Conveniently located just 10 minutes from downtown, the Café offers a delicious alternative to city dining. The Presidio Café offers American comfort food with a California… flair in a casual club environment. Start with our Clam Chowder or Artichoke Gratin, then enjoy one of our delicious sandwiches or entrees, including our famous Club Sandwich and Fresh Fish Tacos. Or enjoy one of our entree size lunch salads, including sesame Tuna and a Classic Cobb salad. "I'd wanted to go here since I stumbled upon it years ago on a bike ride through the Presidio. It was a private club back then, but it's open to the public now. The restaurant has a nice view overlooking the golf course. The interior good use some design work. It just felt a little too much like a conference center dining room. Maybe an upgrade to the tables and chairs would help.
The service was outstanding, and we had three kids with us, which I know is a challenge. Our waiter was attentive, patient, and very friendly. The food was pretty good, but breakfast isn't necessarily a meal where you can show off. I'd like to go back for lunch or dinner to really assess the chef.
Overall, it is a nice place to have a casual lunch or dinner."

"We went for Easter Brunch with my seven year old grand daughter. There was a very large bunny and an egg hunt which added much to the day's festivities. The drinks were very good, the chocolate tower was a huge hit (with fresh fruit to dip) but by the time we got there at noon, some bins were empty or cold and overall not too appetizing. But the atmosphere and service was great. I'd go back for a second chance as the room and view are beautiful and we were treated well. Get there earlier than noon for brunch."

"The service and food were exceptional at this stately though not overly pretentious dining establishment on a golf course. It was a very stormy day, so we were unable to lunch on the lovely patio. I clicked the box for scenic even though it's a golf course one views while dining. I figure anywhere you can see greenery in an urban area is scenic and the drive to get there is nice as the Presidio is a beauteous SF locale.
I had an wonderfully tasty and rich wild mushroom soup with a dash of delightful truffle oil -- perfect for a rainy day in accompaniment with an exceptional Reuben sandwich. The Bloody Mary was equally stellar. My guest had a tasty burger (very juicy) and a nice Cabernet.

The service by Eldon was exceptional!"

"We had a large table of seven for lunch, friends and family who had not seen each other for awhile. Our server was very attentive, almost too pushy in getting our order while he could see we were talking. However, overall his service was very good. The food is good and reasonably priced. The setting is quite pleasant. A good experience."

"the foood wa excellent and the ser4vice wonderful. The problemm is that the restaurant is always cold because the door is left open coming from the golf course. I have asked them to close trhe door and they said they couldn't. It is a shame that one has to dine with their coat on and a few layers. I love the restaurant and wish that this problem could be repaired."
