  • "It was a delightful evening in every way. Three of us sat outside, and had the patio to ourselves (visiting from Maine, we found the February evening plenty warm in Tucson). The server knew the menu thoroughly, and there was much of interest to choose from. The menu could be described as sort of "enlightened traditional." Sophisticated yet hearty, and thoroughly delicious. We wondered if we were going out on a limb when ordering fried artichokes (a personal favorite), as my dad was there, and it wasn't something he was used to eating -- but it was a conversion experience for him. Good wine, which we had by the quartino so that we could have some white and red, some Rhone and Chianti. Thanks to everyone."

  • "When we first arrived the service and attention was awesome. However as the meal progressed the servers were nowhere to be found. We had an awesome mussel with lobster and shrimp starter. For dinner we had scallops and shrimp - the scallops were quite nice and on their own would rate very high. The shrimp unfortunately were way over cooked and were so encrusted in black pepper it killed the dish. Gelato for dessert was awesome. All in all we would probably try again and hope we just had some bad luck."

  • "I've been a big fan of Melissa Kelly's cooking in all the years she's had the restaurant in Rockland. However here the food was appalling. It was salty overcooked meat and fish. The pizza was doughy and inedible. The desserts were excellent and the service was great but the starters and mains were shockingly bad. My dining companions all agreed and we'd all eaten in Rockland. The only saving grace were the desserts which tasted as if Price had made them and very attentive service."

  • "Primo was TERRIFIC. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and promptly seated. The service throughout the evening was excellent by Sarah, our server. She was attentive without hovering over us. The food came out quickly from the appetizer right through dessert. Portions were just right, and the selections were perfectly prepared. The wine list was as good as one would find anywhere. The desserts menu made it difficult to choose just one, and the one we chose was sinfully delicious. We could not have had a better evening."

  • "We all loved the ambiance and relaxing vibe. The menu was amazing with dishes prepared in the moment not made ahead of time. Let me just mention a few items we had. The Carciofi, crispy artichoke with parmesan cheese was wonderful and we all wanted more of that. The fresh beet salad was delicious too. We also had the shrimp and the squid ink linguine, another winner. And last but not least we had a shrimp and scallop dish over squash that was fantastic. Service was well timed and very friendly."

  • "When ever we stay at the Starr Pass Marriott my wife and I always enjoy dinner at Primo. This occasion was one in several outstanding dinning events. My wife had the special Mussels that was prepared with various chilies and asked if it could be very spicy. Without any questions the dish was prepared and was excellent. To ensure that it was prepared correctly the Chef came directly to our table to make sure that it wasn't too hot and informed us that he was able to use a Ghost Chili in the dish. The only complain from my wife was that the Mussels were a bit on the small size, but besides that the dish was great! Overall another wonderful dinning experience at Primo."

  • "Very nice restaurant for those special occasions. The staff made our dining experience enjoyable. When we were handed our menu's, my wife and I had 2 different versions. One had a stripped bass entree and the other had halibut. Our waiter gathered our menus and brought back the correct ones. I felt they could've offered a few more entree's on the menu. I believe there were only 7 options available. My wife and I had a nice, relaxing time. I'll definitely go back."

  • "In the opentable note box i explained with detail on how important was my 5th wedding anniversary dinner. That i needed something special and they just didn't know anything about it when we got to the restaurant. I mean in any other restaurant that wouldn't bother me but when you are paying triple the cost of any average restaurant in Tucson you expect nothing but the best. I ordered a NY steak medium well and it was just too dry outside and under cooked in the inside, they have hundreds of wines on a impressive list but just 5 Merlot! And i couldn't get a glass of those unbelievable. We got a table with everyone where they had like groups so not a very romantic area. Waitress brought us a special desert saved the night!!"

  • "We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary at JW Marriott Tucson in October. It was such a special evening on the terrace gazing at the magnificent Tucson scenery. Our server was so sweet. When we told her of the event, she brought us a dessert with the words Happy Anniversary written in chocolate. Our meal was excellent as was the appetizer. I had a tomato/cheese that was quite good. An event was going on on the nearby patio, so we enjoyed the music throughout the meal. It was indeed a special night.."
