And what a great place to see music and eat. Very broad menu from steak to barbecue to chicken fried steak. Don't miss the fried green beans and fried green tomatoes appetizers.

Zander and Josh offered great suggestions and were both very attentive. Hubby tried chicken and waffles for the first time and really enjoyed them. After the extremely generous appetizer of grilled sausage and cheese, I elected to have the baby spinach salad with a scoop of chicken salad. Fantastic chicken salad. Some friends of mine were playing there and I could only get a reservation for one because it sold out so fast! I was nervous about going by myself but the minute I walked in the door they made me feel welcome. Offered me a seat at the bar or a table, whichever I preferred. I sat at the bar and the bar tender was really nice and took great care of me. The music was great and the food too. Very filling!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMI booked Franklin in errorI booked Franklin in error (mine of course) thinking of Liepers Fork instead, which I've been to two times (great place as well). So when I put it into the GPS and ended up in Franklin, I was surprised. When I entered the store, I was very pleased to see the atmosphere, understand the music venue Goat Hill String Band and enjoy the evening. It was fabulous and I'll be back for sure.
We also had a great service experience with Doris (German) who did a fabulous job.

The reviews did not disappoint. The location is in Historic Downtown Franklin, Tn. Our reservation through Open Table definitely was a good idea as the restaurant was completely filled. However, they had our table ready as soon as we arrived. We really enjoyed the live music competition "Rising Star." It was an added treat to hear 4 up and coming singer/songwriters. The food was good and the ambiance was perfect--exactly as described on their website. The service was very good as well.
