A few friends were in town and we were looking for a restaurant that would be convenient to our final destination. Puerto 27 Peruvian Kitchen fit that bill. I was expecting a small little restaurant, not a larger size restaurant with the view of the Pacific ocean. What a view it was too! The food was amazing. The service was great as well. We, as a group had many questions and with so many choices, troubling making our lunch choices. The waiter was patient and when prompted offered suggested and even agreed to some minor modifications. We were all happy with this choice. I'd definitely like to go back!

We went there on Friday night, then again on Saturday night. On Friday we ordered at the bar and got both beef and chicken empendadas. Along with an order of plantain chips, everything was fantastic, oh and the Pisco Sours were great too. Then on Saturday we had the reservations, and sat at a table. I was disappointed that they were sold out of the plantain chips. But we ordered thd Chicharron de pollo as an appetizer, delicious. For dinner, my husband had the Bisteck a la Pobre, (New York Steak), and I had the Arroz Con Pato (Muscovey duck breast), which both were fabulous, but mine was beyond that, it was amazing. My usual favorite at Fresca is the Aji de Gallina, but I decided to order something different. So happy! Great night!

Manager could not find our open table reservation but found an OK table near entrance. Decided to try an outdoor table. Our waitstaff and several other waitstaff had some outside tables in their coverage and all the outside tables seemed slightly lacking is service. That's OK if you are on a leisurely pace. The food was good and seemed delivered promptly after waitstaff give fire command.

I was on time for my reservation and yet there was a delay in getting to our table. The wait wasn't even worth it. The restaurant has a bar in the center that's elevated above some tables. We were seated below the bar seats and in walking traffic of a busy walkway. We had no view and I was told that people above me were taking selfies above my head. My entree was very tasty yet cold. It took forever to receive water when we sat down, nobody checked on us and when we asked for dessert that also took eternity. The place makes it difficult to hold a decent conversation. It's like being at a club or a local bar. I wouldn't recommend this place unless I was having a cocktail at the bar.

The restaurant is beautiful, the food is absolutely fabulous, every staff member friendly/attentive and the drinks were delicious! Reservations for dinner engagement celebrating my birthday party of 5 - my family have never been, we've been talking bout it for quite some time and decided THIS is the place to celebrate my birthday. The waiter was fantastic; explained in detail of items on the menu. We had appetizers and drinks (cervicha puerto27/taquenos); Everyone ordered something different (Linda Mar Pasta/Lenguado/Loma Saltado/Chanchito) each dish was extremely tasteful and well portioned. One of THE BEST local spots around ~ you gotta check it out ;)

Good food can't make up for a poor staff. There are certain rules that make or break a dining experience. For instance, if I am having a Ceasar salad most places will offer fresh ground pepper and not just put the salad on the table and walk. Don't drop my main meal at the table when I am in the middle of my salad, it gets cold. Might want to ask if I am done prior to picking up my plate, and if I am having coffee with dessert I expect the coffee to arrive before I am done with the dessert.

We've eaten half a dozen times at Puerto 27. When it first opened, it was great. Great service, really good food. A month or so ago, I ordered deep-fried something, maybe shrimp, and it was all crust. Yuck! Last night, I ordered "Pan roasted trout," and I couldn't eat most of it. Bones and other hard, inedible stuff all over the place. Service was sloppy, one waiter asked to take our order after another had already taken it. I know it's required that a successful restaurant be so noisy that you can't have a normal conversation, and Puerto 27 passes that test.

If you're looking for a perfect ocean view on a warm night this is the spot. A quick ride from SF. The food is delicious. The ambiance is suitable for all -It is a large restaurant with tables available in quiet spots and some in noisier/lively spots. All in all a very pleasant experience. We would definitely return - generous portions!

Honestly, the portions are INSANELY small and the prices are just as high as La Mar in SF, if not higher. Food was ok, but definitely not worth the price tag. Entrees were great, but we spent 70$ on appetizers that wouldn't have fed a family of mice. There are much better peruvian places in SF for the cost.

