Despite being so far West, in a generally appealing part of town, Print restaurant is a real winner. The space is beautiful and inviting, the service was attentive and friendly, and the food was superb. This is a new favorite, and certainly on my short list of places to take visitors, friends, and family for a luxurious, truly unforgettable dining experience.

We've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. It's pretty out of the way, but when we go to a Broadway show, the walk over is perfectly fine. And we always go upstairs to rooftop bar for a drink first which is definitely pricey, but very pleasing.

  • Nice place for breakfast

We've been here a couple of times for breakfast on Sunday and the food is very good. A few suggestions: the poached eggs with veggies is good but leaving the eggs in broth rather than served on dry toast means that when you break the yolks open, the yolk runs into the broth - not really good. The French press coffee is OK but not exceptionally good enough to compensate for the fact that the individual pot gets cold quickly and can't be refreshed.

Overall we liked our dinner (food and cocktails) but we felt rushed and it was unnecessary as there were a few empty tables. Our table was cleaned before we finished to put our coats on. When you go out for a nice dinner with your spouse, it is not nice to feel like the restaurant wants you gone as soon as possible.

The restaurant is in a hotel out of the way from busy NYC streets. The valet parking was $45 for one hour...We just found our own parking. The hostess was not very friendly and she did not offer to take our coats which we stuffed in between our seats. We also called the hostess earlier to ask a question and she hung up the first time. The presentation of the food was nice but the taste was average. A lot was missing. The waiter seemed very rushed he did not take the time to take our order or drinks he just didn't want to wait or recommend but he did come by twice during the meal to ask if we needed anything same with the manager. It was just not worth the money and travel.

This is my third visit in the past few months. The was different at each visit and offers about a dozen first course choices and main courses. The food has been delicious each visit. The atmosphere is warm and inviting Despite its Eleventh Avenue location among car dealerships. Only retraction is the noise level which was very loud during two of the three visits.

Have been here before and always enjoyed the food. Also enjoyed that the restaurant was not too busy. This visit, a Sunday evening, the restaurant was jammed and we found out why. The food was outstanding. The octopus was the best we've ever had. The other dishes were superb. Rarely write such a good review but they earned it. Was glad to see that on the menu they let you know that coffee for two is nine dollars and that they charge four dollars for the tray of bread. Not sure why they do either but the food was so good these little wrinkles will not keep us away.

The food here is among the best I've had, in New York City or elsewhere. Portions were large, and the food came out quickly. Service was impeccable and we were well taken care of at every step, from the minute we walked in. While it is a bit pricey, it was very reasonable for NYC and for a special dinner. The only drawback is that the noise level can be quite high during dinnertime.

We had been there before, so when I picked it to go back, I remembered to be much better. Food is expensive for what really is. Overall we paid $200 and it wasn't worth. We were there for a romantic diner, and it was a mistake... place is loud, and waiter and maitre were coming every 2 minutes to ask if we wanted another drink, and if everything was fine... I mean, it's nice to be asked but not 3 times in 2 minutes (not over speaking! :) The maitre was nice though, is just I had the felling it wasn't very well organized.

For the neighborhood, this is a good restaurant. Getting there from anywhere else is just not worth the schlepp. All our dishes were tasty but not great. Salads were nice, soup was quite good, fish (halibut) was tasty. The best dish was the caramel dessert. Ambiance was lively and we had a good time. Its just that anywhere else, this restaurant is average. I would not go back there unless I was in that particular neighborhood. The rooftop bar at the hotel is spectacular - the views are one of a kind.

This is the fourth time I've been to Print and it is consistently excellent. The Press Room upstairs is a great place for a before-dinner drink. The restaurant itself has a knowledgeable and personable staff, attentive without being intrusive. Food and accompaniments are creative without being weird. This is my go-to restaurant for friends visiting New York. I wish it weren't QUITE so far west, but what can you do? It's worth braving the winds off the Hudson for a great meal.

I was looking for a restaurant that would be a special occasion place for my boyfriend and I on our trip to NYC. I wanted to find something that could satisfy my foodie palate but also be approachable enough for my boyfriend who has dietary restrictions and also just generally isn't into dining out. PRINT was perfect! His halibut was the best preparation of fish I have tasted, and with the pomegranates and quince, it was an incredible pairing with the bottle of Gehricke Pinot Noir we brought (although the $45 corkage fee was a little excessive in my opinion). The rabbit I had was delicious, and I appreciated having so many different entree options - it was difficult to choose. Oh, and I cannot forget their housemade bread... a must-order!

We needed a spot that was attractive, had good food, attentive/knowledgable staff, a respectable wine list, lighting that allowed you to see your dining companions and read the menu, and where we could comfortably carry on a conversation. A plus would be that other diners were not taking photos of their food. Print fit the bill to a "t".

Celebrated my husband's birthday here last night. Restaurant is pretty and our server was excellent. Our appetizers and entrees were very tasty and hot. My only gripe is the $4 extra charge for bread; this is very tacky for such a high end restaurant. I don't remember the last time we have ever paid for bread whether in Manhattan, Long Island, Miami, etc. The decibel level was pretty high and we had to scream over the other patrons to have a conversation. On the fence about returning.

The 16th Floor bar at Print is terrific and a great way to start off dinner -- but leave yourself plenty of time since waitress service in the beautiful outdoor seating area is SLOW! View of the city in one direction and the Hudson in the other is spectacular. Restaurant itself is outstanding -- great, varied farm-to-table menu, excellent wine list, thoughtful and professional service (though maybe just a little too conscientious about asking, repeatedly, how everything is -- still, attention is better than indifference!)

Had a good meal at Print. We were staying in the hotel so the location was perfect for a post-theater dinner, a little on the late side, which turned out to the bad part. They were out of several of the things that we tried to order and we were hustled as the kitchen was shutting down, which I get, but in NYC, I expected the kitchen not to close 15 mins after our reservation time...which granted was 10:45pm. Service was outstanding and as we were one of the few remaining tables, folks were swarmed us with service, but in an obnoxious way. Food was very tasty once we found something we could order. Would certainly eat there again if staying in the hotel...

The manager was the high point of the evening. Orlando was very attentive to our table, but he had to make up for our other failings. The waitress got all our drink orders wrong multiple times. Strike 1. When I made the reservation, I was told that there were vegan entrees available for dinner, but there weren't any on the menu. Strike 2. I would have picked another restaurant if they had been honest with me. My vegan guest politely asked for a side order of veggies to go with her salad - veggies that were on the menu with other entrees already, nothing new or off menu - and she said that she would pay whatever price was charged. The waitress refused and said special orders weren't allowed. Strike 3. I'm not going back.

The Ground Floor restaurant is well designed and food was excellent. The seating layout is ample enough not to feel cramped...choose a booth if possible. The food was awesome!... preparation was as requested with a lovely plating which enhanced the experience. After dinner, we decided to visit the Roof Deck to experience the outdoors and enjoy the views. This roof deck is incredibly well designed...free flowing and ample with spectacular views of the city's skyline and the Hudson River. Our overall experience was very good and would highly recommend this environment. The prices are a bit steep, so be prepared.
