Diner Reviews
  • "First time at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant and was very impressed. When a chef has as many restaurants as he does, I start thinking it will be more a "chain" dining experience. This was a great experience, start to finish. Our party of four enjoyed varied dishes: gnocchi (made "of the moment" and nice, light fluffy ones, sauced perfectly), the special veal chop (may have been one of the best we have ever eaten!), pizza (delicious), salads were good too! Wine list was good and we enjoyed our wine even after the sommelier came out with the right wine but 10 year difference on vintage (typo on wine list); we switched to a different wine -- all handled professionally and friendly. I would definitely go back and would try other WP restaurants."

  • "Our food was delicious. We were able to get a table on the "patio" area where you can hear and see the live productions and music out in the middle of the Venetian. Our server Brandy was excellent."

  • "Sitting out on the patio of the Grand Canal provided a great ambiance of really sitting at the square in Venice. The food was good, but location made it more worth the while."

  • "A must for any trip to Las Vegas. Best roasted chicken in the country. Never go to Vegas without dining at least one time at Postrio."

  • "The food was not good at all. We are food crazy folks and would not recommend this restaurant in Venice casino in vegas"

  • "This was my first visit to this restaurant. The food was good, but not worth the price. Service was very poor, which made the overall experience very annoying."

  • "I've had dinner at Postrio for a number of years when in Vegas and always loved it. This time, however, was a terrible experience. The waiter simply ignored us. In addition to ignoring us, he removed the menus before we ordered, we were brought the wrong drink, and then the wrong food. When he did come to our table after very long delays, he acted as if he did not care whatsoever about providing service. Beyond the service, the prices have increased significantly and the portions of the pasta dishes were the size of an appetizer. The one positive note was that the pasta was an excellent and unique preparation. I don't expect a large serving, but I do expect the serving to be adequate (as it has always been in the past). Sadly, disappointed."

  • "Fun place to have dinner while enjoying the free show at the square"

  • "Well worth a visit - you can sit outside in St Mark's Square = actually in the middle of the Shoppes at the Venetian with dusk sky on the ceiling...... OR inside in a spacious dining room. Very attentive staff - food well priced with a super starter of Orange Blossom stuffed with ricotta and herbs and finished tempura style. Good entrees - large desserts - cookie selection =10 or 12 items. Wine was maybe a good selection but severely overpriced as is the common fault at a number of Vegas restaurants. Well worth a return visit"

  • "We've eaten here almost 10 times, including twice this week. Most dishes have been very good. The indoor location in the center of the Venetian mall has a cool outdoor feel. Even though we had a reservation & the place was less than 1/2 full, the hostess 1st tried to seat us at the bar. When we said we wanted to sit @ a table, she rolled her eyes and then stuck us in a less than pleasant location in front of a brightly lit luggage store. When we asked to move, she was obviously annoyed & would not make eye contact & made us wait for no apparent reason. We had to escort ourselves to the new table and retrieve our menus. Her attitude was uncalled for. If not for our fine waitress, we would have given a zero for service."

  • "We love the food and service at Postrio. We come to Vegas 3 to 5 times per year and always make sure one of our evenings centers around a meal at Postrio. The other entrees look delicious but I can never get past the Free Range Roasted Chicken. A good meal at a fair price in St Marks Square with lots of things to see and food to enjoy."

  • "The outdoor feeling of the square at the Venetian where the sky is always blue adds to the overall experience at this cheerful restaurant. We know we can count on the Wolfgang Puck organization for a lovely meal."

  • "Food was very good. Service was a little slow and it wasn't busy."

  • "Have visited before and once again not disappointed. We prefer outside on the indoor patio than inside where it seems a little too formal. We had the free range chicken and it was great. We only had a glass each of the house wine and did not spend time reviewing the wine list so no comment there."

  • "Reservation made one week ahead for dinner for 17 people. Appetizers delivered quickly but dinner was slow to arrive.. our guests became restless and had to ask server to try to find out about entrees more than once. Dinner took 2 hours...way too long for that many diners. Food very average."

  • "Really feels like you are dining in an Italian outdoor café. Good food, service and ambience. We never miss it when we are in Las Vegas."

  • "As a food lover, the food was cooked perfectly. I have special dietary needs and they were more than pleased to prepare the meal I needed. This has been a challenge at other restaurants. It will be a place to return when we come back to Vegas. By far the best filet mignon I have eaten while here in Vegas. My husband had a seafood meal that was deelish. A super friendly and attentive staff. This restaurant is located at the Venetian."

