Diner Reviews
  • "Fabulous! We sat on the terrace and ate, drank great wine and chatted for 3 hours. Menu is fit for foodies and priced appropriately. I have been here for brunch and it is the best in town! Their assorted Benedicts and Hashes are amazing"

  • "The food was fantastic and our server was attentive and accommodating. We sat outside in the corner by a tree and had some issues with flies, but once we told the staff, they quickly relocated us and re-issued our wine (a fly flew in it). I was very pleased with how they handled the situation and it ended up enhancing my experience. I would definitely eat here again. As we were leaving, the inside atmosphere looked fun as well so it would be something I would be interested in checking out."

  • "We enjoyed the atmosphere. The dinner meal was good, not great, and the desserts were not tasty at all. The bengets and almond cake were tasteless. Our server did not come back to check after the meal was served. I had to get the attention of another server to get my coffee refilled. The atmosphere is lovely."

  • "Had a wonderful outdoor dinner experience. Fresh summer menu with lots of options. Loved the tomato flatbread! Great service. that allowed us to get to an 8pm concert without feeling rushed."

  • "We try to go to Print works at least monthly, but tonight was a really off night. While we staff was very good, the food had a lot to want. Two of us had French onion soup, the broth was really watered down and generally very tasteless. I had the steak frites, usually a very dependable dish, it was cold and basically bland. They comp'd the dessert as they were out of the wine we requested and knowing the food issues. Another diner of our group had the trout and again very tasteless. While I have given 4, 5 stars in the past, I cannot now. Plus we may want a while before trying PW again."

  • "My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner. The service was excellent and our waiter even brought us a complimentary dessert which was very thoughtful. I had the mussel special and mine was very good. My husband had the scallops and was disappointed for the price point. Our salads (house and beet) were both very good."

  • "With my parents living in Durham, and our living in Charlotte, we chose Print Works Bistro as the perfect middle location for us to meet for my mom's birthday brunch. We took a substantial amount of time at brunch, based on our own leisurely pace, and never felt rushed or an inconvenience. Coffee was always refilled, and the staff was attentive, without being nosy or pushy - a delicate balance I am most often unable to find in such a setting. This will certainly be our perfect meeting ground for all future special occasions - I cannot wait to come back and try dinner!"

  • "Had family in from Texas and totally enjoyed our relaxing Sunday brunch."

  • "Truffle fries are the best! Ambiance was good except for a rather loud table of 8 near us. Service was very prompt and accomodating."

  • "As always, the food and service were excellent. I always think of Print Works first when we are celebrating a special occasion with friends. The salmon was fresh and wonderfully seasoned. Our server was attentive and efficient. Thank you and keep up the good work!"

  • "Thank goodness the food here is so fantastic, because the service really continues to be sub-par every time we go. We try to look past it but the bad service has definitely put a damper on some of our experiences there. But the food is superb, and the ambience delightful, and that is what keeps up coming back. Only wish we could have given 5 stars for service as well as food and atmosphere. Also, we went for mussel night, and they were all out! Very disappointing."

  • "Accommodating all around. Excellent food. Excellent service. Atmosphere Equals 42% TIP. Everyone Happy. We did not check the wines but I did see and know some wines by State Law do not come in as would like Callaway wine to come in fume' blanc .........."

  • "We decided to try the Print Works and were very pleased. The menu of the GVG is so tired (a menu change means the bread of the French toast has changed etc.) and we needed something new. My friend had a traditional breakfast and I had a chicken entrée... oh! but first we had the chocolate beignets for an appetizer. They were light-as-air delicious and starting out with a dessert-y appetizer was different. We can't wait to return to try the peach and blueberry crepes. The atmosphere is comfortably stylish and intimate. You don't realize it is as large as it is until you leave. Service was excellent. Parking is convenient."

  • "We arrived early for our reservation & were seated immediately. Our server was VERY dry, not talkative, but the food made up for it. My date had the salmon & it was DELICIOUS! I had the mussels & they were flavorful & tender. I would go back."

