  • "Quite often, the bread and water service does not garner many comments. The service we received is worthy of recognition. The young man who served us is a student at ASU's School of Sustainability. I regret that I don't remember his name, however, there can't be two servers who match that description. He was very personable and engaging. The homemade bread is "to die for". Worth the trip. Free valet parking at the hotel is a great touch, now that the City of Phoenix has changed the on-street parking meter rules."

  • "Unfortunately, the food was sub par, and though it wasn't busy at all, our orders were not correct and took a long time. Sadly, an over all disappointing experience. Not what I would expect with the Westin Hotel."

  • "PROVINCE, from the Latin provincia - a conquered territory & they conquered the fine art of culinary expression & enjoyable dining! Our reservation was at 5PM, very early due to a concert. Lori, our server was very attentive & was knowledgably of the menu. The Assistant Mng, Dragan Joksimovic was conversant about their wine offerings. He helped us to pair our meal with an excellent 2009 GLot, Pinot Noir by Luca. Great people elevate the dining experience & you will find that here. As a lifelong foodie, I am always analyzing the composition of my meals & love it when it all comes together as nicely as Province. I will make this my favorite for downtown Phoenix. Cheers. • "Simply my favorite Sunday Brunch spot. One day I will try lunch or maybe a relaxing girl's night out."

  • "We came here for brunch with friends who were visiting from out of town. We also had a travel zoo deal that came with two entrees, two mimoas and two coffee/juices. the food was plated well and tasted great!"

  • "This restaurants décor ranks right along with the top dining places in America as it is modern, clean, inviting and beautiful. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive to your every need. My wife started with the Tortilla Soup which she enjoyed thoroughly and then for the entrée she ordered the Chili Dusted Shrimp that was filling and delicious with not a problem. I started with the Caesar salad which was above average and very tasty and I moved on to the Steak and Fries which was a New York strip with a béarnaise sauce that is to die for. The fries were seasoned perfectly and were crunchy and hot, just the way I like them. Prices are a little high but, well worth coming here for dinner and you will not be disappointed."

  • "Service was poor, and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Glassware was cloudy and food was unremarkable."

  • "We came in for brunch and didn't know it was in the Westin. The food was pretty good and cheap, but I don't like eating with hotel guests having their morning coffee unless I'm on vacation. Not a packed, happening spot."

  • "Looking for somewhere new to go and found Province on OpenTable's list of top rated restaurants. The 4 of us had several appetizers, each had a different entree and dessert, all were very good. Our waiter was very knowledgable about everything on the menu and made great suggestions. It was a quiet Saturday night, but just what we were looking for, we wanted to share dinner with good friends and not be rushed. The menu is rather small, but still a good variety. They make their own potato chips for an appetizer, which may sound weird, but were great!"

  • "This bar/restaurant is a great spot in downtown Phoenix. Good prices for Happy Hour, get in early it goes til 5:30. Staff is friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and well presented. Dragon, manager extraordinaire was attentive and personable."

  • "Good food, great location! We went got an early dinner and had quick and attentive service. I would NOT recommend trying the chocolate cake is it was very dry - big disappointment! All in all, I would fine at Province again. "

  • "The food and service here was superb. Never have I had such delectable crab cakes, the spinach salad was delightfully accompanied by blue cheese as well, the skewed chicken will not be soon forgotten given the chipotle side sauce and onion. Our first time to Phoenix. Can't wait to come back - we had a great visit. Thanks!"

  • "We travelled from South Dakota and came to the Province restaurant specifically to see Lena and Chris Jacome perform and we were not disappointed. The food was great and Lena and Chris were spectacular! The only thing I didn't like was people walking through the performing area. It's too bad that the Jacomes couldn't be better highlighted. "

  • "Restaurant was totally empty for dinner. Totally overpriced with small portions. Good sevice but we were the only people there. This is probably a better lunch spot from other reviews I've read. "

  • "We took my wife to Province for Mother's Day Brunch. We hadn't been there and wanted to try something new. I don't have anything really negative to report, but I was a little disappointed. The food was fine, but it was the smallest (in terms of food selections) brunch I've ever seen. My first thought when I walked in and saw 1 row of tables setup with food was "is that it??" Yup, that was it. They literally had waffles, an omelet station, and a carving station with pork and fish. Again, food tasted pretty good, just not nearly enough choices for brunch!"

  • "We were disappointed in the food selection and quality at the buffet. The buffet consisted of belgian waffles with different topping options, a made to order omelet station, pastries(which were very dry and old), fresh fruit, a salad, roasted seasonal vegetables, roasted potatoes, flounder Florentine and a roasted stuff pork loin. For dessert there were chocolate chip cookies and cupcakes(also very dry). That's it. The roast was extremely dry and over cooked and the piece of flounder that I had was under cooked. I guess I expected something a little more and better for $39/person. On the plus side--the flavors were good in the sauces, the vegetables used in the salad and roast were tasty and unique(blanch parsnip, celery root, kale)"

  • "This was our second time enjoying Mother's Day at Province. We returned because the first time was so memorable and this time did not disappoint. The unique ambiance is intimate inside and out and the food was really good. I especially enjoyed the all you can eat format and the abundant fresh fruit. The waffles and flavored butters and the made to order omelettes were so yummy. The fish Florentine was perfect, rich and creamy. Only the pastries could be improved as they lacked the buttery flakiness of true French pastries. But the mini muffins, chocolate chip cookies and the special homemade Moon Pie desert we each received more than made up for it. The staff are so friendly, helpful and professional and the price was the best in the city!"

