Diner Reviews
  • "Print's online menu shows they offer a prix fix menu which the staff seem to be clueless about."

  • "The information we found on line painted a picture of a restaurant with both awesome decor and exceptional farm to table food. While the interior was inviting, the service was dreadful - got our simple drink order wrong, did not bring one of the three starters we ordered. When I asked for it, our server dropped some plain bread on our table in its place. Frustrating. The cobb salad was good, but not great. The shrimp was well cooked and the elements went well together. My companion had the grass-fed burger and felt that the focaccia overpowered the beef. The idea of staying for dessert was gone, and we left with an experience not worth $88.00."

  • "This was our first time dining at PRINT. and in a word...EXQUISITE! Ever aspect of the meal blended perfectly and I have been sining your praises ever since. You MUST try the Homemade Limoncello, better then what we had in Italy!"

  • "Print Restaurant in the Ink Hotel is a nice restaurant. Food was awesome. Service was so-so. Waiter arrived immediately but left after getting only one drink order. Came back to ask if we wanted bread and then it took over 20 minutes to have it served. We had to ask. Table was a super large round to accommodate the oversized chairs, it was impossible to talk to anyone other than the person immediately to your right or left. The Press Lounge upstairs is stunning. We asked our waiter for our car (Which had parked by the valet) when the check came. 15 minutes later when we left, our car wasn't there. We waited 1/2 hour for our car and then were charged $55! Wow."

  • "I recently had a business lunch at Print, and both my boss and I were in for a treat. From beginning to end, the service and food was perfect. Katrina the hostess during lunch on a Wednesday was friendly and professional. Edwin, the bartender, was also very personable. When my boss arrived, Raul, our waiter and Kristen, the manager, offered us some delicious bread with a variety of spreads. I lunched on the kale salad and vegan starter while my boss had the green salad and salmon. I've had breakfast, brunch, and lunch here. My waiter/bartender Tyrone on Sundays has become like an old friend. The cocktails at the bar are just as delicious as the dishes on the menu. A great way to spend a Sunday alone or with an entourage."

  • "Went to Print on Saturday night with some friends. Although it's in a hotel, it's in our neighborhood and we've been wanting to try it. Food was terrific, portions were ample and the service was great. We will definitely go back. Highly recommend the heirloom tomato and watermelon salad, the goat cheese gnocci, seared swordfish and the kale salad. We skipped dessert, but looked longingly at what the other diners were eating. After dinner, we went to the rooftop bar to take in the breathtaking skyline view!"

  • "We changed our booking at the last minute from the view restaurant to this and we had a perfect night. The food was outstanding as was the hospitality. The roof top bar was amazing and we got vip access after our meal, not sure if that's the norm but as I said the hospitality was amazing. The view from the roof top was amazing and I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting. Overall a fantastic place to eat and drink."

  • "Our waiter was awesome. Very attentive and even made a wine recommendation outside the wine list for home based on myour wise tastes. The food was prompt. The gnocchi was very good and the oysters were as well. The main dishes where great presentation but the cut of duck we had had a large hard fat vein in it which made half a little had to eat. A one off I'm sure as it was perfectly cooked to medium rare. The ravioli with rabbit confit was a little blan. It was good but needed a little something extra. My only big thing is that it can get loud in there. Overall it was a good experience and for the price it was very nice. We will give it another go sometime."

  • "We decided to try Print before a show on Saturday night. The waiter was knowledgeable and made quality recommendations. The food was very fresh and portions were good. We had the quail and gnocchi appetizers. Both were delicious and the gnocchi melted in my mouth. For entrees we had the duck and pistachio encrusted halibut (excellent recommendation from the waiter!). The duck was fantastic! The only drawback was that we were seated in an intimate corner of the restaurant and the hostess insisted on seating a table of 4 directly next to us even though there were plenty of other tables available. Overall, excellent experience!"

  • "A friend recommended print and I had never heard of it. We try a lit of restaurNts and this was delicious. They buy from local farms and the fish and meat is very special and superbly prepared. Great appetizers and desserts too!"

  • "From the moment we were greeted by the staff to the time we left the whole experience was great. Food excellent and fresh, and creative. don't normally order dessert, but had to see if it was as good as the rest of the meal. Perfection!!! Don't miss this happening place on 11th Ave."

  • "In the middle of the auto dealerships is this fine dining restaurant. The food is excellent and the service attentive. Prices are reasonable. As the evening goes on, the noise level picks up. The tables are also not on top of each other giving you some privacy. Nice experience."

