A word from Potlikker
Potlikker restaurant serves American regional, seasonal food with a fine dining attention to detail paid to dishes with roots in rural and home cooking.

I chose the name "Potlikker" because it is an American dish that does not belong to any one particular person, rather it is the product of a region, as well as a fortuitously delicious product of necessity. Our menu is a modern take on dishes that have been around for many years; some of these things you still find on menus today, some have long since fallen out of fashion and some were never deemed fancy enough to make it onto a restaurant menu in the first place. We make 'em all here, bringing them onto our menu as the weather and growing season dictate.

If you have a party larger than 6 people, please call 718-388-9808 for a reservation, thank you!

Diner Reviews
  • "Two other guests and I met here for brunch on Sunday May 4th. Though the food was delicious, it took a cery long time for them to take our order. When they came to adk for our drinks we ordered our food right away and the waitress seemed a little grumpy. She wasn't overly rude but my friend was still talking about what to order and she turned to the other guest. It was strange. Anyway, the food was delicious - even the coffee. It's a great brunch spot. We sat in one of the booths in the back which is better for chatting. The front is noisy. Overall a nice place to check out."

  • "This is a cozy delicious neighborhood gem. The food is great and the wait staff personable, especially Stephanie. My visiting guests always are amazed by the dutch pancake, either savory or sweet, on Saturday we had both. Great idea to include sandwiches on evening menu, bec there are more choices and more price points. Again, I always love this place!"

  • "Been eating LIza Queen's food for at least ten years. Loved Queen's HIdeaway, but Pottliker blows it out of the water. It also blows just about everything else in the neighborhood out of the water. And nothing beats it for the price. I've never had a bad bite there."

  • "I have been to Potlikker many many times. They have a small menu, but everything on it is delicious. New for now. A bit german maybe. Or what are those Dutch pancakes: both savory and sweet? The service is very friendly, desserts particularly good."

  • "We had a really tasty meal, everything we ordered was great and it looked as thought the food brought to people around us was just as outstanding. Never really packed, great service, loved the food, would return again."

  • "for a 2 chef restaurant in a small kitchen the ticket time is very impressive, food always consistent and tasty. the chicken brick is exceptional with the mini pot pie on the side. the Dutch pancake dessert is downright delish."

  • "My group of four (in late 20s, early 30s) had a great Fri night dinner. The restaurant was not crowded. Service was outstanding. Menu was great because appetizers were easy to share, wine list was excellent, and the entrees have a mix of fancier (e.g. roast pork) and more casual (e.g. french dip sandwich). Great modern take on old classic dishes."
