  • "Located in the historic Union Station Hotel, the atmosphere of this restaurant along with the lobby of the hotel is quite astonishing. It's a treat just to see the original stained glass windows and fireplaces, along with the masterfully reworked hotel. The food was prepared in a timely manner and had a nice presentation. All the meats came out tender and cooked to the correct temperature and the spinach was outstanding."

  • "My wife and I enjoyed Prime 108 on a Saturday evening. We were seated promptly, and greeted by a friendly and knowledgable server. The food was fantastic. Specifically, the lamb chop was cooked perfectly and presented on a bed of spinach and cous-cous. So satisfying! The atmosphere was a bit quiet for an intimate time. We could clearly hear everything the neighboring table was saying, so we kept our conversation quiet and minimal. Some background music might be helpful. The wait staff was very helpful (even taking time to educate me about some of the art in the dining room, at my request). Overall, we had lovely evening."

  • "This restaurant was beautiful set inside the old Union Station. We loved the spreads they gave with the bread. We decided not go for an appetizer but split the spring salad and it was plenty. I had the lamb and it was one of the best I have ever had! My husband had the snapper and loved it. We split a chocolate mouse dessert that was also delicious."

  • "We went for lunch before the two women's final four semi final games on Sunday. They let us order off the dinner menu even though it was lunch time. Great steak, Caesar salad was good too. Had a nice red blend glass of wine and when we finished lunch sat in the bar. This is in the old Union train station. They have done a marvelous job of renovating the building."

  • "Had dinner on a Wednesday night. I picked the soup and entree the waitress recommended. It was a good meal but overpriced. Service was excellent. It would be nice if they could open the shades in the evening so we could see the city lights. I would recommend for a romantic or quiet dinner."

  • "Had rez for 6 so we were able to sit at a generous sized round table; the best for group conversation with no one feeling left out. Noise level is the best I've found in the downtown Nashville area; you can actually hear one another talk; soft live guitar music is a plus and can make for a very special evening. Service was slow; had to wait about 30 minutes between courses....don't know what was going on in the kitchen as the restaurant was not at full capacity during the start of our 6:30 pm dinner rez. Food is good, presentation nice. My husband and I ordered the prix-fix 4-course dinner; they ran out of dessert but offered us any dessert on the menu - good compensation. Had to re-fill our own wine glasses after the 1st round."

  • "My husband and I are hoping that Prime 108 never takes their lamb chops off the menu, it will be hard to order anything else after having had these, they were amazing. We were there Valentines Day weekend and they had run out by the end of the weekend, so this was a trip back specifically for the lamb. Will be back. Service, ambiance, etc. were great."

  • "This is not a place for a dinner-a-week. But is great for any special occasion. The setting reminds me of the old days when traveling by train was still an adventure. The food was very good. The read spinach was outstanding. The waitress was very attentive but never in our face. A great place for a special dinner event"

  • "Lovely dining room with inferior lighting. Doesn't set the right mood & doesn't highlight the beautiful interior. We had a long wait between the salad course & our entrees. The staff began to reset the tables for breakfast, further diminishing the elegance of the room because they don't use tablecloths for breakfast. Not the elegant fine dining experience I expected. The food was good and the 4 course price fixe option an excellent value. Sound wise, it was nice while the guitarist in the lobby was playing, but when he finished, no music until someone remembered to turn on recorded music, again diminishing the ambiance when the background noise was the sound of the staff clanking plates and cutlery as they reset for breakfast."

  • "I was excited to go to Prime 108 especially since it is located inside Union Station. It was nice to have valet available And validated for restaurant patrons. The hotel is simply gorgeous. The server was nice, but for kinds/prices of food offered, should have described the menu like she actually cared. We got the cheese plate (yum) and crab cakes (very yum) for appetizers. I had the seabass special which was a bit salty but good. My boyfriend ordered the ribeye, and it was not cooked properly all the way through, and was fatty. It was a good portion, but we have had better steak at Logans. Very disappointing for the prices we were paying. Overall it was okay, a little disappointing. Probably will not return. More than it's worth."

The food was was perfectly prepared, nicely presented, and paced perfectly with no rush as might be expected with this being Valentine's day. The waitress was knowledgeable about the food and wine and helpful. The ambience was perfect in a beautiful and quiet setting."

