Diner Reviews
  • "We ate here (repeat visit) before a play at the Walton Arts Center. I recommend reservations, because they are a popular place and therefore very busy. We enjoyed our meal, and will return again."

  • "Food was delicious, the dessert brownie sundaae was to die for. If you like chocolate, you'll love it! The lobster bisque soup is out of this world good. I could eat it every day & never get tired of it!"

  • "For the most part, food was good but the etouffee was too soupy. It was good but the server did not bring the muffins as promised."

  • "Good food, good service, good wine, we were seated promptly."

  • "Great atmosphere. Was not very crowded. We're seated within 10 minutes. Waiter was helpful and checked on us at appropriate times. Had the Lobster Bisque and pound of snow crab legs. Both were very good."

  • "Service was horrible and food wasn't cooked as ordered . Will never go back or recommend .."

  • "The quality of the seafood here is shameful for a seafood restaurant. I refuse to eat at chain restaurants now but I think Red Lobster is much better than Powerhouse. I thought the service and the atmosphere was great though. A lot of people go to this restaurant but I would have a hard time believing they go for the seafood. If anything go order a kilowatt before a night out on Dickson."

  • "We had a great eating experience. I have eaten here 9 times within the last 13 months and everytime has been a positive dining experience! Also, each time I brought different guest with me and all my guest loved "The Power House"! I will definitely be back!"
    Dined on 2/19/2014
  • "I've always enjoyed the food here. Prices are affordable. Service is usually top notch, however the last time I was here the waitress wasn't initially on top of things but she got her act together soon after. Will definitely be back."

  • "We knew the restaurant would be busy on Valentine's Day but we were able to make a reservation on line. The restaurant has a great eclectic ambience. I had the Crawfish Trio; fried crawfish, sautéed crawfish; on a bed of crawfish etoufee. My wife had a New York strip steak with brandy mushroom sauce and mashed potatoes. We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere very much. This was our first visit and we plan to return often and eat our way through the menu."

  • "Heard good reviews and came away unimpressed. Prices were ok, but service was spotty. Went before a play and expected better for a Saturday Night."

  • "This isn't the first time we have visited Power house. As before the service was outstanding but the food was so -so at best.. The price was to expensive for the quality food. Our group all had Alligator and steak in one form or another.."

  • "Many thanks for having our table set for nine on Saturday evening. Reservations were perfect!"

  • "My wife and I had a great experience on New Year's Eve. We made reservations several weeks prior so we had no problem getting a seat. The staff did a job dealing with the people calling and coming in demanding a table even though they didn't plan ahead. We had a great bottle of wine at a reasonable price. Our steak was cooked great and was seasoned well."

  • "The food at the restaurant was average. Not bad at all. Waiter acted like he was forcing himself to be nice. Had to ask three times for a to-go box. Other waiters and customers kept bumping into my wife while we were dining. Hostess guided guests right by our table instead of using the walking lane created by the layout. Unprofessional. We usually avoid going out on New Years Eve, even though it is my wifes birthday, and now we remember why."

  • "This is a restaurant we usually love visiting. We had quite an LONG wait to get any service when we first arrived. Then after a young man said he was not told he had people in his area, it took almost an hour for all of our food to get to our table. When we arrived the was just one another group near us, three other families came in after us. They all received service promptly and even got their food before us. Very frustrating to have such a terrible waiter and to wait that long for food. We will not be returning to Powerhouse."

  • "Food was nasty, ponchatrain was the worst I've ever tasted, lobster and steak was both tough. Manager was rude and refused to give us a discount for the horrible food. When making the reservation online we requested a table for 2 in a corner and we were put in the middle of a bunch of tables. It was so crowded that the waiter and other customers kept bumping into us and our table. Never again!!!!!"

  • "Good selection on the menu. Would like to see a kids menu. We had a group of 12 did not have any complaints. Server did a great job."

  • "We went for my husband's birthday. Enjoyed everything very much! Food was delicious and service was great! Had their signature drink the Kilowatt it was very good but very strong don't recommend more than one of you're driving! Lol. Hadn't eaten there in years and it was just as good as I remember!"

  • "Great service, great food, one of those not too loud or too quiet places. I've taken my kids, we've eaten inside, outside, upstairs, etc. Every time we go, it's the best. This team knows their industry and caters to the customer well. Servers are friendly, respectful, and always smiling. Food is fantastic! We always have great company and have even met some new friends here out on the patio. We've never been disappointed and I don't suspect you will either."

  • "We ate at Powerhouse before the theater and were served and had time to relax before the show. The service was outstanding with the waiter recommending an IPA beer that met expectations. We ordered four different meals and all were outstanding. We all agreed that this was the best place we have tried in Fayetteville."

  • "Asked for a private table away from the door when I made the online reservation for our special occasion & it was great! Thanks"

  • "I used to love powerhouse. That was a long time ago apparently. I ordered the same dish (Ponchatrain) as I had in the past, but it looked like chipped beef with shrimp over my salmon and tasted worse. The salmon was well cooked itself and had some flavor. Everything else was bland. The chicken kabob was bland, the crab was bland, the calamari was so-so, but had parmesan caked on. Fish of the Day was tilapia... The parking lot was full, but the place was empty, and I figured out why. I was disappointed from start to finish. The sad part is that the food used to be great and it was kind of a cool setup in an old power plant."

  • "I really enjoy the beer challenge! I'm from Texas and my boyfriend is from Washington State. I'm used to Texas seafood and he's always picky! He loved y'all's seafood! That's saying a lot! I wish y'all did something for a birthday but regardless we enjoyed it!"
    Dined on 11/10/2013
  • "Good atmosphere. Martini was well made. Meals didn't come out together, service a tad sloppy. Tilapia is a low grade fish, would recommend they upgrade to a better fish."
    Dined on 11/9/2013
  • "I had a wonderful meal here, the steak was great. You have to try the kilowatt, this place is perfect if you want a good meal, but it's not cheap."

  • "This was our first time in there. We were in awe with the decor of the building and loved that its history was on the menu. Our server was very pleasant, knowledable and never skipped a beat with making sure we had everything we needed. We ordered a steak to share and when he brought it out, it was a still a little underdone for my taste (not my husbands) so he took it back to cook for more time. He sent the apologies from the Chef as he said that wasn't even a medium cook. I just thought I was being picky. The only improve I would suggest, is we came in from the back, from the deck and was a little lost for minute trying to find anyone to direct us where to go. So maybe signs to the main seating."
