Here, guests can have a more refined dining experience, and enjoy our large, open kitchen, wine displays, two private dining rooms, additional fireside dining and views of landmarks like Copley Place, Trinity Church and the Hancock Tower.

All in all, a good experience, just a bit on the pricey side for the quality/service/location/etc. No complaints, just a note. Lobster roll was delicious. Oysters were pleasant and the steak tartar appetizer was nice.

This place was pretty awesome. My boyfriend and I sat upstairs near the corner windows- it was neat to be able to see the lights and the busy street. The decor inside was also cool. The staff was very attentive and the food was excellent. We got the poke to start, no comparison to poke in Hawaii but still delicious. I got the salmon and my boyfriend got the swordfish for an entree. Both very yummy. I would highly recommend this place and definitely go back

Its unusual to find a restaurant in downtown Boston with a great mix of options including a lively bar, great restaurant and big group rooms all in one place but Post390 has it all. Beautifully decorated, friendly service and a very interesting menu made this a special evening. There are plenty of parking options including valet if you drive.

Dinning at Post 390 was delicious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The arugula ravioli was very tasty, I cleaned my plate! The fried clams were to die for! Another guest remarked how incredible the beets tasted. All in all the service was very good the food well above average and we left happy to have partaken!

We eat here regularly after attending the plays at Lyric Stage, and never have had a meal that wasn't outstanding in every way. The whole fish preparation is always a hit at our table. The "spaghetti" of pasta and zucchini and a tomato tartelette appetizer were first rate. This has been a consistently excellent place to dine. Our servers have been knowledgable and helpful.

We started with oysters - they were briny and tasted like the ocean. We also had the fried green tomatoes - mine needed a little more cooking time. The Jonah crab claws were really good and fresh as was the crab cake. The swordfish was supposed to be with mussels and octopus - I did not detect either one in my dish. We sent the first cava back - steely and not to our taste - and they accommodated us with a glass of prosecco. Our waitress disappeared for a while, the crab claws came after the entrees, timing was just a little off. All in all a good accommodating restaurant but not the experience we were hoping for.

We were dining upstairs, but the bar was so cozy, with a blazing fire, that we were tempted to stay. Upstairs, we tucked into a basket of fabulous warm Parker House rolls. Sadly, they were out of the trout, so I had the bacon brined heritage pork which was sensational. Tender, juicy, flavorful, with a perfect accompaniment of poached peaches. My husband loved the pan roasted halibut with artichokes and mushrooms, and my son enjoyed the house special bbq, beef cheeks, from the tavern menu -a weird choice for BBQ, but delicious and meltingly tender, although the portion was rather small. The S'mores ice cream dessert was a treat.Service was friendly and attentive. We'll be back.

Went here on a date because my girlfriend and I saw that the former chef here was on the Food Network, so we decided we had to give it a try. The restaurant itself is very nice, fairly quiet early on a Saturday night. We did oysters, entrees, dessert and coffee. The oysters were delicious, we tried all four types. For entrees I got the swordfish on a bed of white beans and my date got the arugula ravioli. Of the two, the ravioli was better, and I was a bit disappointed with the swordfish. Just seemed very standard, nothing special. Dessert was an almond cake with butter ice cream which was delicious, and the coffee was surprisingly good as well. Overall, a good place to get dinner if you're alright with spending a few bucks. Service=awesome

A+ Food! Server was super knowledgable. They had my favorite rose on the glass pour list!! Wait between apps & entree seemed a little long but not a reason for us not to come back. Love the ambiance too. You can come directly from work or be in jeans and still feel comfortable. We celebrated a friends birthday and they were sure to recognize this. Tried the special menu for Boston Rest. Week - kudos to Post 390 for not downsizing portions or cutting corners to fit the reduced $. Service was attentive, food was well-prepared and presented, served at correct temps, ingredients seemed top-notch. For starters, the corn bisque was impressive for a usually ordinary soup - perfect heat from spice and the small bay scallops were a nice flourish. The coffee crusted duck breast was served perfect medium-rare with a nice accompaniment of nectarines, goat cheese, and prosciutto. My table mate had the fried clams and hake - both excellent. Perfect ambience on a Monday evening - busy, not packed. I'll be back. Even at full price, this place is one of the better values in the Boston dining scene.

We loved the fixed price offering with wine pairings with farm to table freshness. Produce came from a farm that we know of (Ward's Berry Farm). Vegetable flavors were vibrant. The striped bass entree was excellent...fava beans and corn served with the fish were perfect. Loved the imaginative desserts especially the ricotta key lime pie with popcorn ice cream.

So the servers were nice but unorganized. One would take our order but then another would ask again..then we didn't get anything. The food was so boring and bland. It was't terrible...it wasn't anything. Nice place and nice people but the rest was forgettable. It has great places for groups (nice little 10-12 person rooms) if you don't care about what you eat. Also when you say "crab cakes" on the menu, there should be more than one, tiny crab cake.

What a fabulous meal. We won a gift certificate to Post 390 in a silent auction at a charity event and I'm so glad we did, as we hadn't yet ventured to this romantic spot right in our neighborhood. We were seated at the window on the second floor and had a beautiful view of Trinity Church. Not only was the food incredible (very farm-to-table feel), but the service was spot on. Both our waiter and the sommelier gave great recommendations that helped make the night. We will definitely be back!
