Eight friends, all in their 60s or 70s plus two in their 80s, travelled to the Hollywood Hill Block Party for a fun time. We came from Anacortes, an hour and 40 minutes north, intent on trying something new. I had had lunch at the Purple 5 years earlier and remembered how much I liked it. Our waitperson, Benjamin, agreed to separate checks, helped me find a hard cider on the menu, brought extra plates for sharing, and made everyone feel well cared for. We ordered pizzas, salads and one steak tips, the very food we wanted, eating at 4:00 before the Block Party began. Our dinner was a party in itself and the prelude to a very entertaining evening.

We went there for our anniversary. The waitress sat us down at a table by the window. It's a cozy environment. Tasty seasonal food. But the best part is the service. The manager came and greet us and gave us complimentary dessert and cheese for our anniversary. Their creme brulee was perfectly baked. The crust is perfectly crisp. It was a memorable experience dinning there. Thanks!

This was my first visit to the Woodinville location as my wife and I have always loved the Kirkland location and had wonderful meals. Very happy to say that all was true at Woodinville as well and that the outdoor dining is even better at this location. The food and service are outstanding. Simply a wonderful place to relax and be pampered with a great meal

I found Purple Cafe and Wine Bar on my last night in the Woodinville area and would have liked to have found it sooner. They have a great wine list and a very knowledgeable bar staff. The bartender turned me on to a glass of a local blend that was exceptional.

We chose the Purple for our anniversary celebration but found it did not meet our expectations. The noise level was so high that we could barely converse. The food was "good," but I found my risotto to be undercooked and under seasoned. The Purple house salad was delicious, and probably the highlight of the meal. My partner's grilled potatoes were under done. We enjoyed dessert: The brownie sundae and the peach dessert. Overall, it was an expensive meal considering the mediocrity of the food. The service was very good.

Always great food and nice wine list. The noise level inside is usually loud due to the way the room is constructed. Outside the noise is at a level where you can talk without raising your voice. The service is, from my many years of going there , always Great. I've been to all of your locations and enjoyed them all. Keep up the good work.

I have wanted to try Purple for quite some time. So when planning a day of wine tasting with my husband and some friends, choosing Purple as the place to eat and start our afternoon was a no brainer. Using Open Table to make a reservation was a useful tool as getting a table there on a first come first serve would have meant waiting awhile. We were seated within minutes of our reserved time and our server was soon there to greet us. Even though it was very busy our drinks and food were out in a timely manner. Their wine flights are inspired. I had their Adventure White Flight and got to try some wines that I just would not have been able to anywhere else. The food was a treat, their calamari was very tender. Highly recommend!

A friend who has lived locally recommended Purple Cafe for dinner. Enjoyed their Veggie Burger and Roasted Cauliflower so much, went back for lunch the next day. Have travelled extensively and this was the Best Veggie Burger I've had. A little loud with a crowd at dinner, but it's great to see a restaurant that pulls it all off with service, food and flair. Had my same server, Ami for dinner and follow up lunch, she was exceptional.

We selected this small neighbourhood restaurant in Woodinville, near where we were staying based on other reviews. It had a pretty good menu selection, and the food was good, although rather salty (to our tastes). There was an excellent wine list as well. It is located in a great spot for tasting wines from several tasting rooms directly next door, either before or after eating, so that made it quite convenient. The one thing we noticed was that the metal chairs, although attractive, were heavy and awkward to manipulate while at the table. Other than that, we enjoyed our meal.

Wonderful food in the heart of Woodinville wine country! Only complaint I have is that you have to be good about making a reservation as the wait time if you just walk up is too long...although there are winery tasting rooms close by...to make the wait nicer.

Wednesday is fried chicken night- Who knew? Chicken was perfect - crunchy, moist and cut into "eatable" size pieces. The biscuit was as big as my head but was still flakey and melt in your mouth. Garlic mashed potatoes, cole slaw. Large portions which meant I got a "repeat" for lunch the next day. My son and his son chose other items off the menu - most notable was the flat iron steak with these CRAZY potatoes. Can't believe we had room for dessert, but, oh my, glad we did!!

We visit Purple in Woodinville at least once a week, either for lunch or early dinner. Purple has a terrific Happy Hour (3-6) menu of good food and reduced priced wines. The service and servers are attentive and efficient. This week we went for dinner with friends. Two of us ordered the filet mignon plate. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. I marked "notable wine list" for the reason that Purple carries a large selection of Washington wines on its list.

We were seated for over 15 minutes without a drink order even being taken. I asked that we have a new waitress or we would think about dining elsewhere. The two young girls at the front desk looked like deer in headlights but after their confusion passed they asked that I give them a few minutes. Our waitress came by and took appetizer and drink menus, and it seemed no one had spoken to her. When she brought the appetizers she informed us we would have a new waitress. Then after quite a while she came back and took our dinner orders. Even though she had mentioned it, we didn't get a new waitress. I know these are low paying service jobs, but hiring these young girls who can't even provide basic service is unacceptable. Worst dining ever.

We had dinner reservations and happened by Purple at lunch so checked out the menu for dinner. So impressed we stayed for lunch and returned for our dinner reservations. Fresh, flavorful, unique dishes. Especially enjoyed the mushroom burger, tomatoe soup, cauliflower soup, watermelon endive salad, mushroom and crab pasta and the very best were the sea salted caramels for dessert - to die for! Excellent wine list. After spending two days at tasting rooms, found our favorite bottle of trip at Purple. Ben was an excellent waiter so ask for him.

Apple pancakes enjoyed on the patio were delicious. Bacon was perfectly prepared and portion was very generous. French press with cream was full bodied, bordering on espresso. Our little dog Dolly highly recommends the chicken breast and had enough for two more meals. They actually welcome the puppies on the patio. Couple at the next table bring their dog too and love that she has her own dish. The atmosphere is relaxing.

I have been to Purple many times and always really enjoyed the food. On my last visit my friend and I each tried one of the pasta dishes and were disappointed. We always eat at Purple when we are in the area. As usual we were not disappointed. Our server was very patient with me as I couldn't make up my mind about wine. She let me taste a couple and was great when I changed course completely and had a glass of Cava instead! We started with two of the delicious "signature' salads that we crave when we have been away for too long. It was a cold night so we both ordered the comforting meatloaf. Yum, so delicious and perfect to warm us up. Three caramels to take home and it was another memorable meal! Thanks for always exceeding our expectations!

This was our first date after moving from Illinois. All the wine tasting shops were closed for the night, but I found that Purple Cafe offered flights of Washington and Pac NW wines, so I reserved a table. It's a beautiful restaurant, the food was amazing, and the wine choices were fun and we fell in love with two of them. But the entire experience took almost 2 hours. First wine wasn't poured till nearly 15 minutes into the stay. Waitress was friendly but on this particular night (eve of July 4th), we didn't get served on as often as we would have liked. It was still a GREAT evening out, but I highly recommend asking for a bottle of wine straight out to help tide you over between possible lean spells in service. :) Cheers!

At my child's request, I took him to Purple to celebrate the last day of school. He ordered the milk flight and I ordered a glass of bubbly. Lunch was good and we ordered dessert. After ordering dessert I told our server I was going to take the child to the restroom. When we returned the table, it was completely cleared off of everything including and most upsetting my wine. They did bring us new glasses of water and our dessert but I'm still upset at having spent $11 on a glass of wine only to have them get rid of it and not replace it. That's horrible service in my opinion. I should be able to leave the table for 3 minutes and not discover everything missing if I've alerted our server. I may need to find a new celebration location.