  • "The food was really bad - mushy prawns…soup from a can…dry, mediocre rev eye. The server was so oblivious that he said "OK, fabulous!" as he picked up each non-eaten dish and we said that it wasn't edible. We were put in the "dining room" that is just a hotel meeting room (I've conducted workshops in that room) with some tables set up in it. Very, very disappointing restaurant. Really substandard."

  • "We came the night after Valentine's Day for dinner, and this place was absolutely perfect for a date. It was quiet enough to talk to each other easily, the seating is very comfortable, it was candle and fire-place lit so everything looked basically magical. The food was excellent (especially the gumbo!) and the cocktail I had was also very well made. Finally, the service is just right, not always looking over your shoulder, but food comes fast, refills aren't hard to come by, and any time we needed anything our server was nearby. I also really appreciated that we never felt rushed to free up our table. We lingered after the meal for a while and there was no hovering at all. I would definitely return here."

The fireplace had the perfect flames in the background and the lighting was low but you could still see the menu. The staff was quite attentive. We found the food to be excellent both in taste and presentation. This is the perfect special occasion restaurant . I would recommend to anyone."

  • "Had reservations for 10 people, Saturday night 6pm. Totally empty place, has our table at the front door , don't know why they wanted us out so fast. Felt very rushed. I started thinking maybe we were their dinner reservation and they all were going home when we were done. Very odd- to be rushed in an empty restaurant . Started with cocktails and appetizers, regular drinks great appetizer tasting platter, if the dinner menu was as interesting as the appetizer things would have been better. We had everything from pasta, steaks, even the fish special "trigger fish" (one if my favs, first I've ever seen on a menu). Nothing stood out, all was mediocre at best. Very disappointed all the way around. Fabulous mango cheesecake!!!"

  • "Fabulous dinner. I would definitely go there again. Waitress was a little scattered, but very nice. The only downside was the dessert. Very average...only had a couple of bites to satisfy the "sweet tooth" and really wasn't good enough to finish. A bit disappointing considering how wonderful the rest of the food was...but beyond that....an A+!!!"

We would have not gone here had we not, simply because we don't think about a restaurant inside a hotel, plus Nashville offers so many wonderful options. My husband and I are food lovers at its finest. We enjoyed and would recommend the crab cake appetizer and the egg nog creme brûlée. Our entrees were not bad by any means but nothing spectacular. The waitress we had was wonderful. We always enjoy the staffs recommendations and suggestions on all items. She suggested a bottle of white for us and it was perfect."

  • "I would expect this to be a destination spot even for Nashville natives, and so it appeared to be, on the edge of downtown, off the tourist main drag. A gorgeous building that pays great tribute to its history, as does the restaurant. Sort of quiet elegance, and reasonably priced for hotel fare, as part of the Marriott's Autograph Collection. As hotel guests rarely have we stuck to the hotel property for meals, but this was different. Breakfast and dinner both on Christmas eve were served with a nicely varied menu. The table next to the large fireplace heightened the ambience in the evening. Even the rather unglamorous railyard outside the large windows, seemed to appropriately enhance the experience. Service was friendly and attentive,"

You get to the restaurant by walking through the grand lobby of the station which sets the tone for your experience. The ambiance and excellent service reflect Old World charm and grace. If you can time your arrival at sundown you will be bathed in light streaming through the stained glass widows. The food is well prepared and served in a gracious manner. Background music is tasteful and quiet providing the opportunity for dinnertime conversation. This is my all time favorite place to spend an evening out."

  • "Both service staff and hostess were very attentive, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Atmosphere was unique, majestic, and historic. Was a slow night so noise level was unusually low and the roaring fire was perfect for the frosty night. We had high hopes but the cuisine and menu proved to be pretentious. The dishes were over salted and servings were very small for the premium prices. While dinner was palatable, it did not deliver an experience comparable to the staff and surroundings. Time for someone to revisit the menu and the quality of dishes coming out of the kitchen. Get a drink at the lobby bar and experience the historic building. Skip the restaurant. Overpriced hotel restaurant marketed as high end dining but does not deliver."
