Public House 49A Downtown TreasureWe had a lovely Mothers' Day brunch there. This restaurant is a delightful asset to the revitalization efforts in downtown Patchogue! The indoor/outdoor feature of this place, with telescoping walls of framed glass, makes it unique; and underscores the dining experience.
We were so impressed with the food that we ordered a"take-out" meal to bring home! Aside from the wonderful food, a tiny potted plant at each table was given as a gift to each Mom! Simply delightful! Our server was very attentive; and the hostess also made return visits to our table. We plan to give gift certificates to this wonderful venue as a means to encourage family and friends to try it! We had fried calamari on a bed of spicy tomato sauce, tuna tartar, and pulled pork nachos all of which were flavor-filled and satisfying. The short ribs were melt in your mouth tender with a tasty sauce over creamy mashed potatoes. The apple crisp with ice cream was a nice finish to the meal. Ambience trendy and cute! Have outdoor din ing in summer on main street in Patchogue.
