A word from Quality Meats
Quality Meats is a contemporary restaurant that serves a rustic New American menu.
The varied menu focuses on modern interpretations of classic dishes such as Traditional Steak Tartare, Caesar Salad and Roasted Bone Marrow, in addition to several cuts of beef from legendary New York butchers Milton Abeles and Strassburger Meats.
The restaurant's side dishes alone merit a trip with innovative house specialties, including Corn Crème Brulee, Gnocchi and Cheese and Edamame with Mint Salt. The Quality Meats chefs are Craig Koketsu (Lespinasse, Stars) as executive chef and Cory Colton (Lespinasse, St.Regis) on pastry. The restaurant has a warm industrial atmosphere, created by award-winning AvroKO and features intimate dining areas, a comfortable bar area with well-stocked charcuterie bar.

  • "Had a great dinner experience for my brother's bachelor party. He wanted a "steak dinner," but not necessarily at an over-priced old school steakhouse. I thought Quality Meats would provide us the ambience of a great restaurant that was vibrant but also with a table that our group (of 7) some privacy so we could hear each other speak. They delivered!! And. the food was spectacular, our respective steaks (Filet Mignon, Rib Eye, and Hangar) were all cooked and marbalized to perfection, with great wine, and great appetizers and sides (especially "The Quality Potato). Service was very good and the final cost was reasonable considering the quality of the food, the amount we drank and that it is midtown New York. Thanks Quality Meats!"

  • "I arrived and stood waiting 5 minutes while the two hostesses typed away on their keyboard and chatted amongst themselves - they saw me waiting; eventually one of them helped me- by that time a line had formed - it took another 5 minutes to seat me as the hostess who I spoke to originally had disappeared and I had to give my name again! Good food - but this set the tone. I won't be back, plenty other options in NY"

  • "Nice place with good food and service but the noise level is unbearable. I went on a Thursday evening with a friend & we could barely hear each other speak. Maybe it's tourists who think they have to crank it up? Don't know but I have never been in a restaurant with this level of a roar. It was exhausting and, sadly, made me never want to go back and recommend only if you go alone with earplugs. Good luck."

  • "Used to be one of my places. on a recent visit we were extremely rushed dispite telling out waiter we wanted to go slowly. Our group of 5 specifically picked an early reservation on Monday night so we wouldn't be rushed. On the food side most things were good but one entree (veal chop) was under cooked."

Piping hot bread and a complimentary melon tray from the chef starts your mouth watering journey at this foodie's haven. A beautifully cut and displayed porterhouse for two and the sinful potatoes topped with chorizo sausage were incredible. The only disappointment was the bar. Upon arrival, we were. Looking forward to a cocktail which unfortunately were limited in options due to lack of stock."

Beautiful atmosphere but our server never once checked on us once the food arrived nor did she ask if I wanted any beverages with dinner , I.e glass of wine, etc. She had a very awkward personality for being in the public, was not friendly at all and we felt uncomfortable with her What could of been an amazing experience especially given we came from CA and this restaurant was highly recommended ended up being disappointing due to her lack of personality"

  • "This dinner was simply delicious. The atmosphere is exciting. So much energy felt as you go to table. Every course was remarkable. Bacon in peanut butter and blood orange was a surprise and totally yummy. Tomatoes topped in bacon compote and cheese was amazing. Steaks were tender and tasty, cooked to perfect. Wine recommendation was best ever. Highly recommend this place!"

  • "We were able to engage in wonderful conversation without screaming. Both was nicely situuated. The only not great thing was the Caesar Saled was awful. Served in amed deep bowl - tasteless. Asked for extra dressing and extra cheese. Helped a little but they should either learn how to make (and serve) a proper caesar or just delete it from the menu. There are enuf other good things to choose from. Mignonette sauce was a bit weird but passable. Steak was large (rib eye) and good - we had to get them to make it more medium rae but was perfect 2nd time out. Over all a wonderful night. Love the space"

Nice for a night out with the lady. During my last visit however, a large group of young men (college students maybe) sat right next to my table. They weren't the quietest bunch but it was still a fine dining experience."

  • "The food was delicious and the service was great as well. The only thing I did not like was the solicitation received after 2 minutes of sitting at our table. We had not even gotten our drinks and someone from the restaurant stopped by our table to promote their new restaurant (same company as Quality Meats). The man gave us a card offering free champagne when we visit the new restaurant. I personally do not like being solicited specially at a high end restaurant. He should have waited for us to leave and done it on our way out the door. We threw away the card."
