Prime ItalianDelicious food & generous portions!My fiance and I visit Miami every year and even though we stay at the hotel right next to Prime Italian, we never got around to eating there. However, this time around we went on a Monday night in May and were in for a real treat. The ambiance on off nights is quiet and romantic. The food was mouth watering and the portions were HUGE! It is a bit pricey but certainly well worth it! Alot of other places in Miami are way pricier and the food doesn't even compare to the taste at Prime Italian. I can't wait to go back next year! **Be sure to make reservations because even though it was a Monday night, the only opening they had on Open Table was for 10pm. I felt comfortable there as soon as I walked in. Our waiter was informative and spoke loud enough for all of us to hear despite the background noise. We brought my 2 aunts who are Italian and fabulous cooks and they gave the food their stamp of approval. The prices are a little steep but the portions are huge and yummy! Dinners were really large so I was glad we ordered something to share. I only knew this from previous reviews the staff wasn't offering that info. Ordered the "A 5" Kobe Beef Carpaccio to start it was actually $55 not $35 as the menu suggested and it was bland for the money. The tables are really small and close together. Another waitress walked by and bumped out table so hard all of our drinks spilled, she apologized but walked away without offering to help clean it up. The man at the front desk was rude. It was a cold night and wanted to eat inside but they prefer the younger crowd outside and the older inside. Baked Rigatoni and Kobe meatball were great and more than enough for 2 people.
