Had another nice dinner at Proof. The menu hasn't changed in our trips here but is always full of solid comfort foods. We love the pretzel bites and the grilled cheese and tomato soup for appetizers. Their fried chicken and waffles is a can't miss if it's your first time.

We always enjoyed going to Proof and our last 2 visits, one was breakfast and this time for dinner we were disappointed. The view is all that it really has going for it. The service is friendly but still not up to Four Seasons standards. The menu has changed and now has fewer options. My fried chicken and waffles were tasty as was my husband's meatloaf. Both were very filling. The cauliflower side was delicious. But our biggest "Yuck" moment was when my husband got 1/2 down on his beer to realize stuck to the inside of his glass was a long blonde hair. When the manager approached he told him showed him the hair and they did bring him a new beer but made as if it was no big deal.

  • Too expensive

The problem with this restaurant is that it is simply too expensive. $19 for a hamburger with two dollars more for fries, is simply extreme. I understand that this is part of the four seasons complex but still, the prices are absurd. The food is okay but not for the money that you are paying. However, if you have the money to spend $50 a person for comfort food, then this is your place.

The food was mediocre. The waiter didn't know that Mandarin and Orange are similar and was poorly trained about the food and drink menu. Staff was defensive about the poor service. We have been to the Four Seasons in Europe and Asia and this is not up to their standards. I would never go back to this place.

Wide open and light, with a friendly atmosphere that is not pretentious (read - snooty Scottsdale) and makes you smile. Lots to take in and enjoy. The four adults were all on special eating plans & required specific preparation requests. Our server was patient, informative and accommodating. I could tell that some of the requests were not their norm and our server never hesitated or said "let me check with the Chef." He operated from - "I'll say yes and make it happen - that's how we roll here at the 4 Seasons." Friday night BbQ special, beer can chicken & chicken fingers for the kids. The dressing for my Super Kale salad was low on flavor but overall everyone enjoyed. We are definitely going back when off eating plan !!!!

Father's Day brunch at Proof was a big hit. The ambiance was balanced and the food was high quality. Sitting outside on the patio before the sun got too hot was a great way to relax and enjoy a tasty and well-prepared meal together. Our server was humorous and good at her job.

After a short discussion with the hostess as to table preference we were led to an outdoor table which was not to,our liking. We asked to be seated at a different table outside. The person escorting us needed to go back to the hostess stand to get approval for the change. After standing on the patio ten minutes she reappeared and still didn't have the answer. Finally a group of three decide we could have a table on the patio that met our needs. This is not what we expect to experience at a restaurant and especially not at a Four Seasons. We ordered the runch buffet and our wait person was attentive so I was able to upgrade the service to good from what was not a good beginning.

This place is wonderful and relaxing due more for the setting than the food. We purposely went on Father's Day because my husband loves their chocolate bacon waffles and to our dismay they are no longer on the menu. When he asked the waitress she offered to see if they could still make them for him and they did! We sat outside on the patio which is nestled in between the Pinnacle Peak mountain range. Absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. The food and coffee is good but it is pricey. The bill for 4 people with tip was almost $100.00. If you live in the area ask for the frequent flyer card which gives you a 5th entree at no charge.

This is one of our favorite spots, so it was an easy choice for my husband's birthday dinner. From start to finish, everything was perfect. Even thought it's in the Four Seasons, this isn't "fancy" dining. It's upscale comfort food done just right. The staff makes you feel special without being fussy and the menu is inventive without being pretentious. Unique appetizers, delicious desserts and interesting cocktails. Best of all, the view is to die for. Upon arriving, I told the hostess that it was my husband's bday and hoped she would relay the message to our server. Not only was a gorgeous dessert brought out with a candle, but it was on the house. Very classy. Little touches like that go a long way.

This Four Seasons take on a sports bar. Gentrified perhaps and kid friendly with all their ice cream deserts but the food is American comfort done right. This is truly finger licking good. We decided to take a "small plate" approach and their small plates (appetizers) are large enuf to easily share and in fact their duck fries (fries, cheese curds, shredded duck confit and gravy) would feed a small army. Rib bites and wings are great but don't miss the shrimp and crab lettuce wraps. They were so good we forgot all about wanting a lobster roll. Did not try the entees but if as good as the appetizers I would not worry. Its a bit remote but if yu in the area and want your comfort food with Four Seasons quality its will worth a visit.