  • "Mother's Day Brunch was really delightful. The restaurant was full, but did not feel crowded. The omelet making was a little slow, but the result was worth the wait. Nice variety, great food. Very windy day, but outside seating was still nice."

  • "Province may be the worst selection within Open Table. The staff were inattentive, to the point of being rude. The pace of service was glacial. Red wine was served cold. The food pairings were amateurish, at best. I could not be paid to return. As a hotel restaurant, my expectations were not elevated. To say that we experienced disappointment is an understatement. There were few people in the restaurant, though it is in a vibrant downtown location. Perhaps I was the last to get the word that this establishment is truly second rate."

  • "We decided to dine at Province due to it's location. We had tickets to the AZ Opera that evening and made reservations for an early dinner before the show. Food was okay, nothing to "Wow", service was good ( but there was no one there ). Okay place but we will try something else next time."

  • "Had to park at Chase garage next door for $12. Food was alright, some of it was very good. Wine was 3X more than list price but that's prob normal. I don't usually drink anything other than water at restaurants. :) Flamenco on Friday, very very good. We were able to still talk since we were seated a little ways away from the live music and dance. "

  • "Our experience was disappointing. First request was for a table near the window. The window was used to spread the buffet but other tables were available in a better area. But the hostess takes us to a table in the corner where there is a door to the outside open and the server's podium was right in front of the table she offered us. So had to ask for another table which was empty. Then online menu showed that breakfast menu was available along with the buffet. When I asked the server to bring a breakfast menu this was not received well. She started explaining that there is a restricted menu but no breakfast one and the buffet was the available meal. Did not appreciate her pushing us towards the overpriced buffet. "

  • "The food was awful and simple salads such as Caesar and spinach were like a salad from a fast food joint. The noise level with Spanish dancers made talking almost impossible. I will never return."

  • "The new farm-to-table menu at Province was well received by our party. We started with homemade chips and French onion dip and the chicken skewers. Everyone loved the appetizers. Salads and fritto misto also were very good. Basil gnocchi was the only item that was bland. The Boston cream pie dessert was also very tasty."

  • "Were staying at Westin and needed a quick meal before a concert. Sat in patio area, with 600 p.m. reservation. It was 630 p.m. before we were even recognized by a server who ultimately seemed to have better things to do than deal with us. Food was neither great nor bad. Just O.K. Patio area was attractive, as is the bar (where the service before dinner was fast and fantastic). I don't think we'd ever make a special trip to dine at this restaurant, but I guess it did work for us. Just terribly slow and rather inattentive."

  • "The ambiance is great. The restaurant has a nice outdoor area. The inside is just as nice. The food is very yummy. Ask to have the fresh squeezed orange juice if you are there for breakfast or brunch. We love tho come here for brunch on weekends"

  • "went from a coupon...local dines had to move tables...noise level from the bar was very loud. Service was just eh!. They should take pizza with salmon off the menu...not a good combo. Hostess fine, Assist mgr accommodating servers are poor. It's a business hotel, not a neighborhood place. p.s. Sangria was terrible, "Homemade" potato chips tasted like Lays Potato chips....not good. We will not go there again. Too far for not great food."

  • "We had a great time here. The ambience pretty much was the best part. Our tapa appetizer was great, and so was my husband's barramundi entree. However, my Havana Pork left something to be desired. It was a little dry, and just needed a little something else, or more sauce at least. Our service was great the whole time right up to the end (perhaps he just got really busy?). It took forever for our entrees to be cleared, to get the desert menu, and the check. Had I chosen a better entree, and the service not been lacking toward the end, I would have given it a 5."

  • "Oh my goodness. $400 for 4 people. Fixe Price menu for Valentine's Day on Feb 15? It would have been nice for either the restaurant or opentable to let me know that they would not have their regular menu and that there is a forced gratuity. We started off with a glass of sparkling wine. The waitress asked if we wanted a five ounce or 10 ounce pour, I asked for 5. When it arrived in the cordial glass it looked more like 2-3 oz. than 5 ounce but I didn't think about it. Until we got the bill and saw we had paid $10 each for that tiny pour. Still on the wine talk, my friend ordered a 10 ounce pour of cabernet, it came and was the temperature of refrigerated wine. Too chilled. When I remarked to the waitress she insisted it was not."

  • "Went here for valentines day, and specifically asked when we set the reservations to be sat on the patio. When I called to confirm the reservation, I asked again and was assured it was no problem. When we arrived the hostess was very rude and said the patio was reserved for "other people" and we could sit inside or wait. The food was good, but nothing special."

  • "We were quite impressed with our overall experience. The only disappointment was the half of a lobster tail that came with the Surf N Turf. Not only was it tiny, but we lost some of the meat because it was impossible to get out. The first table we were sat as was right across from the kitchen doors. We did ask if another table was available. They were more than accommodating and sat us on the patio at a nice corner table."

  • "The food was good but took too long to come to the table. The waiter was excellent checking on us every few minutes and ensuring our drinks were refreshed. The food was modest."

  • "Took my girlfriend here for Valentine's Day dinner. Our waitress was superb - and just about everything we ate and drank tasted pretty good. Drinks were strong, but that's a good thing. As for food recommendations, my beef short rib was tender and her lobster was perfect and steak great, too. Nice, cozy little place for a date."
