I have been there twice in the
last two weeks, once for lunch, once for dinner. Every bit as good as anything in NYC in terms of food and presentation. Wait staff very friendly and accommodating. Definitely enjoyed a drink at the bar before going to table. Eclectic decor. Will be stopping in again soon."

Went with friends for dinner, and
had a great time. The atmosphere was comfortable. The service was good. Nice waitress. The food was delicious! Not one complaint from any of us, from appetizers to desert. Portion weren't bad, prices were reasonable. Can't remember being at a Resturant like this in this area. Looking forward to going back. We didn't go to the bar afterwards so I can't say anything about it, but looking forward to it next time. Place was filling up when we left. I do recommend going even though you gotta get kinda of dressed up for the place. I don't like getting dressed up but the place is worth it."

Pure is absolutely amazing. The
atmosphere and vibe was so chic, the service was out of this world, and the food and drinks were spectacular. I can't wait to get back there! Pure is a must for any occasion because it's an experience beyond compare. Don't miss it!"

As the title states this place
just ok. I found after four vodka and club sodas that the drinks were rather weak as I did not even have a slight buzz. The food was either muddled in thick sauce or as in the case of my Pad Thai chicken, a blob of over cooked noodles and sauce. In a Pad Thai dish the ingredients should all be identifiable with fresh basil and some heat. Not the case here. No stand outs here as our guests had a filet Mignon which was over cooked but requested medium. In all, the location may be best for group gatherings and a few drinks as a DJ music becomes loud at 10pm. Don't go for the food."

I have dined at Pure twice and
have thoroughly enjoyed both occasions. The food is young, fresh, clean american food with a mix of sushi and steakhouse fare. The ambiance is crisp, clean and hip, yet comfortable enough for a family. I went with family my first time and a friend the next. Great find in the middle of Parsippany."

The night's service did not start
off too well. Did not receive a menu until we sat down for 15 minutes and it took 20 minutes to get our first drink, martins, to arrive at our table. But the service did improve after that hiccup. The food was good. I had the seared scallops which were done perfectly and very tasty. My gf had the sea bass which was good not great. We split the clams and mussel soffrito appetizer whuch was a bit too creamy and the mussls a bit to small. Overall the food was good but the price for the meal was high for just good food and not great. $126 without tip for two entrees, one appetizer, 4 martinis and one espresso is high if my taste buds are not going to be thrilled."

We decided to try Pure on a Friday
night. The bar was crowded and noisy but sounded like everyone was having a good time. We had reservations and were seated immediately. We were approached by our server right away. Drinks were very good. Service was attentive and the food was also very good. Three of us had soups, one a spring roll appetizer. We were all pleased. We enjoyed the hanger steak, short ribs and the shrimp and pasta dish. We were a little hesitant to go because of some negative reviews but found them unfounded during our experience. I would recommend this restaurant."

This is the 3rd or 4th time I have
been to Pure but this will be the last. Service wasn't what I expected there were only 2 'real' servers. They said they were working together but it seemed to me they didn't talk to each other. One would stop at the table and ask the exact same thing the other server wanted to know. It was annoying to keep saying I told the other guy, or he asked that already. Shawn tried but Billy seem to be whining about there only being 2 servers."

Went this past Saturday night with
friends. While the restaurant itself is quite nice, that is about it. The memu is eclectic and all over the place. Our waiter couldnt answer even the most basic question - "what are your top 3 choices for dinner?" He gave such a convoluted answer and then told us not to order any of the thai dishes. "We are not a thai restaurant" the waiter said. Very expensive for inept everything. The food was only mediocre."

This was the second time my
husband and I ate at Pure. We were there with another couple. The food and service was just as good as the first time (Valentine's Day). I had the sea bass the first time and salmon the second. The fish is properly prepared and extremely tasty. MY husband had the rib eye the first time and the short ribs the second. Both are excellent. Our friends had the rib eye and based on my husband's recommendation and they were pleased with their choice. We highly recommend the calamari. It doesn't come with the traditional sauce and is perfectly fried."

I've been to this place twice and
I absolutely love it. The food, drinks, staff and the overall atmosphere are GREAT!"

I called before we went asked if
we could bring our own wine. The answer is yes, so we did but was told must be charged for $25 which they didn't tell me when I called. After we made order, the waitress came back and told us the wine we ordered was not available. But actually it was available. After we finished the food, the waitress came back and asked us to order desert, but we actually did ordered at the same time we ordered other dishes. After that, we waited for over 30 mins to get our desert, after I asked the manager two times."

We went to Pure for the first on
Valentine's Day. A rose for the woman was a nice opening touch. Food was very good - I had scallops as my first course, followed by a shrimp salad which I thoroughly enjoyed. Fillet mignon was okay, asparagus and potatoes were even better. Soufflé for dessert topped off a lovely evening. Dinner was leisurely. Shawn and our our waiters were extremely attentive. Warning - if you order a drink "on the rocks" it will cost you $2 extra. $2 for ice, really ?????????"

Located attached to a Holiday Inn
in a retail section of Parsippany who knew that there would be a restaurant this good. The decor is great and the food is wonderful. The Spicy Tuna Tartar Stack as an appetizer is fantastic. There is a very nice wine selection. On my first visit I had a wonderful bone in Ribeye which was as good as any high end steakhouse and on my second visit I had the duck confit which was moist and tender. Service is excellent. and prices are fairly reasonable. It will be part of our regular dining rotation when we want to go a bit upscale."

While the waitress was very
attentive and very nice, the service was a little slow. That's more the kitchen then the waitress."

