A word from Puckett’s Historic Downtown Franklin
A little history…
Have you ever walked into a place, and you instantly feel at home? Well, Puckett's Grocery and Restaurant is that sort of place. Founded in the 1950s, Puckett's served as a country store to several communities in Williamson County. It has always been the place to buy some food, grab a good homemade sandwich and catch up on the day's events in the world and at home.

In 2004, Puckett's opened in Historic Downtown Franklin, and now in 2010, Downtown Nashville as well.

Southern breakfasts with local, organic eggs, award winning burgers, plate lunches, fresh salads, cherry wood smoked BBQ pulled pork and ribs, and homemade desserts, make every meal memorable.

Add live entertainment from some of Nashville's greatest artists and songwriters and you have the complete Puckett's experience!

Open at 7am every day, Puckett's invites you to come on down and see us!

Real Food, Real People, Real Fun!

Diner Reviews
  • "Were sat outside next to table with uncleared dishes that remained so for 20 mins after we sat down. That caused a ton of flies to come and constantly circle our table yet the staff seem perplexed by the fact there were a ton of flies attracted to food rotting in the sun. The also could not make one of their signature dishes, their piggy mac. Apparently they could not figure out their own cheese sauce recipe, which was apparently "very complicated" despite the fact that any idiot with cheese, cream/milk and spices can do just that. I had my chicken and waffles dropped without any syrup for 10 minutes, which having worked as a runner and server, seems ridiculous because you always drop off relevant sauces with the meal. Would never go back."

  • "And the live music of 70's rock by "Vinyl Radio" was awesome."

  • "We went on a Friday night. A great band, Vinyl Radio, was starting at 8:30. Knowing that this band typically sells out I made my reservations for 6 well over a week in advance. We got there right on time and were seated immediately. We had one more person join us and they were very accommodating. They brought and extra chair and made our table bigger. They said they were not taking walk-ins that night because the place was completely sold out. However, we there were two tables that sat empty the entire night because of no-shows. They need to address that so they're not turning people away. The service was a little slow, but we weren't in a hurry. Good food, big portions. Cold beer. The music was just right. Easy parking. Great location!!"

  • "We enjoyed our evening at Puckett's. The food was good as was the service. The staff was great! The noise level was good even with the band performing. Best of all was the music. We have music in Memphis but enjoyed the band and look forward to coming again next time we are in Franklin."

  • "Upon arrival, (we were a few minutes early), the hostess greeted us and I told her we had reservations. She looked at her computer screen and said, "oh, he has seated another group at your table". She talked with the manager and he told her to seat us in another spot. She took us to the back of the resteraunt, behind a pole, and said here you are. I said I had made the reservation several days in advance and that could we have another one of the empty tables closer to the front, she said we wait outside 20 minutes and then have the table by the kitchen door which was busy. We chose to stay at the back table. The tables near the front remaind empty all night. It put a damper on our night but the food, service, and show were very good."

  • "Puckett's has always been a fave of mine--but I met a friend from VA who had never experienced a place so charming. She absolutely loved it! Our waiter, Tyler, was extremely friendly and provided great service. The experience exemplified the small town southern charm that I wanted my friend to experience!"

  • "My wife and I bought a condo in the Nashville area over the weekend. After the dinner and the show I turned to my wife and said this is why we buy a condo in the Nashville area and not at the beach. We've been to Nashville three times and each time we have gone to Franklin. We have been the Pucketts twice. The night was outstanding."

  • "Our reservation was for 7:45 on Friday night, booked two weeks in advance. We were promptly seated. Our server, Tanya, was cheerful and charming. The tables are tightly packed but we still felt like we had enough room. The food was great. We definitely enjoyed the smoked bones appetizer and the southern fried chicken for dinner. We topped off our dinner with Nana's Cobbler, a wonderful, warm apple and dough concoction with vanilla bean ice cream. The band, The Bicho Brothers, was super and we had a blast! If you're planning a visit to Franklin, book your reservation early and stay for the show. Dinner for 2 with a shared appetizer, two beers, two glasses of wine and the Friday night show fee was $100 before tip."

  • "This is a great venue in downtown Franklin and you never know who you will see! The food is fabulous and it is a great place to show-off all Nashville and Middle Tennessee has to offer!"
    Dined on 6/19/2014
  • "This is the first time I've been to this specific location, and while the food was great, a wide selection of various southern comfort foods and drinks, it was crazy loud. Because of the live band, my date and I could not hear ourselves talk, and our waitress even had a hard time understanding us. I wouldn't have minded had we gone for the purpose of seeing a live band on a weekend night, but we were there specifically for dinner on a Tuesday night, at 7:30. While I would go back, the level of loudness made the experience pretty disappointing."

