Loved the ambiance --- lots of wood, art deco fixtures, mood lighting. The food was excellent. My friends enjoyed the prix fixe menu which was quite resonable. Service was superb.

We were disapointed with our experience at Quadrupel. Firstly, the place opened late- after the hours posted and we had to wait to be served. Then we ordered an apetizer and drinks at the bar before we went to our three course dinner at a table. We were informed that due to a failed delivery of supplies to the restaurant, they only had a limited supply of crab stuffed mushrooms and that we would only be served if we were actually going to be eating dinner there and not just passing through for happy hour. Added to this, the mushrooms were undercooked and stale. We proceded to our table and put in our orders only to find that every course we were served was different than what the menu had stated. The food was bad quality, stale and old too.

The restaurant is dark as it is all done up in attractive dark woods but the flat walls/ceiling/floor lead to a very loud interior.
When we entered we waited for 4 mins at the front desk and no one came to meet us. We finally had to walk back to the bar to get someone to seat us. We ordered a taste of the Champagne available by the glass and it was flat and corked. We ordered a bottle instead. The server opened the cork with his fingers (no napkin) then proceeded to pour it straight into the flute causing a ferocious head of foam until I took over hastily. The food was beautifully plated but the fish was over salted and the risotto had no trace of claimed truffle oil. The creme brulee was overcooked and dry. Very disappointing overall.

The unique attraction is the extensive selection of Belgian beer, but the food is finely-crafted market-driven fare, expertly prepared, which will encourage you to explore the pairings of food and beer in a way that is generally only thought of for wine. It's March now, and I enjoyed a perfectly-cooked chicken breast served in a truffle broth with English peas, fava beans, and baby carrots fresh from the market.