  • "Outstanding food and probably one of the best Salmon preparations I have ever had. Really enjoyed the restaurant however the loudness of the music/bar area I found to be a distraction. I had reservations but arrived early and there is really no place to sit. The small sofa and 2 chairs were being "held" for a group."

  • "I brought my wife here for her birthday. The food and service weren't horrible, but for the price things should have been better. My wife ordered a mixed green salad and asked for the dressing on the side. The waitress even repeated this back to my wife, but when the salads were brought the dressing was already added. For her entree she ordered the heirloom tomato tart which is supposed to come with crispy sweet potato chips. The chips weren't crispy and were also the size of potato chip pieces that come at the bottom of the bag. My wife loves sweet potato anything, but these chips were hardly touched. This was supposed to be a special dinner and for a place that touts itself as fine dining it simply didn't deliver."

  • "Decent food but nothing to write home about. Not busy at all when we went for lunch and they still managed to give us the wrong order :( Expensive for what it was."

  • "THE PRINT WORKS BISTRO OF GREENSBORO IS A HAVEN, A TEMPORARY ESCAPE INTO ANOTHER WORLD. WHETHER YOU ARE SEEKING A ROMANTIC REPAST OR A BREAK FROM THE MUNDANE, THE BISTRO DELIVERS! SURROUNDED BY LUSH GARDENS, THE SERVICE IS IMPECCABLE, THE MENU ECLECTIC, AND SO DELECTABLE THAT YOU'LL WANT TO COME BACK AGAIN AND AGAIN. WE WENT ON JULY 4TH FOR LUNCH AND TOOK A TOUR OF THE GARDENS AND THE HOTEL AFTERWARDS. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. THE PRICES ARE MODERATE AND WELL WORTH IT."

  • "We've been to Printworks several times, and again enjoyed a good meal. Seated right next to server station in spite of asking on reservation to not be seated near one, and restaurant only half full. Had a wonderfully attentive and helpful server. My guest enjoyed the trout, always a great choice. I had the pasta dish which was properly done with a wonderful sauce. Good place to take a wife or date for a comfortable meal in nicely decorated surroundings."

  • "Wednesday Mussels and Wine: simply perfect. The atmosphere is light and open. Noise is muffled by the drapery so that every table feels secluded and you won't have to yell to talk to your companions. The food is always spot-on, and the service is attentive and gracious. Would pay 3x the price for this experience, but Print Works is incredibly easy on the wallet. I love this restaurant."

  • "We have eaten here several times, enjoying the well-prepared, European-styled, Southern-influenced food. The breezy, long-curtained decor feels a bit self-consciously chic, but we appreciate the large windows open to outdoor gardens. Service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive. Our entrees were generously portioned, presented, and delicious--pork, salmon, and trout, each with a scrumptious side of brussels sprouts. As an appetizer we ordered the artisanal cheese and charcuterie board. Everything on it was superb, but the cheeses were offered in stingy portions and needed to be better balanced with the meats. Overall, we prefer the other Quaintance-Weaver restaurants, Green Valley Grill and Lucky 32."

  • "We enjoyed our Print Works Bistro dining-experience. Our meal was excellent and our server fantastic (Mark Henry). Love the European vibe of the restaurant. Also, such a pleasure to discover a great restaurant with staff so knowledgeable about and eager to cater to a gluten-free diet. Anticipating return visits and trying other dishes and desserts!"

  • "I love this place! Only thing was our waiter had no idea you now offered separate fryers for GF people like myself. You may want to ensure your entire staff knows this for people like me. Otherwise, it was a great experience!"

  • "Once again, Print Works is one of the most consistent dining experiences in the Triad. When making a reservation, request to be seated in Mark Henry's section. He is one of their most decorated servers and will reward you with a great experience. Especially great are the Wednesday specials with PEI mussels for $15 and 5 wines by the bottle for under $12 - live music at 7 too!"

