  • "We always eat at Purple when we are in the area. As usual we were not disappointed. Our server was very patient with me as I couldn't make up my mind about wine. She let me taste a couple and was great when I changed course completely and had a glass of Cava instead! We started with two of the delicious "signature' salads that we crave when we have been away for too long. It was a cold night so we both ordered the comforting meatloaf. Yum, so delicious and perfect to warm us up. Three caramels to take home and it was another memorable meal! Thanks for always exceeding our expectations!"

  • "This was our first date after moving from Illinois. All the wine tasting shops were closed for the night, but I found that Purple Cafe offered flights of Washington and Pac NW wines, so I reserved a table. It's a beautiful restaurant, the food was amazing, and the wine choices were fun and we fell in love with two of them. But the entire experience took almost 2 hours. First wine wasn't poured till nearly 15 minutes into the stay. Waitress was friendly but on this particular night (eve of July 4th), we didn't get served on as often as we would have liked. It was still a GREAT evening out, but I highly recommend asking for a bottle of wine straight out to help tide you over between possible lean spells in service. :) Cheers!"

  • "This restaurant sits right in the midst of the wineries. Perfecct for lunch or dinner or just a cheese and wine pairing."

  • "Purple is one of our favorite restaurants for a quick bite, great wine, and great food. We love that there are multiple locations. Food is consistently great, and we've always had great service. This was our first time to their weekend brunch. Two of us had their regular lunch, and one had the fried egg sandwich from the brunch menu. Fantastic! Wait staff was attentive and helpful, but not intrusive."

  • "Had lunch with friends. It was great food but it was so busy that the service was not good. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to have it better staffed. Would have ordered dessert and coffee but no one was around to take our order."

  • "I took my son on a date, and we had an amazing time. They have a milk flight for kids (or grownups) and wine flights. We had a cheese plate and dessert. He felt so fancy. We both did. It's also very good for adults."

  • "At my child's request, I took him to Purple to celebrate the last day of school. He ordered the milk flight and I ordered a glass of bubbly. Lunch was good and we ordered dessert. After ordering dessert I told our server I was going to take the child to the restroom. When we returned the table, it was completely cleared off of everything including and most upsetting my wine. They did bring us new glasses of water and our dessert but I'm still upset at having spent $11 on a glass of wine only to have them get rid of it and not replace it. That's horrible service in my opinion. I should be able to leave the table for 3 minutes and not discover everything missing if I've alerted our server. I may need to find a new celebration location."

  • "I sat outside for lunch on a gorgeous day with a colleague. We had a great 2-hour discussion on school funding and enjoyed the food. I've always had a good meal at Purple. The chicken sandwich was great, the salad fresh and the iced tea actually brewed somewhere. It would be nice to look at the fields instead of the parking lot, but still nice to be outside."

  • "We came on a Monday night and it was not that busy. The food was great as always, but our waiter was not. It happens!"

  • "not a very good experience at all. the waitress got our order wrong. the entrees had to go back, my wife's and mine until mine was ready again. the food was not very well done at all. my wife had shrimp on a salad that had not been deveined. my pizza was disappointing once the right one came versus previous meals at this restaurant. we had not been here in awhile and decided to give it another try but this was the last time for us."

  • "Bring plenty of cash or your credit card when you go to Purple, my entree that I splurged on was $35. Purple is expensive but is one of the few good restaurants in Woodinville and still way less pricey than Barking Frog or (get serious) Herbfarm."

  • "the food was fantastic! i wish the bartender was little more nicer, she barely talked to me... and i wanted to add some additional food to the order, and couldn't find her. when she came back she just walked by me, which i was sitting at the bar. i asked another waitress to help me, and she was very nice. • "I met a girlfriend for lunch, and we had a great waiter ~ Seth was his name. We started out seated indoors but ended up asking to move outside since the weather was so great. Seth was very accommodating, and we were happy that he continued to be our server, even after our move. Lunch was excellent ~ terrific sandwiches...and Seth recommended the wine, which was a very tasty Malbec. As we completed our meal, Seth also treated us with a great overview of the local wine tasting facilities and brought out a map to show us where to go. He offered up his own personal favorites and was really helpful! All in all it was a very enjoyable experience..."

  • "We had heard about the great food and wine at this restaurant. The waiter was wonderful - very patient with us since we love wine...just don't know much about it. He helped us find the perfect bottle plus a glass for our friend who is a white wine girl. He didn't make us feel uncomfortable at all and helped us find just the right one! The food was spectacular! What a wonderful place for a night out with friends!"