  • "We visited Postrio on a recent visit to Vegas. We enjoyed the outdoor café (sort of outdoor as it was in the enclosed Venetian), with all the business of a pretend visit to Venice. Food was good. Service was impeccable. Would return."

  • "We were not disappointed with Postrio. Our waiter and his assistant were wonderfully attentive without being obnoxious. Friendly guys who made the evening. We dined early before catching a show so place was pretty empty. Started filling up about 3/4 of the way through our dinner, but service quality never changed. Food was yummy and very well presented. Portions were perfect. Pork schnitzel was fabulous and held its crispness. Would love to know how they did that. Porcini mushroom agnolotti was perfectly cooked and packed a beautifully balanced earthy/creamy flavor. Can still taste it almost a week later. We sat inside at a booth and found it was a wonderfully romantic anniversary dinner. Way too noisy outside on patio."

  • "We have eaten at Postrio several times and always return. The wait staff are excellent; friendly and knowledgeable. The food is excellent although we seem to order the same food each time as its a favorite. The appetizers and desserts are also excellent. Would definitely recommend this restaurant."

  • "Located in the open square, it it very noisy as there are musuc shows being held nearby and lots of people walking around. food was ok and not anything special. The Venetian is a very nice casino/hotel to walk around in. The pizzas were good and the tuna app was a hit with the group. The calamari received fair reviews as did the salads."

  • "Sea bass and beet salad were amazing. Everything else was good--Caesar salad, pasta with clams, mushroom pizza. Lemon meringue dessert was a little odd. Kumamoto oysters were briny good but a little salty. Service was very nice and a nice wine recommendation. A fine meal but not out of this world."

  • "Wonderful meal -- delectable Caesar salad to start (appreciated the half portion recommended by the waitress; otherwise it would have been too much food) followed by a brand new pasta dish on the menu that had such a great sauce that I requested a bread basket just to have the means to mop up the excess (made with cream, garlic, herbs and the earthiest blend of mushrooms -- yum!) A rich chocolate dessert and a perfect macchiato rounded out an outstanding meal experience. prosecco priced at $9 a glass was a reasonable accompaniement to the meal, made perfect by the Venetian's palazzo performers -- dinner and a show!"

  • "We had a wedding dinner at Postrio's for a party of nine and it was a great success all around. The food was great, our wine expert was very satisfied with the wine list, and the restaurant was very flexible when it came to our delayed arrival due to transportation issues."

  • "Appetizers and wine were great, never got to the main course since we gave up waiting after two hours and left. I know they were busy but we did provide a heads up on our time limit and the tables around us got food faster so I'm not sure what was going on in back. The manager was good and cut 20% off our bill, but at the end of the day we did go away hungry."

  • "Despite the tightness of tables crammed together in a small footprint, the servers were very attentive and the food was excellent. The view of St. Marks square in the Venetian is beautiful- you feel like you are enjoying a pleasant outdoor meal. I was just able to catch a glimpse of the performance space, but the best reason to go is for the food! They offered a kid's menu. My husband and I were there for brunch and splurged on some superb fresh donuts before enjoying our finely crafted sandwiches. Even the french fries were very light and flavorful. We actually tried it because we had a 20% off deal for the whole check from a discount ticket place, but I would definitely return!"

  • "The food was just okay. Crab cakes were yummy. I had the shortribs which I thought was too dry and my husband had the filet special which was better. Our food took forever to arrive and although our waiter was very apologetic, it was still too long. They did give us a free desert for the long delay which was delicious. Overall, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great."

  • "Had early dinner before a 6:30pm show. No other diners except us in the restaurant. Perfect for our big party. Food was good and reasonably priced given the location, location, location except the seafood sampler plate. The oyster was just so-so. And it's quite pricey. Service was great."

  • "The service here was awful. It took us over 20 minutes to get a waiter to our table. We ordered wine then had to follow up twice for them to bring it to us. The waitress took our order but got distracted and walked away without taking the last person's order. Never seen anything like it. The food was good but don't think it was worth it."

  • "Booked this for New Years Eve dinner very disappointing. Waitress was cold and abrupt, shrimp and scallops were fishy tasting, chicken was visually unappealing. At no point did anyone ask how things were, I can only assume they don't care or were aware of the issues mentioned."

  • "Visited Postrio for New Year's Eve dinner. Excellent service - waiter, servers. Menu is A la cart which is a nice alternative from the fixed menus at other fine restaurants in the Venetian on New Year's Eve (especially for someone like myself with food allergies who must be sure to exclude certain food choices). Our meal was excellent with the appetizer and entrees well presented and flavorful. Location on St. Mark's Square presents the additional "flavor" of the Venetian."
