A word from Quattro at Whistler
When Quattro at Whistler opened in 1996, Fourth Avenue regulars were delighted that "their restaurant" was now open in Whistler too. Since then the appeal has broadened and Quattro at Whistler has won over critics, visitors and residents alike with its invitingly warm service, contemporary Italian cuisine and an extensive wine list, recognized by Wine Spectator as one of the world's best. The interior at Quattro at Whistler is whimsically Venetian. Two cozy fireplaces, an open kitchen and hand-painted silk chandeliers cast a warm glow over the restaurant. Rich mahogany wood, an eclectic mix of tables and a vibrantly designed floor complete the passionate look of Quattro at Whistler.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "We went and the place was super busy because of a $10 pasta special they do on Thursdays in the off season. With lots of people waiting around for table, our reservation got us seated right away. The pasta special was in incredible deal. Huge portions and great flavours. Even though the place was rammed, service was fantastic and on top of everything. Definitely will be back here next time we are in Whistler."

  • "Wish I would've paid more attention to our server's name...he was just great. Three of us shared a large pasta "sampler" which was fantastic and my husband enjoyed a succulent New York Strip. It's a little off the beaten track so we wouldn't have stumbled across it without Open Table app. It will definitely be in the itinerary on our next trip to Whistler."

  • "Our family loves Italian restaurants and this one stands out. They happily accommodated all our special requests and our kids wanted to go back the next night."

  • "Food was marginal, very family oriented .. many tables with young kids, noise level is kind of on the loud side. If you are looking for a quiet, no kids dining experience, this will not be the place for you"

  • "Good food, good flavours, wait staff was very knowledgable about dishes."

  • "Food was "OK to good", decor is tacky, service was overbearing - I was wondering whether our waiter would not pull a chair to the table and just stay the entire meal."

  • "The food was good, but not as good as the reviews promised - or the price tag for that matter. The service was fabulous and it was cozy and romantic inside. I won't go back though."

  • "We have dined at Quattro several times in the past and noted something a little off beat. The food of course is absolutely delicious but the staff can have a slight edge to them. Little comments that might not be noticeable to some if you aren't listening were quite apparent to me. They were in no way insulting, just impertinent I guess you would say. The end of the dinner was even more interesting as the manager advised us that he couldn't honour our Quattro gift card because it was purchased at Quattro in North Vancouver for use at Quattro, Whistler. He said the businesses had no connection and were totally separate. I asked him to call the North Van Quattro and the final upshot was that they accepted the card after all."

  • "Started out a bit unplanned and ended up a real success! The food and service were amazing. The Italian touch was authentic and professional. We absolutely loved it"

  • "We celebrated my birthday here whilst on holiday. The restaurant was a great change from most other eateries where there is an abundance of meat and fries! We reserved for 10 but on the day there ended up being 11 of us, this was an easy change and the server split the bill seemingly knowing who'd had what and who the couples were.great food in a relaxed environment would recommend booking in advance."

  • "We have been wanting to go here but could not over the holidays (they were booked solid). Such a nice comfortable atmosphere. Lots of wood and warm inviting ambiance. Our server was available but not pushy, gave us great recommendations on dishes and was polite. Food arrived hot and tasty. Pasta was cooked perfectly!!!! Will definitely go there again"

  • "We were a group of 5 and we let the server choose the wine and the food. He did such a great job. A great place for dinner after a long day of skiing."

  • "Dinners were loaded with garlic so much so as to be unpleasant. When waitress was asked if there were any pastas without garlic, she replied no. So I ordered a meat dish which arrived on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes, garlic kale, garlic veggies and garlic marinated meat with a garlic sauce. If you love garlic that is the place to go!"

  • "Not going to recommend this restaurant. Limited choices. For an Italian restaurant missing any of the classics."
    Dined on 2/6/2014
  • "If you want a quiet romantic meal don't come here. Food is good, atmosphere is more "Abc restaurant" than 5 star dining. Service was kind but quick and diner-style."

  • "We stayed at the Pinnacle and received a gift card to Quattro as part of our stay. It definitely wasn't work the time, or money. The service was slow, food was unimpressive and lacked seasoning and flavor, and the wine list was extremely over priced. Our server recommended a bottle that I wouldn't of paid $5 for, however came with a price tag of $75. The food tasted mass made, and really just lacked complexity. The whole experience was really disappointing."

  • "the anti-pasti plate was awesome. Our Quattro pasta dish- their signature dish was swimming in oil- too much olive oil! The braised beef - special that night was very good and a large portion. I give it a 7/10 rating."

