  • "We had another wonderful experience at prime cut. Food is very good and we love Maurice! He gives us wonderful help and service each visit. Thanks for another great evening! Really loved the blackened sea bass special. Filet is always a good choice as well."

  • "We went for lovely lady's 92nd birthday and we were all treated royally. Service was delightful and food great."

  • "Our prime rib dinner was done perfectly and the creamed spinach along with the mashed potatoes were delicious. They served a "yorkshire pudding" but it seemed more like a delicious popover. We went overboard by getting some devilled eggs for appetizers and split the wedge salad (which was REALLY good). I saved half my dinner so I could try a dessert and I had the doughnuts with raspberry sauce. The doughnuts were't what I was expecting, but it was still good. My husband for the creme brûlée and the vanilla bean ice cream. We are looking forward for our next visit."

  • "I had their blue cheese bacon burger with no bun and it was amazing! The flavor was incredible and it was cooked just the way I like it. I definitely recommend this restaurant and the food!"

  • "We had a wonderful time. We were able to make a reservation for lunch which was nice. We were seated immediately, ordered quickly, and the food came out very quickly too. Everything was delicious. The only suggestion I have is that the wait staff should let you know in advance that most of the desserts require at least 15 minutes so you should be prepared to pre-order."

  • "Had a large group where a few people didn't show but prime cut was very accommodating, also refilled our waters all night and even gave us jugs at one point"

  • "Loved the happy hour... Great place to grab a bite and drink before heading over to watch the Ducks play."

  • "The concierge at the Marriott convention center recommended Prime Cut to us and while the taxi driver had no idea where it was, the food was excellent! We had the NY strip and the grilled shrimp and we ate every bite! Near the Honda Center where the Ducks play, it got a bit noisy after the game let out, so it's definitely not the place for quiet dinners."

  • "We only chose to eat here because we liked their menu for OC restaurant week. It was a bit of a drive and we were taking friend, so I was hoping it would be worth it. It was. The food was quite good and I would definitely eat there again.."

  • "We are all disappointed that the restaurant was not ready to serve the beef sandwich which we would like to try. The reason given to us was they were all out the night before."

  • "Great food. Have to order the roasted tomato soup, deviled eggs & marinated olives. Burgers are awesome. And they serve old fashioned hot chocolate chip cookies with milk (where else can you find that?)"

  • "We always always go to Prime Cut for lunch, its one of our fav's. However it was definitely off. I suspect there was a very large party in another room. We were seated and then waited at least 15 min for water or a serverand water who disappeared again before taking our order. Waited another 15 minutes for our food. There was one other server in the room and she was busy attending other tables but our server seemed to MIA. Food was not as good as I remember. Ordered the blue cheese burger and the Pt Reyes blue cheese was overwhelmingly strong and it just did not go with the carmelized onions. The flavors were extremely overpowering and I am not a wimp. I will be back! And the carrot cake desert was excellent, big pieces of black walnuts."

  • "We visited for the first time during OC Restaurant Week. I had the Double Chicken Sandwich and my friend had the BBQ Beef Brisket Sandwich, both served with shoestring fries. We also tried the Deviled Eggs w/bacon which were delish and for dessert, the flourless Chocolate Espresso Cake and the Carrot Cake were both yummy as well. It was all good and I would def come back. We did not have anything from the bar so I can't comment but I notice they have HH from 3p-6p so we'll be back for that."

  • "First, how can you be Prime Cut Cafe and RUN OUT OF PRIME RIB? After the first downer, everything else went well. The food was good, but nothing stood out as exceptional. Our server was friendly and helpful."

  • "A nice restaurant but a bit noisy. Service was good as was the food. Nice place to come before or after a movie or an event at the Pond."

  • "A quickie lunch with the spouse to seize upon OC Restaurant Week menu. Arrived at 11:30am to an empty restaurant to be greeted by cheery hostesses. By noon, the ambience bustled with carnivorous parties of males in shirtsleeves. Menu featured pseudo gastro pub fare at mass market chain prices. We ordered off the promo menu: deviled eggs, salad, burger and shoestring fries and carrot cake. The deviled eggs were nothing to write Ohio in the 60's about, The burger arrived raw pink all the way through, but was indeed, a generous hunk of beef appealing in stature, though grease shiny with condiments. An above average lunch experience at a reasonable price (thanks OC Restaurant Week) and given a bar of mass market restaurant chains."