The revamped mid level dining room at the Four Seasons Scottsdale has a friendlier interior and plenty of TVs for keeping up with playoff season: a big plus to many. The menu has some creativity and is also very family/kid friendly. The inside space is a bit noisy due to the hard finishes, and the covered and open outdoor spaces still offer nice al fresco options. The lemon ricotta pancakes on the brunch menu are good. The pop chop salad is heavy on cauliflower, but somehow works well. The veggie sandwich is served on good bread and is very filling. Drinks are generous.

Food was good but was expecting more for the price. We sat outside to eat to enjoy the great weather but it was so dark you could barely read the menu. The only lighting was a candle at your table. Don't eat outside after the sun sets if you'd like to see your dining partner's face.

First visit to Proof -recommended by a few friends. The decor is outstanding inside/out; very warm and welcoming. We sat outside on the patio and the view was incredible - sun setting right behind Pinnacle Peak. Outstanding service. The best I can say about the menu is that it was very challenging to find something we wanted. Lots of options, but not many that either sounded good, or didn't break the bank. Unusual dishes and would have like to see a few more in the "norm." May try again for a romantic dinner??

The meatloaf was amazing! The rest was OK. (I'm not a fan of "al dente" vegetables.) The view was great. The staff was too overly helpful to the point of annoying. We were asked 6 or 7 times by different servers if we were done and needed a box while we were still working on our food. I'd prefer a server dedicated to my table. Nice for a fancy date out. Definitely not a day to day type of place unless you're loaded! :)

We were excited to drive up to the Four Seasons for a great meal in a beautiful part of town. The drive as expected was spectacular. Food, service & overall experience was mediocre at best. Overpriced lobster roll & one poor excuse for cioppino. I should have known better than to order something like that as opposed to a simple, basic meal: but I was at the Four Seasons, so it had to be good, right? Fries with Lobster Roll came out warm-not hot, as did the cioppino & bread with it. 3 shrimp, 2 small pieces of fish and 5 mussels in a spicy marinara sauce is not cioppino. Do it right, or take it off the menu. We tried it, and realized that it served it purpose: to be an on site, medium priced option for folks staying at the resort.

Proof deservedly were named one of the best new Phoenix restaurants in 2013. We had lunch, brunch and dinner at Proof. The fish and chips are really nice with the fish fresh as can be (and not greasy) and the traditional malted vinegar offered. For the buffet brunch, our favourites were the peach waffle - beautiful crispy outside melt in your mouth, peach and apple French toast and the omelette. Dinner - burger was disappointing - certainly not the best as claimed: just okay. The service was awesome - very attentive to every detail but not over-brearing

There were 4 of us for dinner. Two burgers & two salads. One burger was ordered medium rare but was delivered well done. The staff graciously offered to prepare another one but the 2nd one was raw. My salad with grilled chicken was mediocre at best. The other salad was ordered with sliced steak - medium rare - but was delivered well done. We were offered free deserts and ordered sorbet. Unfortunately this sorbet was practically tasteless. The staff couldn't have been more gracious but that doesn't make up for the substandard food. All in all, a shocking experience for a Four Seasons Resort.

Another epic lunch at Proof. We sat on the outside patio which has incredible views of Pinnacle Peak and the surrounding area. I had the meatloaf sandwich with the house made kettle chips. I swear the chips were worth the price of admission alone and the sandwich had a nice roll that was lightly crisped with some bourbon glazed onions atop the meatloaf. Even better than the food was the service. Katyana (probably mispelled!) was our server and delightful as always. The only bittersweet part of the meal is the it was the last day for Graham, the General Manager. He was like family to so many guests and he will be sorely missed. So if you have never been here, what are you waiting for?

Took my daughter out for sunset dinner on her 22nd birthday with 19 year old son and wife. Sat on the patio (with space heaters on - we are Arizona wimps I admit) at sunset and were treated to spectacular views, just right friendly service and scrumptious food from the simple yet very tasted pretzel knots, duck french fries, salmon, seafood stew, 'the best' hamburger and chicken with waffles. The servers (I wish I remembered names but waitress was from Costa Rica) provided charm and warmth without being overbearing. They accommodated every request we had. Highly recommend this for views and special occasions if you are looking for a moderately casual atmosphere.
