The room is big and gives an open feel to the place, and the big windows give a good view of the bustling Wash Ave corner. Service was prompt and friendly, and the menu gives a decent variety of choices for a steak oriented operation. I started with the pork springrolls, the presentation was colorful due to the light plating of several tasty sauces and the crispy shell held some very flavorful, fall apart doneness meat. I ordered the prime strip steak medium rare and, while I would probably choose to order it rare next time, it was a top quality piece of beef with a tender texture and a fine, bold steak flavor. I very much enjoyed the whole experience! Bonus: The beef ageing behind the hostess station!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place and cannot wait to see the new menu. This was our second time here and I think the food was even better than the first; if that is at all possible. I can see this being the next "IT" place to be in St. Louis

Excellent steak. Our temperatures were mixed up but our excellent server, Carlos, fixed the mistake right away and gave us a free wine sample. Carlos was wonderful, very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. My boyfriend forgot his birthday card there and Carlos called the next day offering to mail it. Wonderful overall experience.

Prime 1000 was a great find. The restaurant was quiet and everyone was very nice. Our server did a great job giving us an overview of the menu. The Rosemary Chicken salad was amazing. I would go back just for that. The steaks were prepared perfectly and so flavorful.

A very nice restaurant however, if we had not had a Travelzoo discount voucher, I would not have paid the price for the food offered. My steak was very good but it was not a $55 good steak, nor was the wine I had worth $18 a glass. Very Pricey!

We were impressed with our server, Eddie, who was available, but not intrusive, and made very good recomendations. PROS: The steaks were superb, especially the free-range steaks. The salad was also quite good. The wine (a cabernet) recommended by Eddie complemented the meal quite well. The bread pudding was a fine closer, as was the "gooey" butter cake. CONS: The shrimp cocktail was very disappointing. $31 for three shrimps, which were dry. Very poor appetiser, and made us worry about the rest of the meal to come. OTHER: One additional comment - the "gooey" butter cake was at first disappointing in that it was NOT "gooey". However, for a "butter cake", the flavor was quite good none the less.

Had a good experience! Had a party of 4 and were actually served by the General Manager and he was outstanding. He made great recommendations for every course and everyone really enjoyed the evening. The bone in Ribeye was amazing and the service was second to none.

This was my wife and I first, but not last, visit to Prime 1000. The food was excellently prepared in both taste and presentation. We had the huge bone-in dry aged ribeyes and we were not disapointed with our selection. Our 7pm reservation was met with almost immediate accomodation. Our Server, Cristin, was very attentive and knowledgeable about the cuisine. This is a special place that should serve as an anchor to the reviving Washington Street ambiance.

The prime and grass fed filets were very good and cooked to perfection; however, two members of our party got the grass fed ribeye and it was awful. It was unbelievably fatty. The asparagus was slightly overcooked. We enjoyed our wine, after we requested the red be decanted....at this price point, we felt that should have been the default, rather than a request. Loved the atmosphere. Each couple spent almost $300 for dinner and wine. At those prices, we will not be back, as there are other restaurants in St. Louis that offer better food for comparable spending.
