It made me chuckle, when, in the above questionnaire it mentioned something about "View"----c'mon, view of an ugly parking lot?. There is no"ambience",but the food was great and server excellent. My daughjter lives in SanR amon and made the suggestion for my younger daughter's Birthday (Older daughter has been there many times, and likes it a lot)-Got a FREE desert (with candle) for birthday girl---thanks.

The food was the highlight at this restaurant on Saturday night! I saw the couple next to us eating something I couldn't find on the menu. Turns out, the dish was customized. It was a chicken piccata, but made with shrimp instead. Yummy!!!!! So glad I tried. The four of us really enjoyed our food. Service was very attentive. Would definitely come back but prices are high enough to make this a special occasion restaurant instead of a regular stop for us.

If it was not for Passport Unlimited we would have never gone. I know of this place from many years ago - but never went in. it is situated in an old 1980's shopping mall with a small Big5 and a RadioShack near by - and is next to a dog grooming place - so you would not think great Italian food - but I must say, we have been back 5 times in 3 weeks and have enjoyed every meal. The hostess does not smile much, but the rest of the staff is very nice and helpful. Some have been there for more than a decade we have learned. Found a new favorite to add to our list - the food offers nice portions (usually we end up taking something home) and the selection of items should cater to most. Highly recommend this place

  • GREAT CIOPPINO

    Dined on 11/7/2014
The cioppino is the best on the menu, says our waiter. And he is right! Their Cioppino boasts wonderful flavors and treasures from the sea. Loved the rice risotto in it as well. Will go back just for that cioppino! Noise level high but it is a hopping scene, energetic with an enthusiastic crowd ordering pasta dishes. Service very good in spite the many guests that evening. Glad I made the reservation for two or would have been disappointed if I had to wait with the guests waiting for their turn.

We've been to the other Pasta Primavera restaurants and have loved their pasta dishes, but this one is better. The remodeling of the restaurant adding a separate dining room for special occasions and large groups is absolutely genius. The revised menu and food were spectacular to make this a great neighborhood hangout.

Primavera Ristorante has gone from good to excellent over the past year or so, with a physical remodeling that makes for a great atmosphere and a menu quality that's reminiscent of Europe. The Cioppino, a favorite of mine that's often just so-so is excellent here. While this place has long been our favorite for dessert--the tiramisu is to die for-- it now ranks #1 for dinner as well.

Always a good experience here. But I think we had a new server. After dinner we order dessert and two cappacinos. They were not that busy , so I was very surpisred that it took 15 minutes to get our cappacinos. The waiter then gave us the check and charged us for a desert that we never received. Oops! With so much attention to detail, I was surprised at what happpend. Will this keep me from going back? No way. Sometimes these events can occur and the food is very good there.

Our waitress was very pleasant. The restaurant was not busy but it was apparent that the kichen was having some issues getting food out in a timely way. We waited over 30 minutes for our appetizers and our waitress was apologizing a lot (we were okay- we felt badly for our server). My pasta dish (Alla Firenze) was very watery and was very salty. It had both bacon and proscuitto so it may have been that too much salt was added, in addition. There was at least a cup of broth in the bottom of the bowl. The server brought me a complimentary dessert because she saw that I didn't eat much of it, which was very nice of her. Will try it again and chalk it up to a bad night in the kitchen.

This was the third time in a row I have had the seafood ravioli dish and it again was outstanding. So often a restaurant will wow you then the next time it will disappoint. Not at Primavera! The wine list has improved and we enjoyed one of our favorites. The dessert menu is all new and OMG we never order one each, but we did and both were outstanding. One of our very favorite places to go!

Our son used to work here, so we have a soft spot for Pasta Primavera and they never disappoint. My husband had the seafood mix with pasta and I, the Chicken Pesto Gorgonzola. Both were delicious and very generous servings. In fact, I took half of mine home in order to leave room for a delightful Tiramisu that my husband and I split - it's a huge piece and definitely enough for two. They have an excellent wine list, but it was our anniversary so we brought a sentimental bottle of our own; their corkage fee is very reasonable. Brian took very good care of us and Manager, Manuel was extremely cordial. Definitely a favorite place of ours. We highly recommend it.

We have been to Pasta Primavera a few times. Don't know what happened...perhaps because of Mother's Day it was overwhelming for the restaurant? The food was just mediocre (and the food used to be very good) and the service was spotty at best. We did not receive one item that we ordered as an appetizer, just as well because the bill was high. We will look for other venues for special occasions.

The fact that we went to dinner here 4 weekends in a row should say something. We live in the area and just wanted to try something new. The reviews on OT were great so we decided to give it a try. Everything we have had has been fantastic, Chicken Piccata, Shrimp and Lobster Risotto, Caprese salad w/ Avocado just to name a few. Great menu, lots of choices...wine list is good, even a nice selection from Italy. The staff is also very good. We are very happy that we decided to try something new!

I went to Primavera because a friend was in town and Gianni's wasn't open on Monday. When I got there, I realized it was really called "Pasta Primavera". I had the Salmon Fresca, which was supposed to be a salad, but there were no greens. The salmon was good, but of the accompaniments - canned artichoke hearts (ugh!), tomatoes, fennel, avocado - I only ate the tomatoes and fennel and a bit of the avocado. There was a lot going on on this plate but not what I wanted. My friend had the shrimp salad which she said was fine. I noticed something they called "jambalaya" on the menu - creamy seafood over fettuccine! Jambalaya is a rice dish - chef should look up the recipe. Our server was nice and competent. I will not be going back.
