Prato - Winter ParkWe had a great time here onWe had a great time here on Mother's Day. I wish there were a couple of more items fit for a 7 year old, but we made do with the pizza. My beet appetizer was out of this world and my husbands Funghi pizza was delicious. We'll definitely be back again.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThey stop serving full menuThey stop serving full menu at 3pm. I think they should advise this when making reservation.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother awesome visit. AllAnother awesome visit. All I have to say is ... squash blossom. YUM. Everything was perfectly on target and every single person at our table was pleased. Beef, Pork, Fish and Pasta were all covered and each one delivered! Keep up the good work, folks.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMInventive, delicious variationsInventive, delicious variations on standard high-end Italian fare. Lots of local ingredients. Definitely worth a visit.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't wait to return!Perfect service, squash blossoms were delicious, shrimp ravioli is the best I've ever had!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGorgeous Winter Park restaurantGorgeous Winter Park restaurant with a casual but sophisticated ambience, large bar area. Italian, but highly original menu. We split the "widow maker" pizza and three apps- less than $25 per person with some pizza left over. I don't often rave about a meatball appetizer, but the flavor and texture were memorable. Just a super place, and very reasonably priced. So worth a 40 minute drive to escape Disney hotel options.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best of Winter ParkI've never had a bad meal at Prato. The drinks are interesting, and the food highlights seasonal ingredients. One of my favorites on the menu is the shrimp ravioli. So fresh and amazing!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredibly small gnocchi portion.Incredibly small gnocchi portion. The $38 ribeye was expertly trimmed and beautifully presented, but it was not tender as a rib eye is...especially for $38, very disappointing. Our server, Jennifer, was knowledgable and friendly, very nice. Good service, good atmosphere and mediocre overpriced food.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were seated at a tableWe were seated at a table where the sun was in our eyes. Very distracting. Also, had to ask several times for ice for our water. The food was awesome. The steak was perfect as we're the salads.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMFantasticAbsolutely fantastic. Definitely a place fit for foodies. A fantastic find that I will return to when I am back in Orlando.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMMy new favorite in WinterMy new favorite in Winter Park. Our server, Mira, was fastastic and went out of the way to make our experience perfect. Food was absolutely fantastic! Can't wait for next visit.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed a slow self-drivenEnjoyed a slow self-driven tasting dinner. OUr server, while at first seemingly tring to speed us towards the next course, quickly adjusted to our service style and provided more "invisible" service. Yellow Tuna appitizer was INCREDIBLE as were the meatballs ( my regular pick) Veal Belly w/ fried egg was a tad too fatty but the gnocci was a great ending to our meal. Loved that they allowed us to decant our wine while we enjoyed a first round of cocktails. Overall, great food, but inform the server of how you plan to enjoy your meal so they can customize their service.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMIndoors or outdoors, PratoIndoors or outdoors, Prato is enjoyable. Constantly changing menu with interesting spice twists.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMA great first date!I have been to Prato a handful of times, always for lunch and it's always perfect. I have never had a bad experience with the staff and any inconvenses that might have arised from our orders have been handled by management before we even know the problem excited.
On this particular night my reservations at Prato were a little different I was on a first date and I wanted things to go smoothly so upon finding out my date liked Italian I entrusted the help of the staff to make the night special and it was. Our waitress was helpful but gave us our privacy, the resturant was busy but not hectic or loud and the food was amazing as always. We left extremely happy and he asked me on a second date so I must have done something right. Thanks Prato!4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMPrato Lunch at Easter.Food and service were great on a very busy afternoon...Easter Day. The way the place is shaped makes it very noisy, hard for intimate conversation. Will go back.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were visiting from Calgary,We were visiting from Calgary, AB Canada and found this restaurant in the Winter Park area on OpenTable. We booked it for Easter dinner and really enjoyed the very fresh food and unusual presentations and combinations. The service was excellent as well. We were welcomed with the statement "Welcome to your new favorite restaurant." We must agree - at least for the Orlando area. It was all very nice!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Park Ave locationCraft cocktails, wonderful Italian wine list, and great pizzas...something for everyone here3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWill return every time i'MWill return every time i'M in town. One of my favorite places to dine. Thanks for the suberb food and service.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentFood was amazing! Shrimp Ravioli is awesome! We went to celebrate my birthday and the four of us ate "family style". I didn't want to share that Shrimp Ravioli!!! Also had the Prato Meatballs (the dish comes with 3 meatballs, but they happily brought out 4 (with small up charge) so that we could all have one), Widowmaker pizza, Heirloom Tomato, Aleppo Campanelle "Del Mare", Tiramisu and Lemon Poppy Cake - All were A+
All in all, had a GREAT meal!3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMEverytime I visit this restaurantEverytime I visit this restaurant I continue to be blown away. The food is incredible, and there is always something new and exciting to try! Our servers are always knowledgeable about the food and wine, and their service is always top notch. Hands down my favorite restaurant in Orlando!3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMFood is consistently amazingFood is consistently amazing here. I've never had anything there I haven't thouroughly enjoyed.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot for out of town guestsOur server, Hannah, was fantastic. The food was spectacular. The only thing I didn't like was the polenta, which was served creamy style, when I prefer the cornbread-like texture version. Still, when I informed Hannah of this, she offered to take it off my bill (which I rejected of course, it was my mistake, not hers).
My friends loved it and it was their first time dining there. All in all, I will go back there again and again.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AM
