A word from Puerto 27 Peruvian Kitchen & Pisco Bar
Puerto 27 brings the charm of traditional Latin American dishes and incorporates a modern contemporary twist. Puerto 27 is designed to serve family style and incorporate family traditions in hopes of maintaining the old school feel. Our dishes are made with premium quality fresh ingredients, infused with exotic flavors and modern techniques. We offer an array of small plates as Anticuchos (Peruvian Skewers). We showcase a full ceviche bar along with an exquisite variety of homemade desserts.

We highlight a 140-seat two level dining room with ocean views that include a color scheme of ocean blues and light orange, mirror accents, a white Caesar stone bar top with chocolate leather barstools. Our bar specializes in Pisco and also offers a robust selection of contemporary, classic and original cocktails including an international wine list with more than 25 vintages to choose from.

Diner Reviews
  • "My husband made reservation for my b-day dinner. I impressed the good quality of food and service. However, environment was pretty noisy. Thank you!"

  • "Puerto 27 is a great addition to the Coastal dining scene. Delicious Pisco cocktails are featured and interesting Peruvian cuisine is offered from the folks behind the Fresca restaurants in SF. Lots of fresh seafood and plenty of vibrant flavors. You can make a meal of the small plates or enjoy a good selection of entrees from fish, chicken, beef, pork and duck. Great food and ocean views make this place a winner!"

  • "I have had mixed experiences at Puerto 27. They were on a good roll for a few months but things from service to availability of wines to food quality haven't been up to par the past few times we have been there. I'll be putting this place on the shelf for a few months before I go back."

  • "The owner has done a brilliant job restoring and remodeling this establishment. It is a wonderful venue now. The old Pacifica Beach House Restaurant was a horrible experience when we dined there a few years ago. We never went back. WE will certainly be back to Puerto 27!"

  • "Puerto 27 hopefully will continue to be a great restaurant in Pacifica but the signs of slipping are already there. Right now the food is still good, the Pesco Sours are still very potent and the service is, well, efficient. On this trip we ordered a number of small plates as well as one of our small group ordered a regular entree and asked that it come out soon after the first of the small plates came out. It was the last thing to arrive at the table, arriving well after the last of the small plates had been finished. The small plates did not come out anywhere close to the order we asked for. The food itself was fine but it lacked flair; at these prices it should be special."

  • "We are totally subscribed fans, come often and drive from SF for their pisco sour. Worth the gas spent, word. Food is also very good, particularly seviches. I usually go for choritos (muscles and chorizo in the yummy broth), and this time I tried raw tuna with the passionflower sauce - almost licked the plate clean. Place is somewhat low-key but is very popular, always have lively atmosphere, it is combination of sports bar and suits romantic dinners as well because they have wall of windows overlooking the ocean... see your waves crushing and sip your pisco..dream........"

  • "A friend recommended this restaurant and mentioned its one of the best places to go in Pacifica. He was right. I've been there for date night, and two family gatherings. The place is perfect for any situation. It's super popular so I definitely recommend making reservations. I recall the wait on a Friday night being two hours."

  • "We have been to this restaurant 4 times now. We have tried different dishes each time and have enjoyed them all. I recommend you stop by and check them out."

  • "The food was very good, my wife is from Peru and really liked the Lomo Saltado. I had the Pollo A La Brasa which was also very good. Our server was friendly, helpful and there when you wanted her to be. The view is spectacular, you aren't right on the beach, but nothing blocks your view as you are well above the road. It is less expensive than that "other" Peruvian restaurant 10 miles south, if not quite as good."

  • "If you are looking for a place that serves authentic Peruvian dishes and Pisco sours that are beyond delicious; Puerto 27 is for you. Try one of there tantalizing entrées or order a tapas style flight of appetizers. Whatever you choose you won't be disappointed!"

  • "Great food, even better scenic view! Get here before sunset to truly take in the wonderful scenery."

  • "Peruvian menu was diverse and delightful. Met old friends and we worked our way through the ceviche and starters. Food was interesting and tasty, server was attentive and took time to describe the menu items. Wine list, while not extensive, complemented the food well. Gorgeous ocean view justified our choice of an early dinner, giving us time to enjoy the sunset. A little out of the way, but not hard to get to. Highly recommended."

