Diner Reviews
  • "We loved this restaurant and the ambience, having been looking forward to going for some time. We went to celebrate our anniversary. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was fabulous, but the longer we were there the slower the service was. Not sure what was going on, hopefully something we weren't aware. The waitress was very friendly and we liked her, but we were there 2 and a half hours for a meal. Our dinner plates sat for at least 20 mins before we finally called over the food director, who was very very nice and apologetic and took care of us for the rest of the meal. We just felt for the prices, the service should be much better."

  • "Two families (8 of us) came to Nashville last weekend to celebrate the engagement of our son and their daughter. I chose Prime 108 because someone told me it was a cool and romantic setting and that the food was good. The first two bottles of wine we ordered were out of stock but they bent over backwards and discounted the substitutes for us. The waitress could have been a little more attentive as my water glass was empty for a long time. I was surprised to see 20% added to my bill. We didn't get $120 worth of service. The food was tasty and well prepared (I had the 4 course sampler) Everyone said they loved their food but I think it was a one and done for me, especially if I'm picking up the check. I expected to be blown away. I wasn't."

  • "Took 7 guests there for dinner. If you want a very nice ambiance, this is the place. Strolling guitar payer was excellent. The hotel lobby is spectacular. Restaurant a bit less so with odd large artwork on walls. Nicely covered chairs and booths. As far as the food, not spectacular. Crab cakes, too much cake, not enough crab. Heirloom tomato plates short on the amount of tomatoes and cheese for the price. I enjoyed the beet salad; the best thing I tasted. Shared chicken dish; it was simply baked pounded and breaded chicken. Two guest did enjoy vegetarian ravioli. Two other guests had beef filets, that were ok, but nothing special at $41. Two other guests shared the cowboy ribeye. Again, only average, but clearly enough for two."

  • "The restaurant is located in a historic hotel which adds to the unique dining experience. The food and attention to detail of the presentation was great. The Server was attentive and knowledgeable about the wine and food choices. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone that enjoys fine dining."

  • "Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere. We will definitely go back."

  • "Their biggest dishes like the sirloin steak and the crab cake appetizer, didn't go over that well with the people I was dining with and they didn't look that great either. But, I think that might be a result of the restaurant wanting to take risks with presenting interesting food in new, somewhat unexpected preparations. Some highlights- the server, shrimp appetizer, scallops, chicken marsala soup, vegetarian ravioli, desserts (lavender creme brulee, peach cobbler, chocolate torte) Some lowlights- the restaurant was very, very quiet for a Saturday night (aka empty) so it was a little gloomy, particularly because of the dark ambiance. Steak and crab cake were underwhelming. Bread and butters before dinner were underwhelming."

  • "Everything was top notch. The waitress was spot on. She was friendly helpful and genuinely concerned about our experience."

  • "We were looking for a place that would meet some specific requirements: great food, quiet so we could talk with out-of-town friends that we hadn't seen in a long time, and a unique place in Nashville showcasing historical elements. Prime 108 was perfect. The hotel lobby is impressive, the restaurant is beautifully designed, dramatic and gorgeous, the food was excellent and the service was attentive and not intrusive. The restaurant delivered an amiable and welcoming experience without being pretentious. It will be our "go to" place for special occasions."

  • "A beautiful setting, fabulous service, delicious menu (we all got something different) and not over priced for the amount of food you get. Great wine list too!"

  • "I wasn't expecting this place to be in a train station turned hotel. The architecture of the place was captivating. Also the service staff was very friendly and they knew the menu. If you're stuck between choice ask the staff their opinion and they will provide a great option. It was very quite for an early Sunday dinner. They didn't seem to mind cargo pants and a polo even though the dress code is business casual. They were very understanding since I did just arrive in Nashville off a plane. The Vegetable Ravioli was the best that I've had so far. The spinach was steamed to perfection. It was nice a bright green like spinach is supposed to be. The dessert options are wonderful! Try the tart or cheesecake you can't go wrong."

  • "My husband and I had an excellent meal here. We did the 4 course tasting with the wine pairing which was great. They let us substitute anything that didn't appeal to us. The scenery in the Union Station hotel was the icing on the cake (after the creme brûlée)"

  • "The crab bisque is the reason to go here. It's phenomenal. The staff was friendly and overall our dinner was wonderful, there's just no 'wow' factor for me like at other restaurants around town. If you want a nice, quiet, low key dinner with your mate though, this will fit perfectly."

  • "Went to the restaurant for special event and was very disappointed. I got the special, pork chop and it was so chewy, could not cut through it even with a knife. The other dishes were equally disappointing. Will never go back."

  • "Absolutely terrific meal and delightful evening. The rennovated Union Station Hotel with its magnificent lobby and stunning Tiffany windows are worth a visit for everyone. But the dinner atvPrime 108 was a delight we will long treasure. The chef's tasting prix fixe with wine pairings was stupendous--from first bite/sip to the last. The poached apricot dessert was hands down the best dessert I can remember. And the pairings were perfect. Thank you. We will long remember our evening at Prime 108 as a highlight of our Nashville trip."

  • "Dinner was great, we had the fried shrimp app and the two specials for dinner. We had the fresh catch (snapper) and the vegetarian special (gnocchi). The snapper was great and the gnocchi was good but my wife thinks it had too much balsamic glaze. Service was great, but it wasn't busy at all. We were there early, and it was a very quick but well timed dinner."