  • "As always, Woodinville Purple did not disappoint. Its a solid "go to" for people looking for a great place to eat. As executive chef for Columbia Winery, I get asked all the time, where I go to eat. Woodinville has several great places, but this is my favorite. "

  • "My mother and I went to purple for mothers day brunch. It was a very nice day, we sat close to the wide open doors to the outside patio seating. Very nice wait staff and hostess. The only thing about purple is they try to put too many people in a small space. Other patrons were trying to use the restrooms and would have to ask others to pull their seats in etc. This lead to the noise level being very high and disturbing. Over all a very nice place just wouldn't choose it for a 24 year old man and his mother trying to relax and have brunch. It is also pretty pricey for what you got."

  • "Good food. Good service. Convenient location. Just what I was looking for to enjoy a rare night out with an old friend. The ambience wasn't particularly special and the tables were small and compact. The restaurant filled up and stayed full throughout the night. Always a good sign. I'll go back more often."

  • "Purple Cafe in Woodinville is absolutely delicious! If you are looking for inventive food and good wine. This is the place. My husband and I double dated with some friends and had a wonderful experience. Loved the ambiance, the waitress was very knowledgeable about the wine, and the menu has great options. It is a little pricy, I recommend getting the Purple Cafe gift cards at Costco for a little discount. It is worth the extra money, though, for a special occasion. I recommend the goat cheese dates off the appetizer menu, YUM! However, if you are looking for a quiet place for a date, this is not the place. Our double date night was on a Tuesday night at 6pm and it was busy and NOISY. Come packing your hearing aids! Overall, we love Purple."

  • "The food and personalized service contributed to this special evening for my husband and myself. The personable staff is extremely knowledgeable about the wines and the ingredients in their dishes. The desserts were over-the-top amazing. Kudos to the pastry chef! The dinners were delicious, albeit somewhat overpriced."

  • "Not only was the menu bold and fresh, the wine list was far-reaching. Our ride back to the hotel was delayed so a staff person drove us back (in the rain)! Now, that is going above and beyond!"

  • "Just as good as the other locations. This one however is more compact and loud do to the space and all the concrete. I could barely hear my company."

  • "Gorgonzola stuffed dates, calamari, steelhead, lamb chops and mini creme brûlée. Everything was perfect, seasoned well and cooked just right. We brought a nice bottle of wine and there was no corkage fee (free on 1st, $15 per bottle after; can't be on their wine list though)."

  • "I love the food and wine at Purple, but the parking situation is getting quite out of hand. On this occasion we had to park in a lot that had an unlit dirt path leading to it from behind the building. If you want great food without the parking hassle, I recommend the Bellevue or Kirkland Purples."

  • "Our three course meal special was delightful - well repaired and well-resented. My steelhead was delicious and moist, my husband's meatloaf with mushrooms declared a winner. Our server was attentive and welcoming even though she was busy both indoors and out. The teamwork here is evident. The noise level is for us the only weak pint. Carrying on a conversation requires a loud voice. On the other hand, everyone seemed to be having a great time. This is a favorite for us."

  • "THis is our second time to celebrate a birthday. My sisters and my 94 year old Dad have found this place to be a gem. The waitress was great both times. She gave us time to chat, eat and open gifts. We will continue to go here to celebrate our birthdays.. Their back room with the wall of candles is an intimate and very private place to be with friends and family.."

  • "We made a reservation for Friday evening and then had an earlier event inturupted by a phone call requesting us to confirm our reservation. The call was made over an hour before our reservation to be there. My husband excused himself to return the call for fear our table would be given away. Do they not honor the reservation made via Open Table?"

  • "The Purple Café in Woodinville has the charm of great restaurants that tend to spring up in wine country. The décor was country-charming. The food, great; the service, competent and friendly. This is a restaurant that I would gladly go back to."

  • "this is an excellent restaurant that is essentially pricing itself out of the market. we had an excellent meal lunch for 3 people no alcohol and it cost over $80 with tip a little over $30 per person that is over priced in my view for a sandwich and fries or a salad and soup. We will only return on very special occasions"

  • "I had a friend coming from out of the state. I chose your restaurant to show her the wine country and the quaintness of Woodinville. She was very impressed and next time she is town for business she would like to bring her family with her and enjoy the area."

  • "This was our first time at the Purple Cafe and Wine Bar in Woodinville, and it was a perfect choice for a very special occasion. I made the reservations the night before using OpenTable, and I am glad I did since the place was packed, but we were taken right to our table without a wait. We each chose one of the three-course fixed price menus and could not have done better. The meal, the wine, and the service was outstanding. We truly had a lovely evening and look forward to coming again."
