  • "Had a very nice lunch with a business friend. Service was prompt and the salad a shrimp and crab meat salad was quite good."

  • "The restaurant felt a little empty for a saturday night and 8 pm reservation. But, the service was mostly great and the food was delicious. Great restaurant for a date night."

  • "Perfect for a Saturday lunchtime meeting. restaurant was quiet. our table received just the right amount of attention to service so our party was able to discuss the business at hand. salads, as always, were perfectly presented and tasty."

  • "Been going to Post Oak grill for several years and never had a bad meal and this was no exception!! Service was unusually slow especially since it was early evening and there were very few patrons there. Definitely will continue to go here however."

  • "The only thing that was worth mentioning was the free bread basket. Went there for lunch. Has the crab avocado salad. It was drenched in mayo or whatever that dressing was and little lettuce to offset it. Tasted more like a dip. Chicken salad sandwich lacked flavor. Very bland and uninteresting meal. We were splitting 2 dishes and the staff didn't think to put it on one plate. Definitely doable due to the dishes ordered. Huge Plates took up our whole table. "

  • "I've been going to Post Oak Grill for many years and never disappointed. I ordered the crispy shrimp and dessert. Our waiter Kevin treats us like we are the only one in the room. Most recently he saw me at table before he could get there then came over with my fav drink. Never a bad meal. Always friendly service. "

  • "Great place for lunch especially on a rainy day ( covered parking / valet service). Our waiter Kevin is the best and always remembers my fav beverage. Also great place for business lunch."

  • "my first time going to this restaurant, and have always heard it was a nice place with good food. sadly this is not what i encountered, the services was slow at best. there were many times i felt like i was forgotten about, until another waiter noticed i was trying to flag down are original server. the food was fair but not what i expected for the price, I've been to cheaper with much better food. the pasta was ok but i would pick carrabas's over there's and the desert just sad. to top its all of the waiter gave me the wrong check as in one from another table already payed for signed and all. many times i felt like just walking about of the place. i well not be coming back and i regret making the chose to comes in the first place."

  • "We reserved and requested a quiet table to celebrate with our 86 year old mother. It seems there was a very large bat mitzvah party in the bar. The music was blaring with middle schoolers running amok in, out and around the restaurant the entire evening. They were rowdy and disrespectful of the diners. I think we should have been warned us that it would not be a quiet, adult dinner. It was more like being in the Gym for a basketball game. The food and service were wonderful, but the noise was unbearable."

  • "We got engaged here in 2008: then it was classy, with cultured clientele to match. We tried a return on Valentine's day to celebrate our engagement and were saddened. For 9:30 reservations, we arrived at 9:15 to a line out the door to check in. 15 min later, upon checking in with the hostess and mentioning our reservations, we got- "Look around, so does everyone else here!!!" I asked about the wait, and was told it would be 20 minutes. A couple who had worked their way to the front of the standing-room only lobby, said they were 1 hr past their reservation already. My wife overheard a waitress mention they added 50 tables, no staff! Meanwhile playing country-sounding music for ambiance (??) Really disappointed in the greed. We left."

  • "I've always heard that this was a good place to eat. The waiter we had did his bare minimum to serve us. Not once did he ask us how are meal was and we had to ask to have our water filled every time we ran low. The serving sizes were the smallest on each of them. I will never go back or recommend them."

  • "Service was haphazard and disorganized. Food was lukewarm and bland. We won't be back."

  • "Terrible experience..added tables in aisles which made for awful dining. Our table was so unsteady we had to hold our wine and plates. Forgot one of our course. Food was mediocre. Will not be returning!!!"

  • "At the beginning everything was wonderful, we were immediately seated (with reservations). After 5-10 minutes the waiter took our orders. Our first course came out 20 minutes later, the food was not bad. Our second course never came. We sat there for literally TWO HOURS with no food, no drinks, and the waiter never once bothered to come by. When he finally arrived with our food, it was incorrect, of course. When they finally got it right, it still was not great. Not a single employee in the restaurant ever once apologized or explained the problem. They also brought in another table and placed it 3 feet away. Other couples came in after and still left before us. Truly the worst dining experience I've ever had. I would not recommend it."

  • "I look my wife to this place to celebrate Valentines night. Big MISTAKE! They clearly packed as many tables into the place as they could and cared NOTHING about the service being rendered. We got up and walked out after the waiter brought us a basket of roll/bread that had been PICKED OVER, EATEN FROM, PAWED OVER by another table in the place. They literally tried to serve us USED BREAD. The waiter apologized, but we did not stick around to take the chance on being served picked over entres! A TERRIBLE PLACE!!!"

  • "waited 30 minutes for a table. took 20 minutes for a waiter to bring us water another 10 for menus, 10 more minutes for silverware. Had to flag a waiter down for a wine list, waited to order but no one ever came so we walked out. doubt they noticed."

  • "Needs some serious updating in the space. The one in Sugarland is very nice!!"

  • "The food was wonderful. The electricity went off just after we ordered lunch. The waiters quickly put candles on every table and made the best of it. They had to turn people away, but took care of the people already seated. Electricity came back on just as we were leaving."

  • "The food and service are both off the charts and they do all the "little things" right. For example, their bread is to die for and the soups are heavenly. Bottom line, this place is one of the Houston's best restrauants."

  • "Post Oak Grill is still delicious. I had not eaten there in a while and was glad to see the service was excellent as was the food. For lunch I love their salads. Their menu offers a wonderful variety, without being overwhelming. Excellent food!"

  • "Maybe we chose the wrong night. Seated. Drinks served. Ordered appetizers, then later dinner which included tomato basil soup. Was served a different soup. The reason was that we were given yesterday's menu. The hostess apologized and said soups were comped. Main entrees came and they were OK. Repeatedly had to ask for help. Asked for the check, and were charged for 4 soups. Again, the hostess said she would comp the soups and took the check to revise it. The ticket came back and we were charged for two soups. What happened to the Comp? We just paid the bill and left. My wife and son had intestinal issues for the next two days. May have been the lamb. Don't know, but it will be a long time before we return."

  • "I had forgotten about Post Oak Grill until I happened to drive by last week. Took four friends Sat nite & we all said-how could we have forgotten about this great restaurant?! Good food, service, ambiance & the icing on the cake, seeing President & Mrs Bush across the room! We'll be back sooner!"

  • "There was a conference going on in the main room and a party in the party room. We were squeezed into a small interior room with tables so close the waiters could hardly reach the tables. It was noisy where nearly every conversation could be heard. The drinks and ordering was very slow (annoying) though the food eventually came and was good. Management should forewarn customers in situations like this."

Gracias a tan increíble Chef!"

    Dined on 9/7/2013
  • "The service was amazing!! The food was excellent. The only part of the meal that I didn't love was the dessert... three color chocolate mousse thing. I did love my companions dessert though!! Also, diners with children were seated in a separate area of the restaurant. When one of the babies started crying, the wait staff closed the sliding doors between that area and the rest of the restaurant and we were able to eat our meal without being disturbed. We couldn't hear anything even though we were right across from the sliding doors."

  • "Consistent excellent food quality and friendly professional service. Great atmosphere--can hold conversations with normal voice--without yelling! Great for all ages."
    Dined on 8/30/2013
  • "Definitely a more refined, wiser crowd. Lots of businessmen come here for their lunch break. The servers definitely cater to them more often than to Houston Restaurant Week patrons. The menu options were good, but the lobster salad definitely had frozen/refridgerated lobster meat, the shrimp tasted better than the lobster."
