  • "Set in the magnificent Saratoga State Park , this historic resort sports an anything but old resto. The menu is as current as today and the ingredients are fresh. Sit outside on the patio and breathe in the clean air, listen to the sounds of the fauna and imbibe on one of the very well prepared cocktails as you peruse the daily menu selections. The waiter will bring a basket of homemade potato chips as you order your meal. Try the pasta dishes- they are cooked perfectly. The seafood is prepared beautifully as are the meat entrees. Service is helpful and friendly. We come back yearly and have never been disappointed. This place is as good as a yoga session if you need a relaxing and satisfying 1 1/2 hours."

  • "We had our first family "restaurant" christmas dinner here.....it was very enjoyable.....nice menu selections....great atmosphere!...only complaint is that the service was extremely slow because the restaurant was understaffed because of the holiday....had to go find the waitress at one point to see where the rest of our drink order went to after ten minutes...:(....wasn't her fault since she had too many tables to wait on...:("

  • "Hotel was decorated beautifully for the Holidays. Food was okay and wait staff paid special attention to my children, which was a very nice touch. Table linens needed to be pressed and then need new chairs. A nice experiences, but not great."

  • "Delicious house made potato chips! Beet salad with goat ice cream was unusual and tasty. Both of us had the $14 burger which was ok but better quality beef would have made it really special. Onion rings were delicious but a bit too salty. Deli desserts looked really fun and unique but we were too full to try them. Innovative but brief menu."

  • "Sunday brunch is excellent and extensive. Large selection, generally well prepared though nothing unusual or unexpected. Lots of kids- many of them young, not especially well behaved, and over-indulged, so if you go with an adult group hope for seating in areas away from the playpen set!"

  • "Seven of us had lunch on the patio. Several of us had dined there before, so we expected it to be good, and we weren't disappointed. The Cobb salad with lobster was wonderful, and so was the waitress. The patio is lovely, landscaped with herbs and vegetables that are used in the kitchen. We'll be back!"

  • "I have to say that I was hesitant when I walked in. Our server recommended the specials and we were pleasantly surprised.... extremely surprised. The food was wonderful. The desert menu is not to be missed. We were completely enthralled by the descriptions and ordered just so we could see the presentation. Again, we were thrilled that it tasted even better than it looked. The deserts were the perfect size and not overwhelming. I would definitely return. The staff was wonderful, giving us a history of the chips and the artwork in the room."