A group of 5 had an early dinner there this week. The food was wonderful. The service was slow - long waits. My biggest problem is the noise level. Even with the place mostly empty it was difficult to have a normal conversation. The problem is caused because there is nothing but hard surfaces inside. A carpet would help, for example.

Local restaurateurs finally get it right. I never could understand why this fabulously located restaurant constructed in classic seaside resort design did not have a sensational restaurant. Now fresh ceviche, mussels, and Pisco cocktails marry the venue to the coast. I've been told the owners are the same local family who have been preparing delicious, authentic Peruvian food in my West Portal neighborhood and the Fillmore. I am happy to see their continued success

I left somewhat upset with the waitress who came to ask us if there was something wrong with her service because she asked why we had left her almost 15% of her tip which we really should have given to the other guys who served us more then her. I was upset that she followed us to the bar with my friends to ask us why we had given her that amount for a tip. I don't think that is right and I have never been somewhere were your waitress follows you and ask you why you tipped them the way you did. That is very bad!!!! Not sure if I will come back.

It had been a few months since our last visit, and we were pleased to find that the portion sizes of the entrees had been made more consistent. They used to have a few quite large ones but mostly ones that were slightly too small. Now they are just right. All are unique and tasty. The appetizers continue to be small enough to be eaten by one person but delicious. The cocktail menu has been redone with their usual creativity. In addition to an array of piscos and pisco cocktails, they have an array of unusual and creative drinks. The service was attentive.

The menu was thoughtfully prepared, and even a bit more extensive than I would have expected in this eclectic hot spot on the coast in Pacifica. Lots of fish items, as would be expected in a Peruvian restaurant, but also a number of chicken, beef and even lamb selections. Just don't try to carry on a conversation as the high ceilings and tons of glass tend to reflect the noise level to overwhelm any attempt at communication other than nodding and sign language. The prices were a bit high (dinner for 4 was nearly $300 with tip - didn't even order wine) but for a special occasion, it can be a real gem.

This was our third visit. My husband and I took my parents for their anniversary. You can't beat the service. Also, just a beautiful spot. Food is very tasty. My only complaint is that it is a little loud. My husband, who knows about these things, says that it's because of all the glass...there's nothing to absorb the sound. So I guess it can't be helped. Either a beautiful view or quiet. I'll take the view.

Food was delicious, view is amazing. Ceviche fresh, tender, flavorful...disappointed they chagred extra for plantains to scoop it up with. Wish they could open up the windows to let in the ocean breeze, gets pretty warm at sunset. Service was horrible. Waiter took at least 10 minutes to even come over & first talk to us, then he just walks up & doesn't really say anything, no welcome or anything. Was very odd. Appetizer came out about one minute before entrees....makes me wonder if it was sitting up there waitining for the waiter to serve us. Spilled galss of water took another 5-10 minutes for anyone to to come over & help. So 4 stars for food & view, but the service almost ruins the experience.

I grew up in Pacifica and since I live in SF, it is an easy drive to get my ocean/beach fix. There have been many restaurants in this space prior to Puerta 27...all of them horrible. Puerta 27's interior was beautifully remodeled, the bar is a great space and of course the windows looking out on Linda Mar beach are exactly where you want to dine. I have loved the owners' Fresca restaurants in SF, and they did not disappoint with this Pacifica gem. Wonderful, fresh food, an excellent Pisco Sour and always very friendly wait staff.

Reserve and order carefully for the best experience: ask for a window table when reserving; note that the "white fish" (farmed Tilapia on our visit) ceviches are priced similar to those with ahi and hamachi; and be aware that the protein-to-carb ratio in some of the more fish entrées may be very low.

Stopped here for lunch on our drive down the coastline. We were quite impressed with the food and service. Our waiter was wonderful...friendly, pleasant and offered excellent menu recommendations. Every dish we ordered was wonderful! Flavorful and hot off the stove. The plantain chips and yucca potatoes were quite tasty too. There's indoor and outdoor seating as well as an extensive bar with 3 or 4 flat screen televisions. It was fairly quiet, despite being busy on this particular Saturday afternoon. Wonderful spot!