  • "This is a great restaurant for value and good food. The appetizer menu is a bit thin. Stick with the complimentary foccacia bread. I ordered the Prime Cut Prime Rib, rare, with mashed potatoes and sauted spinach. The cut came out perfectly marbled and as tender as any I've had. The mashed potatoes needed no salt but were well seasoned and nice consistency. The Yorkshire pudding was great. The crab was thinner than expected and nothing to write home about. The filet, on the other hand was delicious, cooked medium rare (good call) and nicely seared. For dessert we shared a flourless molten chocolate cake, a definit keeper. Keep the Trader Vics Mai Tai (it ain't). Overall great value and a nice dinner that didn't break the bank."

  • "We arrived on time to be politely greeted and quickly seated to our table. We each had the filet medallions which were melt in your mouth scrumptious. Mine came with a large crab cake which was very good. Hers came with a pair of large seared scallops. They were good but would have been better if they had been seared on both sides instead of one. The waiter was polite and attentive. Overall, we've been here before and we'll enjoy coming back again."

  • "My fiancee and I order filet mignon combos. Our steaks were great, but her lobster was over cooked and my risotto was under cooked. The creamed spinach was good though. So overall experience was mehhh."

  • "Dine here many times before, food and service always excellent. Great wine list."

  • "Food is way over-priced. Quantities are very small. And don't even think about asking to order a small side dinner salad to a 35 dollar steak entree. You must order a regular entree salad if you want that. Ridiculous. Definitely would not consider eating here again."

  • "I've been to prime cut several times during lunch several times and decided to to go to dinner for 7bec. Of my lunch experience. Big mistake! Started at the door, told the lady at the greeting counter that we have reservations and asked if we the rest of our party was there. said, " I don't know - I just came on" So instead of finding out, she proceeded to help people behind us, stood there with my 7-year old for several minutes - all along our party was already seated. Problem with our service - our server was not attentive - often other servers were helping us - were always craning to look for him . At one point - I saw him coming out of the kitchen helping another guy carry out a beverage keg instead of attending to our needs."

  • "After not able to get into restaurants close to Anaheim convention center, found this gem on open table! Easy reservation, worth the cab ride. Excellent service, food was very good and reasonably priced. Will go back for sure. I had the prime rib as recommended by server. Was good not great. My guest has the filet minon and was excellent. Overall Very good experience."

  • "My husband and I totally enjoyed our anniversary dinner at your lovely establishment. The prime rib was absolutely delicious! One of the very best we've had. Our waitress, Mary, was very accommodating, professional, efficient, and friendly. We definitely will return... as well as recommend Prime Cut to all our friends."

  • "My wife and I went here on a whim through a random selection on Open Table. My wife had an excellent steak and enjoyed her clam chowder very much. I had a prime rib and enjoyed that with a red wine flight. We had planned on getting the cheese plate for dessert, but we were so full that we couldn't even think about that. The food was very good. While we had good service the wait staff definately seemed frazeled and we heard some of the people around us complaining about the service. Overall, I would reccomend this resturant to someone for a good steak and some good wine (at reasonable prices)."

  • "We have eaten here many times after a movie. So nice to just be able to walk to it instead of having to get in the car and drive. The food is consistently good as well as the service. It is one of our favorite restaurants. It could use a few more moderately priced wines though! Good to have a full bar too!"

  • "It took 15 minutes to be seated with reservations, it took another 10 minutes to get water and a drink order. Once the server was engaged he was adequate Food is fair but expensive, overall not a terrific night"

  • "Having dined at Prime Cut on New Year's Eve a few years ago, and enjoyed it, we tried again this year. My, how things have changed. There was no festive atmosphere, nothing to set it apart from any other night. That said, the food was almost as good as it usually is. My husband's hangar steak and potatoes were delicious, but my rack of lamb special was woefully undercooked. The ratouille was tasty, though. The cheese service was good, but served with too little bread, and it was too long a wait to get more. The signature donut dessert was as good as always. Service was much slower than usual, although most servers had a good attitude. Overall, a pleasant evening, but not quite up to Prime Cut's usual great standards."

  • "The prime rib was cold but when at a restaurant that although you eat there often was cold. After waiting Over 20 minutes for it, you became hungry and could not complain. I have eaten before and this did not happen."

  • "The prime rib dip sandwich is the best ever! The manager/owner always greets you with a great big smile and seems genuinely grateful to have you as a customer... One of my favorite restaurants!"
