  • "We dine here often and enjoy sitting on the patio. The food is unique. They grind their own burgers fresh. Desserts are made fresh and worth the wait. Love the carrot cake. Also try theirs apply hour. Great deals. See a movie, go there for dinner. Reservations needed on weekends. The wine list is amazing"

  • "We went for a belated birthday for dinner. It was really relaxing and enjoyable. From the time we sat down and to the time we left. Great all around place."

  • "When this place first opened, it was fairly good. I haven't been back in a few years. The wine list is still excellent. But, their food service was pitiful. I ordered a burger (no onions). It took about 45 minutes to make. And, it had an onion in it. Throughout this ordeal, the waiter came by 3 times (to tell me that my food will be out soon). It was not crowded at the time. So, I don't know what the problem was. We were heading to an event at Honda Center, so I couldn't wait for them to remake the burger. So the way I see it, it's basically a 'wine bar' - but they can seat you for a meal. The food part of the place is an afterthought."

  • "Needed a nice place with good wine to celebrate with a group of 8. Good energy without being overly loud. Easy to get a table. Nice wine list and I am a sucker for tasting flights. "

  • "Prime Cut is a great place to celebrate any special event. They have a wonderful private room that was easily able to accommodate our party of 12. I was particularly impressed with the level of service we received being that we were separated from the main dining room. No long waits for the food. The menu is extensive with so many delicious choices that we had difficulty choosing. The ahi tacos are my favorite!!! I highly recommend Prime Cut Café and Wine Bar for anyone who loves good food and drinks! "

  • "We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere of Prime Cut. Our waiter did not give the best customer service, but I could see that wasn't a true reflection of the overall place. I would recommend Prime Cut to everyone. "

  • "Prime Cut has a variety of great food at all kinds of price points as well as a nice wine list. You can go for a nice date or with the kids. It's an all around great place and it's our whole family's favorite for different kinds of occasions. We love it!"

  • "Brought some friends, their 1st time. Downside was the parking, being close to the Honda Center with the Ducks in the playoffs made parking impossible. But we finally found a spot and once inside put it all behind us and enjoyed the evening. Cheese plate and deviled egg appetizers were perfect. We all had good meals, fish, beef dip, pork chop, pasta. No complaints. Wine and drinks were good. The chocolate chip cookies, shared, we're great. Having a reservation seemed to make a difference, people were waiting when we walked in but we were seated immediately."

  • "We had another wonderful experience at prime cut. Food is very good and we love Maurice! He gives us wonderful help and service each visit. Thanks for another great evening! Really loved the blackened sea bass special. Filet is always a good choice as well."

  • "Our prime rib dinner was done perfectly and the creamed spinach along with the mashed potatoes were delicious. They served a "yorkshire pudding" but it seemed more like a delicious popover. We went overboard by getting some devilled eggs for appetizers and split the wedge salad (which was REALLY good). I saved half my dinner so I could try a dessert and I had the doughnuts with raspberry sauce. The doughnuts were't what I was expecting, but it was still good. My husband for the creme brûlée and the vanilla bean ice cream. We are looking forward for our next visit."

  • "I had their blue cheese bacon burger with no bun and it was amazing! The flavor was incredible and it was cooked just the way I like it. I definitely recommend this restaurant and the food!"

  • "We had a wonderful time. We were able to make a reservation for lunch which was nice. We were seated immediately, ordered quickly, and the food came out very quickly too. Everything was delicious. The only suggestion I have is that the wait staff should let you know in advance that most of the desserts require at least 15 minutes so you should be prepared to pre-order."

  • "Had a large group where a few people didn't show but prime cut was very accommodating, also refilled our waters all night and even gave us jugs at one point"

  • "Loved the happy hour... Great place to grab a bite and drink before heading over to watch the Ducks play."

  • "The concierge at the Marriott convention center recommended Prime Cut to us and while the taxi driver had no idea where it was, the food was excellent! We had the NY strip and the grilled shrimp and we ate every bite! Near the Honda Center where the Ducks play, it got a bit noisy after the game let out, so it's definitely not the place for quiet dinners."

