The bar is well-stocked and the patrons friendly, Food was very good and the menu is interesting. From fresh and natural fish dishes to comfort food steaks, this place has it. A little pricey, but worth it. Tucked away just outside of downtown Lockport, this is a little gem for a romantic dinner. Wait staff is terrific! Very attentive and helpful. Make a reservation and get there before the crowd hits!"

The restaurant smelled musty and was completely empty. Steaks were good, but certain veggies were obviously canned and should not have been served. This is the second time I've been here for dinner and the place was empty. I don't know how they stay in business. We won't be back."

  • "It was our anniversary and I wanted to surprise my wife with an evening that would hopefully promise a warm intimate setting with good food, a pleasing atmosphere, and warmth. Public Landing didn't disappoint. We arrived 30 minutes ahead of our reservation because I was concerned about the cold snowy weather slowing us down. We were seated right away and our waiter immediately provided us with menus while one of the servers poured our water. Within minutes he was back to take our beverage orders and brief us on the evening specials. We didn't wait long for our order to be taken. As we sipped our wine we discussed the ambience of the restaurant. Our food came out within a reasonable and everything was prepared to perfection. We will be back."

The awesome thing about this place is that you'll always get those things no matter when you go but every now and then you have the chance to make the experience extra special like the night I went. I took a date for dinner and we were seated near the window at night with a perfect view outside. It happened to be a cold and snowy night around Christmastime. There were lights on the trees, there was snow falling and on the ground, and the atmosphere could not be more perfect for a romantic dinner. The food was amazing as usual, our server was very nice and attentive, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience."