  • "This place was great. Our waitress was the good kind that appears when needed, but doesn't hover. The food was amazing. I absolutely loved the cheese plate, and I had a great steak! I'd definitely go back again!"

  • "My wife and I stayed in the hotel and had dinner at Prime 108. It was awesome. I let the staff know ahead of time it was our 30 th Anniversary and they covered the table with 30 rose petals(nice touch). Service and ambience were great. Food was outstanding and our dessert was free. Highly recommend this restaurant for special events and the hotel is beautiful."

  • "This place is better in the winter with the fire going and it being dark outside. Took my wife for our anniversary, and it failed to live up to the memories of our last visit. Service was fine. The 'smoked' fillet has a very smokey flavor. The rockfish special seemed overly salty. Wasn't a bad experience, but not what we were anticipating."

  • "The decor is magnificent, the food was excellent and our waitress did a great job. We were very pleased, but expect to pay for top notch dining!"

  • "First time at the 108, we had an early dinner as we were going on to a show afterwards so, the restaurant was quite but there were a few other dinners there. The food was excellent from the starters through to desert our waitress was also great, not a cheap dinner but worth it with the beautiful old railway stations décor. There was also a large wedding taking place in the main lobby which did not effect our good experience at all, only improved it. "

  • "Last minute decision to dine at Prime 108 because it was close, it was raining, it was in a Historic Restored Rail Station and we had not been there before. We were extremely pleased with our chance encounter. Friendly, effective service and some unique excellent dishes were tried, making for a leisurely, rainy, memorable dining experience. "

  • "My wife and I were in Nashville for our anniversary and wanted a nice night out. While we enjoyed the restaurant and the meal, the pricing was really out of line with the quality. I have been to plenty of "expensive" restaurants and largely have felt that the pricing was warranted given the quality of the food, the service and the overall atmosphere. That really wasn't the case with this restaurant. The food was good and the restaurant was nice - just not worth the price. I won't be coming back on my next visit."

  • "For a special occasion, by daughter, her husband, my husband and I were able to dine at Prime 108. It is a beautiful restaurant attached to a more beautiful hotel but best of all, we all had a wonderful and delicious dinner. Large portions so we were very full by the time we left. Our waitress was great; attentive but not over-bearing. It was a great time!"

  • "I had the Taste Menu and it was perfect food with all 4 courses. My husband had the lamb and said he highly recommended it. Fabulous Food! Fabulous Service! "

  • "First, the restaurant and the hotel are absolutely beautiful. You couldn't ask for a more romantic setting. The service was excellent! We had the cheese plate appetizer, which was great! The bread served before the meal was also wonderful. For entrees, my husband had the filet and I had the chicken. Both meats were delicious, but both of my sides which were English peas and spaetzle, were very bland. My husband's sides, marble potatoes and asparagus, were yummy! They gave us complimentary dessert for our anniversary, so kind of them! The check was 83 dollars, and we were pleasantly surprised it wasn't more. We would dine there again."

  • "For a fine dining restaurant, the service was mediocre at best. When I spend $150. for dinner for my wife and I, having to wave down or look for the server is not what I expect. Tho the food was good, it was not hot. I guess our waitress let it sit for a good while because it was just barely warm. I will not return to this restaurant even though it has great ambiance, and I do not recommend it."

  • "We took a girls trip to Nashville. We decided to try 108. I am so glad we did! The sea bass I had was perfectly prepared. I savored every bite. The service was excellent. Thank you Megan! The building is so beautiful too. So many reasons to dine here. Loved it!"

  • "Our party of 6 needed to arrive 30 minutes earlier than our reservations due to a plane flight one of our members needed to catch. Prime 108 kindly and immediately allowed us to arrive early and put a rush on our order. And they made it very comfortable for our one member in a wheelchair. We love the fresh, organic and sustainably produced ingredients. This is why we are regular, happy customers!"

  • "Food was outstanding and very creative, especially the salad which was well designed and delicious. Steak was just perfect. This was a brunch and our table for 5 was sizeable, but this beautiful and historic train station has very high ceilings, so the uncontrolled and boisterous children in attendance made it very difficult to hold a conversation with my fellow diners. When the kids left the silence was welcome and we were able to finish our wonderful meal in peace."

  • "We had Easter brunch at Prime 108. The salad presentation was quite unique. Food was very good to excellent. Dessert buffet was a great way to finish the meal. I was surprised that there were not more people. Perhaps the price chased some away."

  • "Located in the historic Union Station Hotel, the atmosphere of this restaurant along with the lobby of the hotel is quite astonishing. It's a treat just to see the original stained glass windows and fireplaces, along with the masterfully reworked hotel. The food was prepared in a timely manner and had a nice presentation. All the meats came out tender and cooked to the correct temperature and the spinach was outstanding."

  • "My wife and I enjoyed Prime 108 on a Saturday evening. We were seated promptly, and greeted by a friendly and knowledgable server. The food was fantastic. Specifically, the lamb chop was cooked perfectly and presented on a bed of spinach and cous-cous. So satisfying! The atmosphere was a bit quiet for an intimate time. We could clearly hear everything the neighboring table was saying, so we kept our conversation quiet and minimal. Some background music might be helpful. The wait staff was very helpful (even taking time to educate me about some of the art in the dining room, at my request). Overall, we had lovely evening."