  • "We only chose to eat here because we liked their menu for OC restaurant week. It was a bit of a drive and we were taking friend, so I was hoping it would be worth it. It was. The food was quite good and I would definitely eat there again.."

  • "We are all disappointed that the restaurant was not ready to serve the beef sandwich which we would like to try. The reason given to us was they were all out the night before."
    Dined on 3/1/2014
  • "Great food. Have to order the roasted tomato soup, deviled eggs & marinated olives. Burgers are awesome. And they serve old fashioned hot chocolate chip cookies with milk (where else can you find that?)"

  • "We always always go to Prime Cut for lunch, its one of our fav's. However it was definitely off. I suspect there was a very large party in another room. We were seated and then waited at least 15 min for water or a serverand water who disappeared again before taking our order. Waited another 15 minutes for our food. There was one other server in the room and she was busy attending other tables but our server seemed to MIA. Food was not as good as I remember. Ordered the blue cheese burger and the Pt Reyes blue cheese was overwhelmingly strong and it just did not go with the carmelized onions. The flavors were extremely overpowering and I am not a wimp. I will be back! And the carrot cake desert was excellent, big pieces of black walnuts."

  • "We visited for the first time during OC Restaurant Week. I had the Double Chicken Sandwich and my friend had the BBQ Beef Brisket Sandwich, both served with shoestring fries. We also tried the Deviled Eggs w/bacon which were delish and for dessert, the flourless Chocolate Espresso Cake and the Carrot Cake were both yummy as well. It was all good and I would def come back. We did not have anything from the bar so I can't comment but I notice they have HH from 3p-6p so we'll be back for that."

  • "First, how can you be Prime Cut Cafe and RUN OUT OF PRIME RIB? After the first downer, everything else went well. The food was good, but nothing stood out as exceptional. Our server was friendly and helpful."

  • "A nice restaurant but a bit noisy. Service was good as was the food. Nice place to come before or after a movie or an event at the Pond."

  • "A quickie lunch with the spouse to seize upon OC Restaurant Week menu. Arrived at 11:30am to an empty restaurant to be greeted by cheery hostesses. By noon, the ambience bustled with carnivorous parties of males in shirtsleeves. Menu featured pseudo gastro pub fare at mass market chain prices. We ordered off the promo menu: deviled eggs, salad, burger and shoestring fries and carrot cake. The deviled eggs were nothing to write Ohio in the 60's about, The burger arrived raw pink all the way through, but was indeed, a generous hunk of beef appealing in stature, though grease shiny with condiments. An above average lunch experience at a reasonable price (thanks OC Restaurant Week) and given a bar of mass market restaurant chains."

  • "This is a great restaurant for value and good food. The appetizer menu is a bit thin. Stick with the complimentary foccacia bread. I ordered the Prime Cut Prime Rib, rare, with mashed potatoes and sauted spinach. The cut came out perfectly marbled and as tender as any I've had. The mashed potatoes needed no salt but were well seasoned and nice consistency. The Yorkshire pudding was great. The crab was thinner than expected and nothing to write home about. The filet, on the other hand was delicious, cooked medium rare (good call) and nicely seared. For dessert we shared a flourless molten chocolate cake, a definit keeper. Keep the Trader Vics Mai Tai (it ain't). Overall great value and a nice dinner that didn't break the bank."

  • "We arrived on time to be politely greeted and quickly seated to our table. We each had the filet medallions which were melt in your mouth scrumptious. Mine came with a large crab cake which was very good. Hers came with a pair of large seared scallops. They were good but would have been better if they had been seared on both sides instead of one. The waiter was polite and attentive. Overall, we've been here before and we'll enjoy coming back again."

  • "My fiancee and I order filet mignon combos. Our steaks were great, but her lobster was over cooked and my risotto was under cooked. The creamed spinach was good though. So overall experience was mehhh."
