A word from Quality Meats
Quality Meats is a contemporary restaurant that serves a rustic New American menu.
The varied menu focuses on modern interpretations of classic dishes such as Traditional Steak Tartare, Caesar Salad and Roasted Bone Marrow, in addition to several cuts of beef from legendary New York butchers Milton Abeles and Strassburger Meats.
The restaurant's side dishes alone merit a trip with innovative house specialties, including Corn Crème Brulee, Gnocchi and Cheese and Edamame with Mint Salt. The Quality Meats chefs are Craig Koketsu (Lespinasse, Stars) as executive chef and Cory Colton (Lespinasse, St.Regis) on pastry. The restaurant has a warm industrial atmosphere, created by award-winning AvroKO and features intimate dining areas, a comfortable bar area with well-stocked charcuterie bar.

This is the place for meat! The space is warm, the service, knowledgeable and friendly, and the food is sublime. The ribs were outstanding and done to perfection; the rib eye was delicious, and oh, those sides! The corn chowder was amazing!! This is a meat lover's paradise.

The Maître d, Sophie, is amazing! Take care of her $$ and your dinning experience will start off effortlessly. Busy spot, if you don't have a reservation don't even try. The food, servers and cocktails are spot on. We literally have had everything on the menu. The bone in ribeye is a show stopper. Bon Appétit

Took my family here for my sons 18th birthday. Having eaten at many of NYCs steakhouses and seeing the great reviews I was excited. However the food, and the steak in particular, was not very impressive. My son and I ordered the porterhouse, and while the sirloin half was very good, the filet was fatty and too chewy. Sides were average as were the apps. Great wine by the glass selection though. Not sure if quality was down cause it was a Sunday night but I'd be much more inclined to repeat at Keens, Del Frisco's, and other spots before I head back to Quality Meats.

Took my wife here for her 40th on a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was modern, quirky and very atmospheric. The staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was excellent and were some of the nodes steaks we had ever had. They were perfectly cooked and flavoursome. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. The only minus point was it was a little bit noisy.

Had a group of six on a saturday night. We arrived a bit later than our reservation, but the host was cool about it. Really fantastic meal. Steaks were incredible. All the appetizers were delicious. Get the cheesy gnocchi and the bone marrow. I could not have enjoyed the meal more. Highly recommended...

Love this restaurant - never disappointed. Food is beyond delicious and the service was perfect. Noisy restaurant, so be prepared to speak up to be heard at your table. We complained about the loud and rowdy noise from an adjoining table and the manager immediately came over to apologize. He graciously sent us an extra (delicious) dessert as well. I would eat here every week if I had the time.

Usually make it a point to stop here when I visit NY. The past times the service has been excellent. However, this time our server rushed our dinner, dropped of our dishes, and didn't time things out properly. He did check back with us to see if we were ok and and maintain the table, but overall he came off rude. I've had very personable waiters in the past that really make it an experience at Quality Meats. So I was surprised to have someone that was a robot order taker.

Having arrived at 825 for our 830 reservation we were left standing around in a crowded area at the front of the restaurant for the best part of half an hour waiting for our table. The FOH team seemed overwhelmed and the seating process was chaotic at best. The table service was excellent though as was the food. Better control of the Front o House and this review would have been excellent....

We were walked through two vibrant dinning rooms to a back room that had about 10 tables. The room was dead and had none of the excitement or charm of the main dinning rooms. The porterhouse for two was decent. For a two hundred dollar bill, there was too much gristle on the meat. It's always nice to try a new steakhouse but for the money, it's not in my top five.

While the portion is generous, excellent quality of beef, great presentation, however, the flavor is below my expectation. The mushroom taste weird bitter and spice. The waffle potato were too soft. The bone marrow was generous and made us half full already. I wish the waiter told us if we order too much food. We had to request few times for water refill. Really? For that price, I wish I do not have to do so (many times). The toffee dessert was extremely sweet. Going back? Maybe not. Too many great steakhouse in NYC.

Great steak house in heart of New York with a more modern look and feel while still maintaining a steak house feel. Overall steaks were cooked very well and house made steak sauce was a nice complement to the entree. Rib steak with oversized rib bone made for a nice Wow moment when it arrived. Good steak nothing that made it stood out against the other premier steak houses in New York but definitely on par. Service was outstanding especially the wait staff that prepared the sauces that evening. Free Sunday parking in the area was a nice perk as well.

Well, it is a high end NYC steak house with the DNA of the founders of Smith and Wollenski. Great portions, excellent quality and wonderful selections. A solid wine offering but a little skinny in the dessert area. It is very noisy and tight, our server was a little absentminded, but overall this place doesn't disappoint. It was our second visit.

We dined at Quality Meats on October 16th. My wife has a gluten allergy and both of our servers were extremely accommodating and did their due diligence to ensure that what she had ordered was safe. Even though the restaurant was very busy, they were both very patient and understanding. The food was excellent - we had the bone marrow for appetizer, our main course of steak & salmon were cooked just the way we wanted and had the matcha mango bubble tea for dessert - but it was the amazing service that made the whole experience for us. Thank you for a wonderful evening! It's just unfortunate that I cannot remember their names.

SO and I came here for a nice dinner since he loves steak and I'd heard great things about Quality Meats. I did my research prior to going so we knew what we were ordering for the most part: steak tartare, creamed spinach, corn creme brulee, and the 24oz ribeye along with the chatham cod ). Steak tartare was AMAZING, full of flavor and I love the slightly chewy, sashimi-like texture of the raw beef. Creamed spinach was also awesome, as was the corn creme brulee which I could eat forever. SO's steak (med rare) was absolutely humongous and charred and seasoned perfectly, complemented nicely by their steak sauce. The cod was decent but not amazing. Our server was great and even fixed the wobbly table. Highly recommended!

I took my girlfriend to Quality Meats to celebrate our 1 year anniversary together. Everything about the experience was perfect. We arrived a few minutes early for our 7:30 reservation. We were seated within 5 minutes. We sat upstairs and were served by 3 members of the staff. All 3 of them treated us exceptionally. We started off with a glass of champagne. That was followed by the meatball appetizer which was a special. We both then had the Filet. We ordered the parmesan waffle fries and baby potatoes. We both had wine with our meals. We split the monkey bread dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious. One of the servers found out that it was our anniversary and our dessert plate had "Happy Anniversary" spelled out in syrup

From a warm professional welcome to the table it took only five minutes in the crowded industrial-chic Restaurant. The service had been fast and competent and the recoments are very qualified. The lobstercocktail as a starter is a real bargain, the ribeye and the filet mignon was exzellent and cooked perfect as ordered. The sideorders are the specialties, from parmesanpotatoes to creamspinach in the basket, everything was wonderful. We had a real nice steakhouse experience without normal frenchfries and ketchup, we will be back soon.
