we go with kids). They do have a limited menu but they are pretty flexible with it and as the server will tell you - Its a very limited menu but whatever is on there is excellent :)"

  • "It was our first time at this restaurant and they went all the way out for us, it was our 6 year anniversary and they made it very special. Quiet and cozy. Probably the only thing the price for one of the dishes was extremely high for the portion we got and the appetizer was way too salty. But everything else was on par!! We would go there again, the service was amazing, that's the one thing I can say was a 5 star!!"

  • "After the server saw one of my dining companions give me a belated birthday card, he secretly arranged for the chef to create a special dessert delivered on a plate inscribed in chocolate with "Happy Belated Birthday". Now THAT is service! Excellent restaurant with over-the-top service."

  • "This title says it all. Seldom does Four Season's disappoint in its offerings. You pay a little more but it is worth the premium. Out of the way from the main drag of Palo Alto."

  • "It was a Sunday evening and quiet. I was out with a friend. The chef and waiter truly pampered us with great food and service. Their home made spaghetti and grilled octopus were fabulous, as was their branzini.I love the ambiance, yet in the past I have had somewhat mixed food experiences when going to Quattro. Not this time! Food was consistently on gourmet-level though-out the evening."

  • "As a finicky eater, used to mostly comfort foods, it is wonderful to find a restaurant that incorporates traditional food with foodie treasures. Although I was delighted with my Filet Mingon...I was pleasantly surprised by the side foods I wouldn't normally have tried. At one point, my waitress saw my half eaten soup and asked if I was done. I explained it's me...I'm finicky...I just didn't like the flavor. With an understanding smile, the soup was removed and replaced with the begining pasta I sooo loved from my opening course. Friendly staff, top quality food, great wine list. Also, it happened to be our anniversary. Our menu was personalized for the occasion and each staff member, at one time or another, wished us a happy 23rd."