  • "We have been here several times. It appears on our favorites list. This time they were a little off. Our reservation was for 10pm & we arrived at 10:10pm due to lack of taxis because of a sudden downpour. Our reservation was cancelled, but seated us with "gosh, you were late, but we will seat you anyway". As we were seated, she informed us "the kitchen will be closing soon". We inquired if we were able to order off the menu and she said yes, but was informing us the kitchen would close soon. Our waiter arrived and said "the bar will close soon. If you want a drink you should order; wine will be served past bar closing". We inquired about the bar upstairs and they would serve until 2am. We felt rushed. Food was excellent as usual!"

  • "This was a second trip to celebrate a girl friend's recent successes at work. It's a sophisticated, lovely, albeit out-of-the-way! restaurant. The food is excellent and the service is very professional. It's a bit hard to get to, but worth the trip. Highly recommend. Probably a lot of fun with larger groups, but also great for an intimate dinner, or small group outing. Am also a big fan of Kimpton hotels, so nice to see this Kimpton playing host to a great restaurant."

  • "We have eaten at Print several times and have found it to be a lovely asset to the neighborhood. The food is quite good and a lovely ambience. However, it is not an inexpensive place to dine, hence my complaint of charging $4.00 for bread. When you are paying over $10.00 for appetizers and entrees are $25 and over, there is no excuse for an additional charge for bread. Please rethink this!"

  • "Print got great reviews online, the Sunday brunch menu looked great online and the concierge at Marriott Marquis highly recommended it. We're fresh food eaters and farm to table lovers -- but what a disappointment! Food was just okay - the bloody mary's were extremely small and mostly water at $15 each! Hardly anyone there and the service was terrible! Our waiter couldn't remember half our drinks and it took a LONG time to receive our food. For what we ordered and received? Extremely expensive."

  • "3rd time here, not a charm. Pro: seaTed right away, nice booth, quiet, Sat night half full, food good. Con- waiter aloof- minimal recos, charges of 4$ for bread-no free choice, mixed drinks overpriced-$17, request ground pepper- brought red crushed pepper, worst...charge was over billed amount- waiter claimed mistake- redid bill, had we not picked up ? Mistake would have been overcharged. We are Locals-restaurant catering to out of town guests with overcharging and acting like we are naive to dining out. Will not go back!"

  • "This meal was the best new american cuisine that my girlfriend and I have had in a while. We started with the raw oysters and they were extremely fresh and the sauce that was served with them was simple and added a good dimension to the oysters. For dinner we got the duck breast and the pistachio crusted halibut. Everything was cooked perfectly and the accompaniments were perfect. The only part of the meal that was a bit lack luster was the dessert. The presentation was great but the tastes were not to our liking. Overall for dinner and appetizers it was perfect so I would definitely go back."

  • "This restaurant is really beautiful and a break from so many hectic Manhattan restaurants. The menu was inventive and the food was quite quite good (including dessert). The waiter seemed distracted. He was pleasant enough but service (from this one visit) could be better."

  • "We had a terrific dinner before going to the theater, including roast rabbit and Bronzino. The kale salad was the best I have ever eaten. We are not cheese cake fans but loved the Chevre cheesecake--also the portion was perfect."

  • "First go to the Press Lounge on the roof...it's the best rooftop bar in the city with spec-tac-u-lar views of the Hudson. Then head downstairs to the Print Restaurant for one of the most sumptuous meals you'll find in Manhattan. I'm afraid to write this rave review because then other people will discover it. But a good thing is worth sharing."

  • "All the dishes were delicious, well seasoned/cooked/executed. - The bread was worht $4 to order, honey butter was appetizing. - Goat cheese gnocchi was tasty and light. - Burrata was very fresh - Halibut was perfectly seasoned and portioned (very SLIGHTLY over cooked, still very good) - Rabbit was my favourite, all around goodness - Steak, duck breast and lamb chop were all delicious as well - Chocolate orange pot de creme was amazing, great end to a great meal. Will definitely come back!"

  • "We went as a group of 7 for my sister's bachelorette party. We had an amazing dinner, everything tasted wonderful and the goat cheese gnocchi were incredible! The cocktails were very tasty and our server was attentive and fun. After dinner we went upstairs to the rooftop bar and the view is amazing. A panoramic skyline view of NYC was a perfect way to end our dinner and start our night of fun. Highly recommend!"