  • "My expectations when dining in Whistler are modest in the extreme (price-quality ratio is very poor in this town), but Quatro managed to disappoint even those. We arrived at 8:30 and it was 9:00 before we even had the chance to order a drink. We saw the waitress when we first sat down, and then not until my husband actually went to the bar to ask for her to come to our table. At that point they promised they had fresh bread in the oven for us, and when it arrived at 9:15 it was not even warm. Had the place been packed it might have made sense, but it was about half full at that point in the evening. The food was very so-so. The 6 tomato slices in the $15 caprese salad were hard and flavourless."

  • "I go there every year since at least 15 years and I never have any regrets. The food is excellent, the service is fast and courteous and the total ambiance is exceptional. Mr. Luc, the maitre dee is a wonderful person who uses every efforts to accommodate your requests. My sons who were with me this year enjoyed this restaurant as the one of the best in Whistler."

  • "Four of us came here for a friends birthday and were all impressed with the food. We have eaten at a lot of Italian restaurants and this is the best we have come across so far. One of our group is Italian and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Top quality good, very tasty and great service"

  • "My young daughter commented that her food was made with love. That's very high praise and it was well deserved. All of the food we ordered was exceptional and the service, professional and stellar. It was probably the best table service we've experienced in Whistler. I highly recommend this restaurant. We will return."

  • "We returned to Quattro since our first experience two years ago was good and this time was just as good. Service was great! We added a chair to the round table to make 7 and they were easy to accomodate."

  • "This was my first time at Quattro in Whistler but have been to the one in Vancouver many times. The food was amazing and the service was great. There were a couple of times we were waiting a little longer than we should have but it was a Saturday night. Will definitely be back!"

  • "Whistler has a lot of restaurants and most are just okay and somewhat pricy. Quattro is not cheap but, it is the best Italian food in the village. I would eat there again in a heart beat. The seafood past and Cornished hen were wonderful. The service and wine list was really good."

  • "We have tried most of the restaurants in Whistler and were able to secure a reservation at the last minute between Christmas and New Years. The front end staff made a horrible first and last impression. The young girls just took our name when we entered and did not give us an idea of how long the wait would be or anything. They just left us standing there. When we left my husband asked for our coats. The same girl brought them back in a bundle, dropped a new blazer on the wet floor and just laughed and said "oops". The overall service during dinner was attentive, but we were often asked the same thing by a few of the servers. Dinner was good and so was the atmosphere, but we're not in a hurry to return."

  • "Quattro is fabulous, both for adults and children. The wine list is fantastic, the dishes are outstanding, and there is a kids' menu. What more could one want."

  • "We ate here on our first night and it was sound. Nothing to complain about (unless the overinflated wine prices) but also nothing to shout about. Having eaten in other Whistler restaurants since, there is better out there (Elements Tapas, Crepe Montage, Negari Sushi, Grill and Vine). We found the restaurant decor very dark and not to our taste. It is popular so it pleases others."

  • "Ordinary food at prices that imply extraordinary meals. Nice place with great service, but the food doesn't meet expectations. We ordered the anti pasta platter for the whole table...and this was just fine though nothing memorable. Then things went downhill, the pastas that followed were Olive Garden level, and the fish was not edible. We avoided dessert and left. On the positive side the ambience is very good and the service was excellent."

  • "This is a restaurant which caters to you with exceptional service and food quality. If you are dining in Whistler, don't miss Quattro."

  • "The food was ok and the servers were very good. However, we were seated at a table touching the fireplace. It was so hot that it made it difficult to enjoy the meal. We were permitted to turn off the fireplace for a bit, until the table on the other side and near the door requested that we turn it back on. We're were not really given a choice but to do as the other table requested. They were dressed in tee shirts and did not want to put on an additional layer. Seemed a bit unfair to us."

  • "Great food, good portion size. Lots of pricey restaurants in Whistler. This one is pricey but you get a great meal."

  • "We just had Christmas dinner at Quattro Whistler and I am glad we chose to dine there. Food and service were top notch. Both the regular menu items and the special Xmas menu were well received by my guests. Server was knowledgable in is Wines, and generally very friendly. Tables seemed to be a little close together but that may have been a special set up for the holiday season. I hope to dine here again in the future."

  • "Fantastic food and service on Christmas Day. The restaurant was absolutely packed and a wee bit noisy but the quality of food and the service was still first class. The gnocchi was devine!!"
