Preservation Kitchen preserves the traditions of regional eating and drinking, our local history, and old-fashioned hospitality. We believe that sharing a good meal with friends and family is one of the best ways to spend your time, and that expensive prices, white table cloths and pretentious wine… lists are not necessary to achieve a great dining experience. Our menu, which contains seasonal, locally produced, and sustainable ingredients whenever possible, is flexible and affordable enough for a four-course special occasion dinner in our dining room, a casual lunch or dinner in the cafe, or a glass of beautiful with some appetizers! The Cafe at Preservation Kitchen offers the same seasonal, local, NW cuisine, only in a more casual setting and priced for everyday. "My boyfriend and I took a girlfriend of mine here for an introductory dinner. It was her suggestion and weall enjoyed our evening immensely. We each had something completely different to eat and all 3 entrees were exceptional! Thank you for a wonderful experience."

"The Preservation Kitchen is a great spot for lunch or dinner! I also enjoy that it is in a very quaint, brick house. With all of the smaller rooms and beautiful outdoor spaces, it makes me feel like I'm eating an intimate meal at someone's house.
I really appreciate that there are different types of meat on the menu that you don't always find (like wild boar ragu, a smoked duck sandwich, local shellfish, etc.), yet they still do an amazing job with veggies and homemade pasta.
I'd highly recommend the Preservation Kitchen for anyone who loves seasonal food in a welcoming atmosphere."

"I love this restaurant. The food never ceases to amaze me. Portions are just right. the Seattle Restaurant Week menu is pretty good. You get a taste of what they're capable of. Truffle fries are always my top choice."

"We had Easter Brunch. The omelets were very good served with homestyle potatoes. They had excellent brunch drinks. The service was as good as it gets. I would have liked to see more menu choices but all in all I would recommend it."

"We came to Preservation Kitchen for Easter Brunch. We've been before for dinner- & absolutely fell in love, so we wanted to check out their brunch. Amazing! My mother, who is 76 was very impressed, all the way down to my youngest, who is 12. Looking forward to visiting again soon!"

"We went there last night for dine around seattle. We were 1/2 an hour early and got there at 5.15 pm and immediately seated with no problem. We were seated in front of the fireplace which is nice and cozy. Had spicy chai martini (very yummy) and beer. For starter we had spinach and strawberry salad (fair) and seared scallop with butternut squash puree and prosciutto (yummy). Entree we had pork tenderloin and chicken breast (both are very good). Dessert we had chocolate mousse and bread pudding, I love the bread pudding.
Service are subpar, I feel like dining in chinatown, wine glasses are not polished (one of them in front of me had really bad mark on the lips), they "bring" cutlery along with food between their finger and plate."

"I was really disappointed in the experience here. We didn't even see a person to ask for water, for 15-20 minutes after sitting down. The restaurant ran out of multiple items that we wanted to order. The restaurant thought that getting complimentary bread was adequate for our troubles, when pretty much 99% of restaurants already serve bread for free. Overall, I wouldn't go back."

"With our recent move to the area, this restaurant caught our eyes from the outside every time we'd driven by. So when we saw that PH was participating in the Dine Around Seattle event, we just had to give it a try. We'd absolutely loved the place: food/drinks, service, & ambiance. We are surely coming back for more dining experiences here...Especially since we just live down the street from this neighborhood gem."

"My girlfriend and I went to Preservation Kitchen for the Dine around Seattle promotion. The menu options offered a classic assembly of dishes, nothing too creative or original. Our starters were scallops that were cooked perfectly and a spinach salad with just the right amount of dressing. Mains were wild board ragu and chicken w/vegetables. Both were excellent and we cleaned our plates off. My dessert was probably the most unique item on the menu with bread pudding. My girlfriend enjoyed a light chocolate mousse. At the end of the night there were no left overs and certainly no complaints. For reliable dishes cooked they way they should be, go to Preservation Kitchen."