  • "Nice, four of us celebrated my wife & my 30th wedding anniversary. I told them that in advance, yet they seated four loud obnoxious diners behind us in a very uncrowded restaurant. But after the loudmouths finished the evening was very pleasant. Food was good across the board and service was excellent."

  • "We came for our anniversary dinner. I had asked on the online reservation for a quiet table, not in the middle. We were seated perfectly! The service was wonderful and the food even better! This is the best place to order calamari, perfectly cooked! They even surprised us with a candle for our anniversary, very sweet touch! The price of our meal included appetizer, dinner, and dessert and was average for a nice dinner out. Check it out, is worth it!"

  • "I took my wife on a Wednesday for her birthday. They had live acoustic music, and the entire restaurant was just the right amount of lively. The ambiance is wonderful due to the curtains and ample lighting that makes the space feel both intimate and open. From the second we arrived we were treated like valued customers, and the service was definitely on par with the experience. Their menu is European influenced, but the flavors are all familiar enough that you would want it every day. The truffle fries were crisp, tender and perfectly seasoned. The lamb chops were like butter, and the desserts are all perfectly paired with the entrees (the creme brulee with Grand Mariner is exceptional!) We will definitely return and recommend!"

  • "We visited Printworks Bistro after a many year absence even though we are locals. We decided to "splurge" since it was our anniversary. It was moderately busy that night with a number of large tables including high school graduation gatherings. The waiter was a bit difficult to understand with a thick accent but he was exceedingly professional, polite. helpful and attentive. We had the tarragon coated scallops over rice and wilted spinach and the mountain trout prepared plain with just butter and garlic mash as my wife has dietary limitations. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. We enjoyed it. We splurged on the dessert consisting of cream filled miniature beignets with chocolate sauce or honey. Not super fresh but tasty."

  • "Food was very good and in the median price range. Not a 5 star, but numerous selections available, well prepared. Very Southern in preparation, don't plan on staying on any form of calorie conservation when dining. Service was professional, but server seemed inexperienced and lacking confidence to a degree. Took approximately an hour from start to finish. Located in a very unique boutique hotel. Large patio that would be great for dining if not too hot and humid."

  • "From making reservations to dessert, our experience at Print Works Bistro was perfect. I was able to make reservations online, which is always a time saver. We had a drink at the bar while waiting for our friends to arrive. Our drinks were great as well as the atmosphere. The restaurant is nicely decorated, our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. There was just the right amount of time between courses and our food was outstanding. I had the hanger steak, done just like I enjoy it and it was delicious! All at our table said the same. We will definitely be back again. Our bill was half the amount we had just spent at Flemings a week ago."

  • "Overall we were disappointed with the food. The restaurant is very nice and it has the best out door seating. However, the food was not very good. The lamb was very fatty and looked like they just piled on peas and other veggies on top. Not very appealing. The shrimp risotto tasted aweful. I love risotto and was so disappointed by it. The beet salad was the best part of the dinner. We might try it for brunch or lunch but probably not dinner."

  • "Once again, the bistro did not disappoint. I've been there numerous times and brought a friend who had never been....needless to say, she LOVED it. Thanks for making her first experience one that she won't forget. I'll be back soon!!"

  • "We came here for our son's 31st birthday...and many of his previous birthdays! The food is always wonderful and we try something different each time. The service is friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is unbeatable."

  • "when we can sit in their outdoor dining area that overlooks a ravine with a creek. The food is always wonderful and the service matches the food. Nice wine selection, along with interesting and classic cocktails. Dining there is always an opportunity to wind down after a hectic day. However, it is also great for business lunches. It is one of my favorite places in town. "

  • "I would not recommend the restaurant. We were recommended the meatloaf dinner. It was very poor. It looked like it had been prepared days ago and was not appetizing. I had made the reservation for a group of 5 and did not want to bring it up in front of the group. We have eaten there before and had generally pleasant experiences. "
