I'd say the most notable thing is the food. My wife had the halibut special and I had the pura vida burger - both were amazing! If you want a burger I highly recommend going here. One of a kind. My wife couldn't say enough about the halibut and she's normally not a big fish eater.
Service was great and we were very happy with our first experience there. However I had to write about the special fish feature I had, which was a coriander-crusted halibut, served over a mix of spring vegetables & fingerling potatoes. The aroma was amazing, & the flavors even better. Our server was helpful when we had questions about the menu and made some great recommendations. There was a nice selection of gluten-free and vegetarian options on the menu. Be sure to leave room for dessert! Our friends are still talking about the peanut butter & chocolate dessert and we loved the incredibly moist gf almond cake we shared. Dinner was fabulous in all respects. From the chai infused vermouth in their signature Manhattan to great service and a creative menu that caters to all tastes - it was a wonderful experience. We started with the black quinoa salad which was refreshing and tasty; a seafood and corn bisque followed - a generous "cup" serving - wonderful flavor . I had a bone in ribeye which was done to perfection and as good a steak served anywhere in the city. My wife had the duck and waffles which was amazing. We are so glad we did. While it's not an intimate, romantic spot it was the perfect place for us. That is due to the extensive vegetarian and vegan options. There were as many choices for us as there were for carnivores. We loved the food and we are looking forward to returning in nice weather when the patio doors will be wide open. On this visit, I had the sensational shrimp and corn chowder with house made oyster crackers followed by the buttery tender Kobe beef sirloin with A-1 onion marmalade, roasted fingerlings and asparagus. My husband ordered the African peanut stew and the day's pasta which was St Patrick's weekend inspired featuring corned beef and incredibly delicious. The food was original and very tasty, as were the drinks. Service was very personable and quick. We all agreed we would go back both as a group and individually. I have the butternut squash fondue (YUM) and the blackened Trout, which was flavorful and a generous portion. My husband had the shrimp and corn chowder, beet salad and shrimp & grits for his entree. Five jumbo shrim on house made grit cakes. All were delicious and the plate presentation was beautiful! We would return in a heart beat!
