  • "We stopped here because of proximity to the Fox Theatre. The food was great, service was fast and they have a great menu that suited both adults and kids in our group. It's a bit crowded with no real waiting area for a table (except the bar) but otherwise perfect spot for dinner before or after a show. "

  • "Food and service is great and we really like the restaurant. Our only comment is that the tables are so close together there is no such thing as a private conversation. One quickly makes new friends!"

  • "Service was terrific. Food was tasty. Great smaller brew pub atmosphere"

  • "Due to the fact that the service was a bit off--server knew nothing about the beers on the menu, and considering that is a focal point we were worried about the food; however, the food ended up being delicious. They just need to spend some time training their staff on the menu items."

  • "This restaurant is right next to the Fox Theater so is perfect for pre-theater dining. We were seated upstairs which had a pleasant atmosphere. Both the fish and chips and shrimp and grits were excellent. Service was fast and efficient. Would definitely go back!"

  • "Although Publik is great on any night, I find myself going there before shows at the Fox. The food is great and they have a good selection of beers. I especially liked that you could make a reservation with them to ensure you get in and out to make it to your show!"

  • "Great for a meal before going next door to the Fox! The food was delicious and service was exceptional, but it is extremely noisy! (I had to take off one star overall for the noise level.)"

  • "Service was fast, had us in and out within one hour time frame before show at the Fox. Food was OK,. Grilled chicken wrap was actually ground up chicken deep fried in egg roll type wrap...hmmm not what expected. Place was crazy busy and noisy swig theater crowd."

  • "Perfect for grabbing a bite before attending Fox Theater, right next door."

  • "In a city that prides itself on its fried chicken offerings (One Eared Stag, JCT, the stalwart Colonnade, etc), I expected something equally as if not ambitious, satisfactory from Publik Draft House. I figured if PDH is bold enough to put fried chicken on their menu in Atlanta, then they've got to be giving it a good effort. Let's just say that I was disappointed. The spinach was tasty, as were the potatoes, but the chicken seemed like an afterthought: flat, hockey-puck-like patties that looked as though they may have been first pick from the McDonalds McChicken delivery topped my entree. Everyone else in my party seemed to enjoy their meal (I heard multiple times of how good the scallops were), but I can't say the same."

  • "A great place to have drinks and dinner before a show at the Fox, and easier on the wallet than Livingston, which is another nice place to have a pre-theatre meal. Publik Draft House is happy to accommodate patrons with food allergies. I have to avoid gluten for health reasons, and it can be a challenge to find safe menu options, but it wasn't an issue here. I opted for their signature burger, sans bun of course, topped with aged white cheddar cheese and avocado, and served along with a side salad. Publik makes their salad dressing in house, so it's safe for Celiacs like me. I ordered my burger medium-rare, and it was cooked exactly to my liking. Absolutely delicious! (So are the mussels!) Bonus - the bartenders mix excellent cocktails!"

  • "We made online reservations for publik draft house for Friday night before going to see the Book of Mormon, when we were system, it took ten minutes to even get water. Then the hostess asked if we could be done by 7:15 because they had so many reservations! Seriously? We had reservations too and why did WE have to hurry? They cleared our table before we even finished...took our drinks away when we weren't done...basically pushed us out the door before we were ready...how rude...."

  • "We went here before a show at the Fox. They were super packed and were unable to seat us until about 10-15 minutes after our reservation time. Service was great as they have a good system with lots of kitchen runners. We ordered the shrimp and grits - spicy but excellent. Also the mussels were fabulous, but might be a slightly small order for the $16 price. Wine prices were good and you can't beat eating so close to the Fox. Would return again!"

  • "Four of us dined pre-theatre at the Fox and all of us really enjoyed our meals. The place was packed and everyone had to get out before the theatre began; the wait staff and kitchen were superb in understanding everyone's needs. I presume they are used to it since they are right next to the theatre -- but I think they deserve praise for their great performance."

  • "Great food. They handled the theater crowd with great efficiency and courtesy. Definitely make a reservation if you're dining before a show."

  • "Very good for downtown/midtown activities. Cozy but a bit noisy. We enjoyed it."