This was the 5th time I have eaten
at Pure. The first time when it opened it was great but we have had varying experiences since then. This weekend was by far the worst experience. We sat down at 6pm and didn't leave the restaurant until 840 (the restaurant was hardly busy at the time). We asked the waitress what the specials were and when we ordered wine, she asked us what # of the wine (something clearly a waitress should know and not expect a customer to point out). I ordered a medium steak and received a well done steak. It took them 25 minutes to get another steak out. Loved it when it first opened, but since there are many other new options in the area, we will now try those out."

Cool, friendly and diverse food
and cocktail menu. Highly recommend the Spicy Tuna Tartare and scallops. Presentation, food portions on the money and good value. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Will definitiely be returning to try some of the other yummy items on their menu. Cosmos were tasty too."

I have been to this restaurant
three times. The food is very good, but each time i go there there has been a problem. The first two times I went i made a reservation and had to wait 45 minutes for a table because they "ran out of menus". I have never heard such a thing. The third time i went was my recent visit on New Years Eve. Again i invited guests and when we drove up we were stopped by parking attendants who told me that it was $10 to park. Can you imagine? The restaurant is in a hotel and they were charging to park in the hotel parking lot whether they parked the car or not. They were clearly taking advantage of their patrons. So, it cost me $20 because i paid for my guests. Dont think i will go back."

The atmosphere is enjoyable!
Quality of food is outstanding! A great place to celebrate with friends or have a romantic meal. Diffenently give Pure a try!"

Went for the first time on Friday
night with my wife and daughetr after passing by in the car somany times. We were quite pleased. The restaurant is docorated nicely and the food was excellent. The sushi was very fresh and the pad thai (I got it spicy) was one of the best I have had. Portion sizes were good and the menu is not at all overpriced (NYC quality at suburban prices). I saw some reviews where people cmplained about the service, but our service was great. Note that we did sit down at 6:30 PM, so a bit early. They have an extensive kids menu as well, which is always a plus."

The food reviews sounded good, but
the service reviews were lousy. Service has definitely improved! We were greeted warmly & seated right away. The first waiter reviewed some of the popular items on the menu. He took our drink order & a second waiter took our food order. Both were attentive, knowledgable, friendly, & professional. The drinks, appetizers, dinners, & dessert were all delicious. Cocktails were strong. Wine was chilled appropriately. The yellowfin appetizer & tuna tartar were super fresh & tasty. We had sea bass & the steak special for dinner. I cleaned my plate! The steak was not super hot, but was cooked perfectly. We shared dessert - trio of creme brûlée, which was the proper temperature & yummy. We'll definitely go back."

The food here was very good. Was
our second time here (1st time only had appetizers by the bar). The entries and appetizers are very well prepared, fresh and good. My only complaints was the waiter was at times clueless regarding some of the menu items or was hardly present. The second issue was they had a DJ playing music. While I love club music, I don't want to be screaming to speak to a person who is literally a few feet away from me. Overall, I would go back here again."

to be hip. Staff inexperienced.
Some confusion. Food imaginative, but not spot on."

My wife and I both decided to
stick with the sushi side of the menu for our first time at Pure. I had the crab cakes appetizer - chock full with crab and enough for two people to share easily) - and my wife had a sugar cane beet salad, which was more like a raw beet carpaccio with goat cheese and greens - very different and very tasty. Most of the sushi rolls caters to those who like the spicy side, but they were all fresh and tasty. We will definitely return and give the steak/seafood side of the menu and chance, also."

The food was excellent, there was
a large group of us and everyone loved their dishes. The wait staff and manager were the opposite. This is a steak restaurant and the waiter didn't know what the difference between a medium rare and a medium steak was, other than to say the medium was less juicy. When asked how the sea bass was prepared he said "in a pan." Service was extremely slow and our meals did not all come out at the same time, both the appetizers and entrees. Some dishes didn't come out as hot as they should, our guess is they were sitting in the kitchen. We waited over 20 minutes for coffee and dessert, which we eventually cancelled. When the bill arrived we had still been charged for the coffee and desserts."

We got there early (5:30) and sat
in the bar for a drink. The place was deserted and the bartender very friendly and accommodating. We sat in one of the dining rooms for dinner. Again, not many people so it was quiet. We love sushi so we went for the omakase. Nicely done, well presented, imaginative blend of flavors throughout. The sushi came all at once and there was a surprisingly large number of pieces. Definitely a bargain for omakase. We had the lava cake with caramel center and hazelnut ice cream. The lava cake was excellent. Service was very good. Overall, a very nice dining experience. The place was packed when we left and fairly noisy so getting there early is best if you want a quiet dinner."

This is our second time back at
Pure. The 1st time is was so good the food was great the noise level was good and we had a great time. But this time it took over 20 min to get our drinks, we order appetizers they came in good time and were good. But then it took about 1hr or so for our dinner and it was ok. They got the order mixed up and it was just a overall a bad night. But they did give us our dessert on the house. I guess it was a bad night for them but I would go back for a drink and listen to the music it has a nice bar scene."

Had an excellent meal at this
French/American/Asian fusion restaurant. Started with sushi that was so fresh a tasty. The veal chop was huge and perfectly cooked . The scallops were beautifully prepared but a bit more spicier than expected. I would have given service a 5 except that we felt that we were a bit rushed to order. The waiter soon realized we weren't going to be rushed and so we ended up having a wonderful and leisurely meal. The place is huge but having small rooms made it more intimate. The bar is a great place to hang out. There are also tables there to have a small or full meal."

We had a 7:00 reservation; the two
young hostesses said they only had a table for us between two large parties. I located a table by the bar area that was quiet. Put larger parties in the separate room by the bar. The tables for 2 are small. The fire & ice shrimp was a yummy appetizer. I ordered the grilled chicken over basmati rice and my date had the yellowtail sushi & volcano roll. Both meals were well prepared and tasty! For dessert we had tres leches cheesecake & the hazelnut semi freddo. Both were delicious!"
