Went to 154 last summer & was bit underwhelmed. We heard they over hauled the menu and service & wow-what an improvement! The menu much more interesting. Food was outstanding as we shared several different plates; one was more interesting than the next. We'll be back for more!

This was our first visit to Post 154. My wife and I enjoyed the food, but found the service lacking. I hate restaurants where five different people wait on you, but nobody takes responsibility as your server. We ordered fresh berries with whipped cream for dessert. Not a very difficult thing to prepare. Yet, it took over 25 minutes for it to be served. We had to flag down several waiters to check on our order. On a positive note, the iceberg wedge, scallops and salmon were all good and presented well. They just need to get their act together!

My wife & I dined at Post 154 for the first time as a couple on Friday evening, 10/17. She had been there twice before for lunch & dinner. We both enjoyed our meals which consisted of Lobster Sliders & Eggplant Meatballs as appetizers, Pappardelle & Tortellini for entrees, two glasses of Cote du Rhone, & Ice Cream & Tres Leches for dessert. Every aspect of the meal was very satisfying, & we plan to be back again soon for dinner, & to also try the Sunday brunch & lunch. We were told in town that Post 154 is now under the management of the group that runs The Ginger Man in Greenwich. Furthermore, were the restaurant & building for sale before the new management & staff took over? We hope not. Please let everyone know in your reply.

From the moment you arrive you are greeted with a smile. The Service was spectacular the manager was funny and took the time to take us thru the menu. The food was on point will be back for more.

Enjoyed the food, although we had to return one entree because it was coid. Service was slow, however I cannot blame the waiter we had. It looked as if they were severely under staffed and our poor waiter was trying his best to handle way too many tables. I would recommend it, but I would not go back too soon.

When this restaurant opened, a lot of people tried it and came away disappointed, as did I. I can honestly say that the changes that have been implement with new management have resulted in an amazing transformation. The menu is interesting and varied and the food is outstanding. Every one of the 3 of our party who dined there a few nights ago raved about the food, its presentation, its quality and all of the special touches that obviously went into its presentation. Service was excellent - very attentive and caring. The décor is very attractive, noise level is low, tables are spaced nicely and overall it is quite comfortable. Give it another try.

We were very excited about trying this place, but were surprised it wasn't more crowded for a Saturday night at 7:30. The food was decent, at best. I expected a little bit more given the great options on the menu. The ambiance in the place is great. Very well done and aesthetically pleasing. The drinks were great. Good size for a fair price. But the food... it sounded a lot better when reading the description. The appetizers were all over the place in terms of genre, so perhaps that's why we thought the food left more to be desired. The chorizo tater tots were the best thing we had. Definitely recommend those. We did enjoy the patio area outside. Very large and comfortable. Staff was super attentive initially, but disappeared at the end.

  • Duck Nachos!

The duck confit chile con queso were amazing. (They are basically duck nachos with crema, cilantro, black beans and salsa.) The tuna tartare was fresh, but under-seasoned. We also had the churrasco, which was a hangar steak with chimichurri. The meat was tender and cooked correctly, but the chimichurri wasn't as good as others, as it was more of an onion relish than a parsley pesto. Atmosphere and service was lovely. They have a beautiful outdoor space. The place was relatively quiet, but it was a Tuesday night in August, when a lot of people are away.

I wish the food was better, as Post 154 is in a great location. Our appetizers were very yummy -- I had the beets and goat cheese, while my hubby had the duck chili nachos. He had the C.A.B. strip for a main course -- which came well overcooked and dry. My pork chop was also over cooked, and the mac n cheese too creamy (yes, there is such a thing). Next time we'll double down on the apps.

The ambiance was quite nice, attractive design. The food and service were first rate and the free valet parking was a nice amenity. The menu was creative. It is hard to know how noisy it gets as the restaurant had a small crowd as it was the middle of August with everyone on vacation and we were early. My only complaint was they serve a very short glass of wine, only about 2/3 of what you get in any other restaurant. They would be better off to charge a little more and give a better serving. Not smart.

Was there on a Saturday night the bar was hopping as was the outside seating. We were given a very nice booth (party of 4) and waiter came to take drink order, delivered drink order and then didn't come back for close to 20 minutes to take our dinner orders. When asked which salad he'd recommend as an appetizer, he just laughed, in a condescending way, and said "I don't know, I've never been asked that before." It took a very long time for our main courses to come out of the kitchen but for the most part all the food was tasty. Tuna Tartare appetizer was good, scallop entree, roast chicken and pasta primavera were also good. Asian salad was mediocre and the $9 extra charge for 3 shrimp was a bit steep. Better options abound in town.
