A word from Psari
At Psari our specialty is fresh and delicious seafood with a Greek twist. "Psari" is Greek for "fish" and that simple word is the inspiration behind our menu. We serve a variety of fresh whole fish daily including red snapper, black sea bass and porgy. For the carnivores among you, we offer juicy porterhouse steak, tasty lamb chops and flavorful grilled chicken.

Psari offers a full bar and an international wine list with selections that pair perfectly with our menu. We feature a newly-renovated setting that is both comfortable and chic; the atmosphere is casual and our friendly and inviting staff will make you feel like family.

Diner Reviews
  • "We have eaten at many Greek restaurants but this restaurant was by far at the bottom of our list. The restaurant served plenty of food but the quality in terms of taste was very poor. Based on the reviews we read on Open Table, we had higher expectations. We would not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a good Greek restaurant in Astoria, Queens."

  • "I was happily surprised how good the food and service was. I typically check reviews before trying a new place but didn't really have time. Try the seafood platter!"

  • "My husband and I have been to the restaurant a couple of times. The first time we Loved it however this time it was so so. My husband ordered his usual (the fried platter) which is a large serving for the price. I decided to venture out and try something new, the boiler seafood platter with the lobster tail. When the servicer brought out my platter, I was speechless. I would have gotten more food at Joe's Crab Shack. The lobster was a petite size cut in half. The so called crab stuffing in the clam and shrimp didn't agree with my stomach. It was more stuffing with a mixture of seasoning that did not help matters any. So if we return, I will stick with what I know, oysters, salad, and the fried seafood platter. I can't go wrong with that."

  • "We were pleasantly surprised to find this neighborhood spot was a great place for seafood. The portions were very generous, especially the seafood platter with baked clams, lobster, lobster tail, scallops, and crab. Servers were friendly and accomodating and a nice ambiance."

  • "Went there for lunch with 5 people- no one was very thrilled with the food or service- the worst were the crabcakes which were deep fried oily patties. Inexcusable for a restaurant with a good reputation. I gace it 3 and not 1 or 2 stars as a deference to the fact that my experience may have been an anamoly."

  • "My wife and I enjoyed 2 dozen oysters and two glasses of exquisite white wine while dining outdoors on a crisp September afternoon at Psari. We were using a Grupon or NY for Two promotion, and this was our first time there. As is the case with many of these promotions, I expected the restaurant to substitute the wine for their crappiest house wine so save on the promotion. Instead, the waitress at Psari served us very healthy glasses of excellent wine. As we finished off our oysters, two women who were regulars suggested that we also try the grilled octopus since, they insisted, "it was just how they make it in Greece!" Who were we to resist? It was delicious. Truly the best grilled octopus We've ever had."