  • "Great view, attentive & enthusiastic service. The ceviche & the whole trout was delicious."

  • "I've been here quiet a few times. This last time, I was rather disappointed. My guest and I ordered appetizers and between the two we found 3 hairs in it and once we received our main courses, I found a piece of hair in my food. Our server we didn't see much of, we saw more of the busier. I hope next time they step their service up and check their plates before they serve food with hair on it."

  • "This was out fourth trip to Puerto 27, and it seems to get better with each visit. The service was excellent, the food served fast and hot, and the deserts to die for. We limited ourselves to some ahi tuna ceviche, and two appetizers, the tequenos (incredible!), and the fried mixed seafood (shrimp, scallops, calamari, etc). We also had the chocolate lava cake and it was worth the rather long wait. Prices are a little steep for the portions, but is definitely woth a splurge every so often. We WILL be back for more."

  • "Excellent food, well prepared. A bit noisy with the high ceiling, but an enjoyable experience for all. So far, best Peruvian cuisine in the area. Great view of the Pacific Ocean with the Pedro Mountain backdrop to the south. Excellent Pisco drinks. Attentive wait staff who understood the menu and made some excellent suggestions."

  • "If you like Pisco Sours, THIS is the place for you! From a dozen different variations listed, we stayed with the excellentPisco Classico. Both my husband & I started with ceviche - again, the classic one - very good, but not the best we've ever had & quite expensive for the amount we were served. My husband's entree was the Loma Saltado, one of Puerto 27's signature dishes, which was first-class. I had a vegetarian vegetable/quinoa dish that was deliciou,s & we finished the meal with the flan, infused with Pisco. Different & tasty. This was our first visit & we'll be back soon. Service - exceptional. Only criticism: glass of chardonnay was a skimpy pour for $12. Should have had another Pisco - much more value and more enjoyable for $10."

  • "Celebrated my husband's birthday with dinner and pisco sours. Good tasty piscos and delicious food. We had two causas to start , both tasty and fresh. Followed that with trout and paella, both deliciously prepared and the paella was stock full of clams, mussels, shrimp and calamari. Got a a special dessert in the house, which was a nice touch. Weeknight so not too jammed with people and the service was good. Last time we came the service was good as well and the place was packed. Totally fogged in, so no viewing of the sunset, but I just love this place. A little pricey, but every Peruvian reataurant I have been to seems to be that way. We will return again and again."

  • "The food was original and and really, really good! It is wonderful to have an excellent restaurant in Pacifica! The Peruvian drinks are great fun-I want to try a different one every time I come here. The dining room is quite noisy-all the surfaces are hard, and sound just booms around and echoes. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and willing to explain the menu. Our waiter even brought dishes to our table so we could see what they looked like before we ordered. My husband hates cilantro, which was in many of the dishes, but the chef left it out of our food without making the flavors bland. The sauces/broths were spicy, but bursting with flavor, not just burn. We already have a favorite-the trout appetizer was the best!"

  • "Fine food and service. A sports bar, not okay, I expect, during big games. We went for brunch on a rainy Sunday, very quiet and lovely. We'll go again."

  • "Worst service in recent memory. Service by committee, no one in charge. Who was our waiter??? 30 minutes to take the drink order, several mistakes on the order and the bill! Great food, but don't show up starved or in a hurry. Reviews have been consistent. You would think they would fix this."

  • "I was not disappointed. I have been back 3 times this month. Once for happy hour which has a bar menu and cocktails for $7. My favorites are the ceviche sampler, chorizo mussels, causa, steak, and the paella is the BOMB. Food is fab and can't beat the ocean views."

  • "Our party of four people arrived on time for our reservation and were promptly seated at a corner table near the front window. A beautiful view."

  • "This place has gone downhill from the last time I was there, which was about a year ago. My husband dish black salt, and mine just like general flavor. My salad had one tomato, and the rest was mostly frise lettuce, and some of it had turned brown. The service was really good and attentive. However, the food was lackluster. That yucca Frita and ceviches were the only delicious thing on the menu."

  • "Well, we waited for a while to see the reviews for this place. When we finally decided to give it a try it was very busy, a good sign? Lets just say this, the food was fair, and the service was extremely slow. If you enjoy a good cup of coffee after your meal, don't come here. I think they use the same grounds over and over, it was terrible."