  • "I ordered their special for the night, Belly Up. Per the description it was two belgian waffles topped with an omelet and pork belly. It was a beautiful dish, but that's where my love of this dish stopped. Once the obligatory foodie pictures were taken and posted I started digging in. My first deflation came when I had to saw through the pork belly. It was the consistency of an overcooked pork chop. I just kept going, adding in a piece of omelet and cut through the rubbery waffle. Now, please understand I was the first person seated for dinner. Every ounce of attention should've been given to my plate. I talked with the server, who didn't know what pork belly was and then educated the manager of proper prep of pork belly."

  • "I have been amorous about trying this venue for sometime; for fathers day I resolved to proceed there with family. The food was trendy and priced accordingly, the service was mediocre."

  • "This was a special evening for my wife and I, as we were taking our daughter and her fiance to hear "The ConSoulers", a band we have hired for their reception. We had requested a table near the band. When we arrived the place was packer, but there on the front row as our table waiting for us. They treated us as if we were the only customers in the restaurant. Sound system was excellent. 'the ConSoulers", superb as always. Beer was excellent. Food..clean plate clubs all around."

  • "We have been going here for years and have never been disappointed in the food, the service or the awesome live music. Up and coming artists from the area as well as established song writers and musicians regularly grace the intimate stage with a signature "up close and personal" ambiance and lots of original songs that are already hits or on their way to the charts! Very friendly staff, a variety of delicious menu choices and easy parking make this a regular stop on our trips to the Nashville area. Downtown Franklin is also fun to explore, before or after dinner!"

  • "I brought a group of Christian Mid-Life Singles to Puckett's in Franklin on Thursday, May 8th for dinner and to listen to the music of The Mood Ring. We had a wonderful night. The band, The Mood Ring, was incredible. The acoustics in the room were great! We could enjoy the music and still talk to each other. The food was delicious and delivered to us quickly and served hot. The service was so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely do this again with our group! "

  • "My parents visited Nashville for the first time this past weekend. I made a reservation at Puckett's in advance because it is my favorite. I made the request that we have table fit for my Mom's service dog. Everything was taken care of when we arrived and the evening was spectacular. Our service was great! They really enjoyed their visit to Puckett's. It was a highlight of the trip. Thank you for making it a night to remember."

  • "A shaky start--they were OUT of the Pinot Grigio (36/bottle); the only choice--a 65/bottle! But, here's the good part. I told our server we'd take a Chardonnay with price comparable to Pinot (30/bottle). But she went to her manager anyway--manager comped the difference between wines so we got a bottle of 65.00 wine for 36.00, getting a Pinot Grigio as requested! And our server got a very generous tip! The show was well worth the 12.00 cover charge! Food was terrific--try the smoked chicken--our server recommended it and she was so right!"

  • "We have been living in Franklin for the last 2 years and this is definitely our favorite place. Not only the food and the service are really good, the place itself worth going. It's particular and fabulous. Further more, it is located in downtown Franklin, a beautiful place to visit and take a walk."

  • "We had out of town visitors that we took there & all of us had a great time. Food was very good (great salmon & chicken breast) & service was good & music was fabulous. A really fun place. Only possible negative side is that conversation was limited when the music was playing."

  • "One of the best entertainment venues in all of America! Small, intimate and the best Singer/Songwriters are on board to make your evening special. Arrive on time - order off a simple, yet awesome menu and have a wonderful evening."
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "My boyfriend says he has never seen three supposedly good songwriters sing such mediocre music. We laughed afterwards and said to each other, "There's a reason they don't have well-known hits." We know several groups in the north Georgia area that could rock the house and have patrons begging for more. Let us know if you'd like some names, and we'll send them to you. The good parts were the food, atmosphere, and the service. The music was terrible and definitely not worth the cover charge or our time."

  • "Tool the family to Pucketts for singer-songwriter night and it was just a blast. Great music, great food and Gina was the perfect waitress. Will be back…."

  • "We love all the Puckett's, the original in Leiper's Fork and all the "new" ones, too. They feel like a place that has always been there. The service is always great and the food never fails! And then throw in the live music! The band Vinyl Radio played the evening we went to Puckett's in Franklin and they were fantastic! The played a 2 hour set with no breaks and we could have listened for another 2 hours. We will return, again and again!"

  • "Great atmosphere and entertainment while the food was average. If you're looking for a fun way to kick off the night, this is the place to start."
    Dined on 3/28/2014
  • "To be honest , this particular visit was to hear Vinyl Radio, but what better place for this to be. The food was fantastic as usual. One of the girls in our party had never been to Pucketts before. We laughed at her so hard we cried when we saw the expression on her face when her dish arrived and she saw her "generous" portions! Our waiter was the best I have ever had. Again, no better place to have a great night""
