    We serve dinner in our restaurant Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 10:30pm. Saturday from 4:30 to 10:30pm. Reservations are available.

    Our Cocktail Lounge is open 11am Monday through Friday until closing. Opening on Saturday at 4:30pm until closing.

    Patio Dining is seasonal & offered during normal serving hours. Off-premise dining is offered from our house menu during normal serving hours.

    Open on Sunday for Private Parties Only.

  • "We decided last minute to go to this restaurant, and made our reservation through Open Table. Our waitress was great and explained the specials very well. The food was really delicious, and fresh! We especially liked the option to order the small plates for our elderly parent. Wine list and specialty drink lists were also good. We entered through the side entrance, which we saw was the banquet entrance. So, we walked back outside and around to the front restaurant entrance. We later learned we could have walked through the banquet side in to the restaurant. It was not clearly defined. The owner/manager asked us how our meals were and thanked us, as we walked out. Overall, a nice local place with great food."

When I complimented the Lobster Bisque, our waitress asked the chef about ingredients and passed along the praise. Everything was delicious and although a bit pricey, well worth it!   • "I'm quite disappointed with my overall experience at Protocol. We were not seated until at least thirty minutes after our reservation time, they were out of some of the listed specials (and wanted to charge almost $30 for substitution). The server was very pleasant, but was obviously stretched too thin among tables. The food was mediocre, oversalted, and overpriced for the tiny portion. Needless to say I won't be returning. Not what I expected from a well established fine dining restaurant."

  • "Had dinner at Protocol on a recent Thursday evening. I was celebrating my birthday with two friends. The place was pretty quiet that night. We all had soup to start; two had the seafood, one had the French Onion. We both enjoyed the seafood very much, companion said the French Onion was a bit bland. Entrees included Scallops, which were greatly enjoyed, grilled halibut with Hoisin Glaze, which was delicious, and the filet and shrimp small plate, which was generous, and also well~enjoyed. Will definitely come here again for their seafood. Service at the bar and our table were both outstanding. Enjoyed our complimentary Prosecco brought by our server for my birthday! Would definitely recommend."

  • "Always enjoy dining here - Paul, the owner, is very friendly and the staff is very knowledgeable about ingredients and food preparations. It's our go-to place for seafood - very fresh and you can choose your toppings. It was a really cold night and the homemade soups were delicious too! My husband loves the baby back ribs; I'm sure anything you'll order here will be delightful!"

  • "We went to the Protocol for an early New Years celebration. We had early reservations so we had no problems. Served quickly, food was great. Will go back again soon.Our server was very attentive and concious of our needs. The only complaint was parking. Not enough handicap parking and not being able to use side door for entry, had to walk around front of building. A long walk for someone with a handicap. When a banquet is also going on not enough general parking and a door only for banquets seems a bit uncaring of their dining patrons."

  • "The fish was fresh. The claims, were very good, and were not dried out . We actually ordered a second order. The food was very good overall. However, it is too dark inside. The waitress was good, not great, but was around when you needed her, but not totally on top of her game, there. The food runner, or expo as they are called was useless. She had a hard time filling our water, could hardly get 2 words out of her mouth that made sense, and when we asked for a second order of clams, she said we couldn't have them. Maybe she didn't understand us. But , it hard to make money if you can't sell your food. Maybe she didn't like us, ( I think that was the real problem), but maybe it is best not to show it so that you can feel it. Try it any ways."

  • "We were here for Mother's Day brunch. I thought the price was a little high but when I saw the extensive food selections I could understand why. Service was great. Unlimited mimosa's, coffee, water, 2 desert tables, omlet station, waffle station, carving station and ice cream station. Breakfast and lunch/dinner buffet selections, salad bar and yogurt bar. Couldn't have been more pleased, food was excellent!!"

  • "Started with the sampler platter, had a good assortment of flavours; each of us found one item that we really enjoyed, but all good (I like strong flavours, so really liked the clams and the stuffed banana pepper). For the main, I had seared scallops with lobster beurre blanc -- large, perfect scallops and a rich, very tasty sauce. Wife had seafood chowder... Very nice Manhattan style, chunky with a variety of seafood morsels, all with nice flavour and texture. Daughter had lobster mac & cheese; delicious! Wife and daughter had nice gelatos for dessert. I had the Protocol: a moist, dense, and dark flourless chocolate cake with very deep cocoa flavour (wow). Service was excellent... Friendly, attentive, efficient. Will definitely return."

  • "The atmosphere was appropriate for Valentine's Day - dark and intimate. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The portion size of the Small Plates section was perfect. I had the Petite Filet & Shrimp. My husband had the Scallops & Lobster Buerre Blanc and took home three of the scallops for dinner the next night. Service was good and friendly. Since it was my husband's birthday and I made mention of it on the OPEN TABLE reservation, we were served champaigne prior to our dinner. The only negative was that it was hard to read the menu because of how dark it was at our table."

  • "Our food and service was very good. the only thing that I was a little disappointed in was that the on line menu I got from their website had items on it there were not on the menu - Chicken Picatta and filet and scallops - both my husband I were looking forward to having them. I mentioned this to our server - Savannah - and she said she would see if the chef could prepare them for us. I told her it was okay and we ordered other items which were excellent. Everyone at our table was very satisfied with the meal and service and we will be going back again."

  • "It was New Years Eve and we wanted to have a nice quiet relaxing dinner. We walked in the front door and we had reservations.It took the hostess sometime to get up from the bar and acknowledge us.The waitress escorted us to a table for two at the furthest end of the banquet room. They apparently had opened up the banquet room for more space for dinner guests because the Protocol is a smaller restaurant. The service was very very slow, took forever to take our drink order and even longer to get water. When the food finally came it was good. The waitress we had was very pleasant and apologized for the inconvenience, but she had most of the tables by herself.There was a DJ playing music rather loud and inappropiate for this type of restaurant"

  • "We used open table as a last minute decision to go to out. I had eaten at Protocol before and it was pretty good. But this time may have been too close to the holidays. Their entrance is confusing and they make you walk around the building the front side of the building. We had a drink at the bar and the bartender was friendly and attentive. $16 for a glass of red and a Dewar's and soda. But, the main dining room had several large parties so it was very noisy. They wanted to seat us next to a boisterous party of 10, and we asked for a quieter table for 2. She set up another table, we sat down, and then they seated another even louder party of 10. We got up and left. Not the spot for an intimate dinner for 2.They try to cram it too full"

  • "Some people think the decor is very dated and while it is not particularly fancy or ultra modern it is clean and functional. Tables are not "lined up " as in some upscale restaurants and each table of diners has some sense of privacy. The menu however is up to date and the coconut shrimp appetizer was one of the best we have had(we order the coconut shrimp wherever available). The jambalaya was very tasty and the lobster mac and cheese was excellent, although maybe a little short on lobster. While the restaurant was almost full with the lunch hour working crowd(this is a good sign) service was efficient and speedy. We were in and out in about 1/2 hour."

Saw Protocol on Open Table, and decided to give it a try. I had the Horseradish Salmon and it was excellent and everyone was very pleasantly surprised with great food.   • "A spur of the moment find - we were pleasantly surprised. Wait staff very knowledgable. The 5 members of our party each had a different seafood entree and all were well prepared and delicious. We ate outside and found it to be a bit noisy with traffic but not to the point of distraction. The patio was beautifully lush with flowers but the view beyond was the mall. Can't help that!"
