Food was excellent, a lot of variety for anyone - because it was Mother's Day - lots of little kids but they seemed to enjoy the food too. Desserts were great - a lot to choose from. The carving station was very nice - I didn't try everything because quite honestly there were too many things to try - the salads looked great and I was sorry I missed that table. Everything was perfect, the food and service could not have been better.
They even gave us a complimentary kids buffet because my daughter hardly ate anything, not because she didn't like it, she never eats in restaurants.

Super comfy chairs allow you to linger and savour your meal. You can actually hear your companion talk without hearing others around you. Portions are small; it eez French, non? Our server Jason and his compatriots did an admirable job of keeping on top of things without being obtrusive. The chef's tasting was outstanding, as always and the service is on par with some of the best we've ever had. Extra bonus at the end of the meal was a visit to the kitchen and a tour of some of the equipment/techniques they use for the meal preparation.

Our table was by a window and a fireplace, so we were able to enjoy a nice romantic lunch on a weekday, which is rare in downtown Calgary. The space was large and not packed, so noise level was low and we also did not feel rushed by our server.
Overall the space has great light due to lots of windows and a view of the river. The food is fantastic and so is the presentation. I particularly like how they pour the starter soup into your bowl in front of you!
I enjoyed the experience so much I went back the very next day with a friend. Great spot for a business lunch as well or large groups! The menu items are interesting, the staff extremely knowledgeable, and overall just a very relaxed and enjoyable evening.
We enjoyed the "fixed menu", choosing 3 or 4 courses from available options. Food was elegant, delicious and the service was excellent. It was a quiet night, and so between courses we were invited back to the kitchen to see how the meals are prepared, which was a nice treat.

I have been there many times and this is the first that there was something on the plate that I didn't like. The vegetable fritter that came with the beef tenderloin was bland and too doughy, which made it very heavy. Everything else was good and service was excellent.