  • "So convenient right next door (within the building of) the Fox Theatre. We were able to eat unhurriedly despite a growing crowd and get to the Fox easily. The Caesar Salad was good but didn't seem to be Caesar: not Romaine lettuce, no Parmesan cheese, no croutons, a different tasting salad dressing. The salmon added to it was delectable. Steak was extremely tender and delicious. Martinis were very good. The restaurant had run out of bread, which has an added cost, but we were warned of the necessary substitute of a potato roll if we still chose to order it."

  • "Good Ambience, good service, great location. Food only fair, though. My felafel burger was kinda gooey, altho my friend's Bacon Brie burger was very good. Brown sugar on sweet potato fries? I guess it is done, but seems wierd to me."

  • "Food was good, service was good and we made it to show at the Fox in plenty of time. Definitely get reservations as it was packed before Book of Mormon!!"

  • "I had no idea this place was here. I was searching for a restaurant near the Fox and saw this one. I had no idea what to expect. It was really cute, very busy but not obnoxious and literally it is two doors down from the Fox. Perfect for pre or post show dining. The food was great as well and the drinks menu was huge. We had a great time and will definitely go back!"

  • "Good food, drinks and wine. The biggest shrimp and very fresh! Had a great time sipping and people watching before going to the Fox. Have also been after Fox events and enjoyed these times as well."

  • "I love a good fish fry and have had them all over the country and I can honestly say this is the best fish fry I have ever eaten! Our server was also excellent and knew exactly when to come by our table. They also have an excellent selection of craft beers and the overall experience was exceptional!"

  • "It was the perfect location right by the FOX Theatre. They got us in and out with no problem so we easily made the curtain. Food was excellent, but the noise level was too much. We were upstairs and it just was too loud to be able to think."

  • "We have eaten at Publik Draft House before but weren't really satisfied this time. We had reservations for 6:30 so we could make it to Book of Mormon at 8:00. That should have been plenty of time. However, the kitchen was unprepared for the crowd. How does a restaurant literally next door to the Fox Theatre not know to expect a big crowd before a show? The food was not delivered to our table until 7:35 so we couldn't finish our meal and we canceled the desert we'd ordered. My food was undercooked and mostly cold. I think they have a good menu, with great beer selections and our server was very attentive despite having to apologize repeatedly for the slow food prep. Our particular experience the other night wasn't great, but we'd go back."

  • "Very disappointing. Made reservation for lots of time to enjoy food/drink before show at Fox. Everyone arrived on time. Tables were backed up - not Publik fault. But then walk-ins who put name on list got seated before those of us who had reservations AND we were still waiting to be seated. What's up with that? There is a reason for a reservation and it should be honored. Instead, Publik staff seated walk-ins before us and didn't care when we asked about it. We really only go because of proximity to Fox; won’t make that mistake again. There are other places close enough with better food, better staff, better everything."

  • "Although it was busy, we were seated right away with our reservation. The large windows give you a great view of the city and the great food and drinks were a perfect compliment to the view."

  • "Great little spot right by the Fox! The duck quesadillas were fabulous. The only hassle here is parking. They validate two hours at the hotel across the street but its a nightmare getting in and out of there. Try to get surface street parking or another lot and just pay the extra few bucks."

  • "Made a reservation for 4 ppl at 6pm Friday for a 7:30 Fox concert. We arrived promptly at 6pm but they didn't have a table. Said they were surprised to be so busy and many already-sitting patrons were lingering. I was expecting the worst (no dinner at all before the concert), so I was pleasantly surprised when they got us seated at around 6:30. Service from then on was prompt so we made the concert in time. Food was very good - our party had two burgers, the fried chicken and shrimp & grits. Will definitely go again for a pre-Fox dinner."

  • "I loved the relaxed feel of thhis place. I would definitely return to try more dishes. We loved our food, the walnut salad was a perfect balance of sweet & tangy. We loved the house dressing:) The burgers were melt in your mouth good. WOW!! Our waitress & the whole wait staff really came together to meet all of our needs & we will be coming back!! Thanks so much to you all :)"

  • "A nice place for people watching anytime - day or night. A wide variety of drink selections and plenty of draft beers to sample. Seated at an outside table, we enjoyed an apple walnut salad accompanied with salmon and the short rib sliders with a side of grits. That salmon accompaniment was a bit on the small side, otherwise, the salad and dressing were great. The sliders had a nice flavor and an adequate mount for a meal. The grits are always good - thicker and different than other places. Service was friendly and prompt."
