The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. They were very attentive and made the experience very relaxing. I tried the kale salad, braised beef, and then the cookie plate. The whole meal was really good...everything seemed very fresh and we all agreed that our dishes had a lot of flavor. Our server saw me opening graduation cards and she asked if we were celebrating. I told her it was my graduation. When she brought out the other desserts, she also brought the chocolate cake with congratulations written on the plate. It was an extra special touch that really made our meal great. The menu items were so intriguing and varied that it was very hard to choose! I settled for the octopus appetizer and the crispy duck as a main dish. Both were delicious, but the chorizo in the first dish was a little dry for my taste. Overall it was a delightfully refreshing dining experience, in a pleasant atmosphere and with great service. The decor is stylish and the food is across the board excellent. It's also across the board expensive (well, this is Manhattan) and the menu and wine list are limited (I am guessing about 10 entrees and 30 wine choices). They are very good choices, just not a lot of them. Short ribs were excellent.
When, in a nearly empty restaurant, the next arriving couple is seated about 24 inches from us, I did wonder about staff training. Our appetizers were outstanding (Tuna Tatare and the Goat Cheese Gnocchi but the mains were just good. The temperature on rib eye was not as ordered and my son is not one to return things to the kitchen. My pork chop was tasty but a little on the tough side and I'm not sure that the hazel nut garnish worked in combo with everything else on the plate. I would go there again definitely. Unless you are in the neighborhood, I'm not sure if its worth the trip from the theater district. The area has light industry and car dealerships. These people know food, and know service. There are so few truly farm to table restaurants in New York, and there are so many over hyped restaurants here as well. Go to Print and you will experience what many love about Northern California cuisine. A creative mix of local flavors. The menu is full of interesting things that you want to try. Vegetarians will delight in eating here, as will carnivores. There is something delicious for everyone. And, I rarely eat desserts because they so often disappoint. Not here!

Our waitress was delightful as was the food and helped my hard to please in laws navigate the menu. We all loved our entrees will return when back in town. For dins, had the Yellowfin Tuna Tartar to start and Broccoli Rabe Ravioli with Braised Rabbit as my main. Delicious! Both were paired with excellent wine from a very nice list. I Was part of a party of 6(5 visiting from Australia) and they thought it was the best meal they had in NYC! After dessert (OMG: lemon tart!) the maitre'd took us to the rooftop bar for one of the most stunning views of Manhattan...being a jaded New Yorker of 17 years, even I was impressed.