  • "We had dinner here on Valentine's Day. The soup was not even warm. We ordered a medium well Filet Mignon and they gave us medium rare, blood came out when I sliced the meat. The dessert is similar to the lava cake that you can buy at Trader Joes. I'm not too impress with the long wait for the food. The customer next to me complained about the service. Other than that, ambiance is great!"

  • "Food was excellent, Service was OUTSTANDING!!! They are mindful of you but not in the way where they are in your face every minute asking how's the food, can i get you anything, etc!"

  • "Love this place everything we ordered was delicious can't wait to go back. It's a lil pricey but that maybe be because you wanna try every drink and food item on the menu. Definatly try this place out doesn't matter what you order it will be amazing."

  • "Went here for the V Day dinner. The restaurant was not full when we were seated, and the workers were still setting up. Took 15 mins to get our order in from the prix fixe menu (appetizer bite, 4 choices for 1st course, 3 for main, dessert). Over an hour later, the server tried dropping our main dishes, even though we hadn't received the appetizer nor 1st course. Service was extremely disorganized. A table next to us was finishing the main course when a server tried to drop a 1st course (happened multiple times). The food was terrible. Clam chowder had zero clams, fish was overcooked, rack of lamb looked like it was carved by a 1st grader, lava cake had no lava, ice cream was soft serve and had a canned pirouette in it. Never going back."

  • "We probably drove by this restaurant at least 100 times and always said "we have to go there one day" but never did...until last weekend. I took my wife and my 8 month old daughter here for Valentine's Day. I was a little disappointed to find out when we got there that they were only offering the pre fix menu because I wanted to try some of the dishes that were recommended on Yelp, but I was pleasantly surprised by the end of our meal. I had the Chupe de Concha (Peruvian clam chowder) and the Vaca (filet mignon). Both were the best I'd ever tasted and I wouldn't mind eating them every single night for the rest of my life! My wife had the Causa (spicy tuna and crab salad) and the Lenguado (halibut). Again, both dishes were very tasty."

  • "I drove my fiancé up here for valentines day dinner. The place was bustling and we were seated in a timely manner. However, we waited almost ten minutes without any waiter or drinks. I hopped up and notified the women at the front table and our waiter showed up in the next two minutes. Our order was taken and our drinks came. However, we were overlooked for the appetizer everyone else received. The second and main courses were great, but the service was poorly coordinated. I understand they were very busy, but our whole section of the restaraunt was being forced to wait for long periods of time and then initiate the next steps. The restaurant needs to get their act together on service."

  • "We've been here several times since the restaurant opened. Even when it is crowded, the service is good. The food is interesting and is mostly small plates - all yummy. The cocktail selection changes frequently and the list is quite imaginative. We've enjoyed every one we've tried. The ocean view can't be beat. The room does get noisy when the restaurant is busy to the point where conversation is difficult, so we try to go early-ish. It is a great addition to coastside and to Pacifica."

  • "The pisco sours are great! We've been there several times and have tried most of the items. The ceviche is outstanding and the lomo saltado is tasty. One problem is that it's extremely noisy. Can't beat the view!"

  • "I like your pisco drinks, everything I have tried there was great, been there 3 times. The waitress/waiter's are very informative of what goes into each dish."

  • "The food is awesome ... we ate our dishes family style so that we could taste various dishes and every single one was awesome. The only reason I left one star out was that the don't really have a kids menu. Our waiter said the kids menu consisted of Mac & Cheese and the Lomo Saltado. Not much of a selection for 3 kids at our table. If they could work on offering kids more choices, I would definitely be here more often. Until then, it would have to wait until date-night and unfortunately that doesn't come to often. Love this place!"

  • "Different is good, love the drinks. The food was very food, flavorful. The server was excellent."

  • "The food is nothing to write home about and very over-priced. Many of the dishes were best described as swimming in wetness. I was either underwhelmed or flat-out disappointed with the dishes. The waiter was as slow as molasses, not helpful when asking questions about a dish, and uncaring when a dish served to 5 adults is taken back untouched. I chose this place because the reviews were good and the location was nice. But it was not worth the money and I left wanting something more in my belly. Had the prices been halved I would have felt I was getting what I paid for. At the current charges I felt very cheated wanting home made delicious food and getting diner line cook meals instead that were bland when they should have been flavorful. C-"
